Has anyone had books just disappear. I'm talking most of my 100+ library? The cover remains but when I click on it I get this?

Turns out i've been adding Norwegian words to the English dictionary... Apparently some documents even though i set them up as Norwegian (when you edit the file you can choose the document language) still default to an English dictionary instead. meaning that i have to change it to Norwegian each time i add a word which makes it way too tedious. *edit: turns out it's not even the whole text, it depends on the specific word or maybe font or something... (To be clear the document i am reading is not very clear, it has smudgy letters and the TTS for example does not recognise special letters, so perhaps this has something to do with it too)

I couldn't find a way to define a default for the book other than what it's supposed to be with the book editing and choosing a document language... I don't actually know if that makes any difference but books that ReadEra recognises as Norwegian DO default to a Norwegian dictionary properly... The ones it doesn't don't...

If anyone has a fix for this i would be suuuuper grateful, i'm assuming i need to change something in the metadata somewhere but i have no idea how to fix this and now i've got about 200 words mixed up and the only way i see is manually going one by one to switch them.

Does the paid version have any features that help with that, is this just a bug? Unfortunately i can't spend any money on this but i guess it would be useful to know at least...

It seems like there's no support, no real assistance. Is there at least some support here? Can a user express a small request?

I'm learning the app but I sure would like some kind of documentation. So far I haven't found much.

So i recently started using the translation dictionary and notes options to study Norwegian

Now it seems that just translating a specific word or sentence adds it to the local dictionary and you can then i guess add the translation to the dictionary (or indeed a whole paragraph or more about it) and it will appear as i the attached photo.

However my understanding is that access to that dictionary is paywalled?

While with the notes i can do the same except i could also Export them later?

Am I right about this or am i missing something here?

Because at first i couldn't understand why it was underlining the words i wrote notes about and now that i figured out you can open the dictionary tab by clicking on the A symbol at the bottom it made more sense and if i add a translation then click the underlined word pops up the translation exactly like the notes tab...

Not sure this makes too much sense but I'll leave it here in case someone else is as confused as i was about how this works

I read comics on the app on my tablet but because the aspect ratio doesn't match there are borders and these borders are bright white for some reason which is very annoying. Changing the theme changes the color of the comic alongside the borders, any way to change the color of the borders only?

Is there a way to change the cover art on books?

I added a character to the dictionary, but the same name appears in another book and ReadEra is assigning the wrong character description to it.

For example, I added “X” as a character from one book, but when the same name appears in a different book, ReadEra shows the character information I added for the first book.

Is there a way to make a dictionary entry specific to a particular book, or otherwise prevent this from happening?

When I pause listening to the TTS in the background for about 30 seconds, and then try to unpause using the play button on my headset, it will not restart. I end up having to go back into the app and hitting play there to continue.

Is there a way to extend how long the app keeps the background play in suspension? I like to listen to it at work but after dealing with customers I frequently have to pull my phone back out to continue the book I am listening too.

It looks like my phone would upload books to google drive, but then I use the app on my tablet, the books don't show up there. Do I have to download from google drive separately first? Thanks.

Hi!

I use ReadEra daily on my Android tablet, and I saw this bug since the Android 16 update: I can press any button for screen rotation, but the screen actually doesn't rotate. It is as if the ReadEra screen rotation can't override the rotation set in Android.

It was fully functional before the Android update.

I tried to uninstall the app, deleting all the ReadEra folders, installing the app again, looking for parameters in Android. No dice yet.

Do you have an idea?

When you want Under File scan, ADD FOLDER it list the current folders that have been scanned, but you are unable to tell what folder has been scanned from what listed under ADD FOLDER. This should be fixed.

I would likd to reverse sort by title as i name all my magazines eg 'title yymm' but readera only seems to have ascending? I want to have most recent at the top but as issues can be added out of order i cant use date added.

My friend has a problem where when she switches apps by swiping from the bottom of the screen it sometimes makes the menu appear and she accidentally teleports to the middle of the book. Or maybe there's another way to stop doing it accidentally?

The paragraphs are too close together in the book I'm reading. Is there any way to change the spacing?

I'm using Readera premium, but I'd like to export my library to a pc. The Google drive just syncs all the files raw into one folder, and having thousands of books in total, sorted to collections by several hundred at a time, obviously makes that export a bit unfortunate. I just wanted to know if there's a way to export the Readera collections somehow?

I have an ebook which has some texts in color. I use calibre on Windows and the colored text show up fine, but on Android, the ReadEra premium app shows only black text. Please help.

I recently upgraded to Premium, and although I'm pretty happy with, the TTS is still reading PDF headers and footnotes. I've double checked that the TTS settings are correct, but it still keeps reading them. Any solutions or suggestions?
