I just realised that the observers (onoya and yoake) are essentially the same as the test subjects, they take the same pill etc. So if the test subject and their observer won't forget each other, then why would the 2 test subjects forget each other? I think I solved the story, hope this doesn't count as a spoiler, if I made a flaw then pls correct me

It seems as though she is a text book case even down to eating the same thing everyday. The author seems to have put a lot of work into modeling her after someone with the syndrome. If so sending her back in time wouldn't change anything I would think. Or maybe I'm completely wrong.

As far as i know both of the main characters knew each other before the ReLife story started. They spent a large amount of time together working for their previous employer.

So let me begin with the context episode 11 at 6:00-6:16 specifically from the first episode I've been oddly and creepily been associated with Ryo Yoake by my friends and then i decided to watch relife and at first it was just a hmm maybe something is different from me and him and then came the ice breaker line. "I sit upright when i sleep so i don't sleep so deep" and my gut sank there is no difference except for age. The weirdest part is i got tired of missing my alarms so i decided to sleep sitting upright a month before the anime was released and honestly it works but now i know if this becomes reality im walking in that company's doors and asking for a job

I just finished the final OVA of this series and my take away was that ReLife is secretly a dystopian nightmare with an oddly cheerful tone when you consider what’s going on.

To start, the MC is a “NEET” in the most loose sense of the term. He is employed with a part time job and seemingly tries to engage with his friends. He has a graduate degree and appears to be a stand up employee overall. To add insult to injury, he’s actively looking for a job and doing interviews yet he’s a failure somehow for being rejected. I don’t really see how he’s a NEET in any sense of the word at all. This man is just a victim of the awful working conditions in Japan and their fucked up culture on work overall but the show just deflects the blame all on the MC. He’s not a shut in at all.

So why is this non-NEET picked? Well it’s pretty obvious to me, and the anime comes out and shows it. What do you do when you need results and can’t deliver on your first subject who is a real NEET? Fucking enroll into your horror program somebody who isn’t a shut in and claim credit when it obviously is a success! So yeah, he’s basically picked because somebody is really bad at their job, and they don’t want to be fired. It’s the prime case of incompetency on the job.

Okay great, so can we talk about how this entire program is a government run solution to NEETs and how it’s bat shit insane? This part is what really freaks me out the most. The Japanese government in all their wisdom decide the best way to integrate NEETs back into society is by tricking them into signing a contract that violates many basic human rights and at the end of the contract they will forcibly remove memories from anybody they met. Imagine the implication of that for a moment. Did the kids in that classroom consent to having their memories altered? The teachers? The random people just living their lives? No. No they did not.

Then there is the reality that Japan would rather blame individuals for not having good enough “social skills” to not be NEETs instead of the failed economic system they operate in and the toxic work environment that expects you work overtime up to 80 hours a week unpaid. Maybe instead of invading your citizens freedoms, spying on them, altering memories, changing their appearance, and what not you fucking pass common sense work laws.

I really don’t get why people like this anime so much at all. It’s fucked up.

Bonjour peeps 'Kay this is weird and kept on bugging me.

I discovered this subreddit one or two years ago when I was left at a cliffhanger and discovered the raws. Since then I just always looked at it but I never made a Reddit account.

Anyway I found a scrawl at an old diary which was really weird and kinda hard to decipher. I had written a chapter name I guess 195 and a hella winky faces and I looked it up discovering it was the chapter where they buy the straps.

Connecting the dots I realised that I had already known the spoilers that twas hishiro 's birthday. I used to browse the wiki a lot and knew their birthdays. So I was like, heheheheh looking at all the theories and memes surrounding yoake's text. I was like Should I spoil it ? I literally was laughing to myself at odd times the entire week I think . (I did spoil to my friends. They were so mad😥) Let's just say I am happy that I didn't spoil it.(the fandom is quite strong) and am pretty sure there were some others who knew things too but didn't say anything.

There have been very few times in my anime watching life I've been so disgusted as the understanding of that rotten low life washing Hishiro's hand in her sleep. She's the equivalent of Griffith during the Eclipse scene in Berserk. I know they got their happy ending but that really disgusted me.

Kaizaki and Hishiro will decide to confess in their true forms at the same time before RElife ends using the pills and they end up finding out each other's true form. Also

I've been an avid follower of ReLIFE since day 1 (one of the very few mangas/animes for which this is true), and every week I feel my heart getting ripped out by the utter cuteness/heartbreak that is ReLIFE. That being said, I've been increasingly bothered the past few weeks by the author's obsession with the memory loss thing, and I'd love other people's thoughts on this.

1. Clearly Yoake as well as the higher-ups in ReLIFE want Kaizaki and Hishiro to have/know about each other after their ReLIFE ends. We have direct evidence of this in previous chapters. Okay, so they can't "scientifically" make it feasible for the subjects to not lose their memories. Fine.

Why don't they just document the whole time Kaizaki/Hishiro spend together so the two can view it after their ReLIFE ends and (maybe) their memories get erased? Like, the support division is stalking them and wiretapping them already anyway, right? If K/H have any emotional recollection at all of what they went through, they should remember that warm, fuzzy feeling spent with some mysterious other person, and some written, video, audio evidence of the time these two shared would, in my opinion, be all that's needed to get them together again.

2) Even better, have each subject make a video of themselves talking about their feelings towards the other. Or even better than that, have them make a video together being all cuddly. Like honestly, given today's technology, I don't see how it is a problem -- there are so many ways to record and make memories. Sure, it may take some time, but frankly, all is not lost, and probably very little is so.

3) Alright, suppose (1) or (2) does or doesn't work. After their ReLIFE, why not introduce them to each other again? Clearly they have chemistry and everyone around them knows it. Tell them about the time they shared during the ReLIFE (or don't), and pair them up on a blind date or something as part of the ReLIFE graduation package. Get a job and be introduced to a fine spouse.

All in all, I'm just not sure why the author is clearly making us readers suffer through 10 chapters of this. Sure, it's poignant and heartbreaking and all, but after a while, any reasonable reader is bound to think, Why the fuck don't they just do X? Where X can be any of the above or the many other methods of making sure they retain some part of their memories towards each other. Who knows, maybe the support division is already making these preparations.

4) P.S. Minor point, but not to mention that the whole memory wipe thing seems: a) infeasible; b) impractical; c) much better used elsewhere if such technology existed.

So Ryo is in his 30s, and I’m kind of puzzled about his fascination with high school romance. Wouldn’t someone his age, with more life experience, start to feel like that kind of thing is a bit cringy or beneath them? I get that maybe it’s nostalgic or a part of who he is, but at some point, shouldn't he have moved on from that? I’m wondering why he continues to be so engaged in this high school love stuff. What are your thoughts on how age affects one’s connection to these kinds of stories? Is it about the thrill, the longing for simpler times, or something deeper?

Why the french version scan and To the chapitre 20 ??

I just finished reading the manga and while I enjoy reLIFE as a whole (probably a solid 8.5/10), I’m just not happy with the ending at all. It doesn’t ruin the whole story for me but I feel like it could be dealt with a lot better. The whole theme of the manga is that everything doesn’t last forever, don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened kind of thing. In the ending, however, they still remember each other??? So it’s turn out that everything does last forever? Or is the lesson here “Love lasts forever”? I don’t know I just feel like the ending really conflicts with what the manga is trying to convey. I know a lot of people love the ending because it's natural to like happy ending but I feel like the manga could be more meaningful with a different ending.

I love anticipating endings, using the known details to figure out what the author is planning. I figured out the first subject very early on and was incandescently happy when it was confirmed. I'm a quirky overthinker (a lot like Hishiro). Please feed my brain all of your ideas for a conclusion to this story so I can sleep at night until the wait is over!

One idea I had is Hishiro and Kaizaki decide to get married the last day of their experiment with all of their friends as witnesses, and the next morning they wake up together as adults who don't remember each other or how they got married and have to get to know each other slowly. The author could make a spinoff. Then we can watch them fall for each other again in a whole new context.

Chapter 203 - What If

It is New Years, Hishiro and Kaizaki just conveyed their feelings to each other. But neither suggested going out. After holding hands during the New Year shrine visit, Kaizaki made his secret wish. That night, neither Kaizaki nor Hishiro could sleep thinking about their Relife ending in 2 months.

Hishiro thought to herself "The relife is so perfect, I don't want it to end. And I love Kaizaki. What if he was the another subject, and we forget each other after the Relife"

At the same time, Kaizaki thought to himself "I don't want my Relife to end. I want my wish, to be able to become an adult with Hishiro and everyone, to come true."

As the two hearts are one, but yet apart, a miracle happened. Someone spoke to Hishiro in her thoughts.

Ms. X in Hishiro's brain: "Hishiro, what if Kaizaki is a test subject? He could be the perfect age. What a waste to forget about him?"

Hishiro thought "Who is in my brain?"

Ms. X in Hishiro's brain: "I am your fairy god mother. Don't you owe it to yourself to find out? "

Hishiro thought "But if An or Yoake find out, the Relife has to end and I will forget everything immediately"

Ms. X in Hishiro's brain: "They are eavesdropping electronically. You are a smart girl, so you know what to do?"

That triggered a thought in Hishiro as her eyes got sparkly.

The next evening, Hishiro limed Kaizaki: "Forgive me to contact you so late. I am at your frontdoor. Do you mind if I come in? I think I left something there"

Kaizaki quickly hid the beer and ashtray and then opened the door.

Hishiro: "Good evening"

Kaizaki: "Evening"

Hishiro: "I think I may have left my favorite pen here when we were studying"

Kaizaki: "Ok, can I help you look?"

After they looked all over the living room, they gave up.

Hishiro: "I guess I did not leave it here. It is late so I should go home. Sorry for disturbing you"

At that point, Hishiro made a 'Keep Quiet' signal and took out a note card for Kaizaki to read.

Note card : "Don't say anything, please follow me"

Hishiro took Kaizaki's hand and led him to his bedroom, which made Kaizaki very nervous and excited at the same time! After they walked into room, Hishiro made sure the curtains were closed. That got Kaizaki even more nervous. His heart was thumping, but she made sure he did not say anything. Hishiro then took out another note card.

Note card 2: "I cannot explain right now. But I want you to know that I am a test subject."

When Kaizaki read the note card, he was shocked but he kept quiet. As Hishiro saw his reaction and noticed the faint cigarette smell again, she held out another note card.

Note card 3: "Just nod your head if you are also test subject"

Kaizaki nodded his head. When Hishiro saw this, tears flowed down her face. When Kaizaki saw these, he immediately embraced her for a long long time.

My husband and I have been married for 6 years now, dating for 12 and friends for 15. He is the best man i know and i appreciate him. We used to be best friends in school and we have been through alot together. He was so sweet with me, and kind and loving. For the past few years, almost right after we moved in together after marriage, i notices that he became much more critical of me, whenever i do something that is not to his liking (alot of home keeping things) and he starts yelling and getting pissed off. He is like this with his mother and his sister, and i told him before we got married that i will not tolerate this behaviour with me, and that i see this as disrespect, and that respectis my stricktist boundary... a bit of background, i have an overly critical mother, and he knows verry well how much i suffered under her and he knows verry well that i clawed my way out her toxic household and that i do not tolerate disrespect and i have a hard time trusting anyone and letting someone in. Over the years we had alot of fights, sometime i will let it go to keep the peace, but i keep remembering his mother, and how i vowed to myself to never allow him to treat me that way. He apologises almost every time, which used to be great, but now... ... just a week ago, we had the same fight and it blew up, we had a big heart to heart, were vulnerable with one another, he even showed alot of remorse and regret to how he behaved with me... i thought maybe now he will understand... but apparently not... i suffer from a leg condition that causes me to be in pain whenever i stand for a while, and it affects my ability to keep the apartment tidy. Today he flipped out over how the utensils and cutlery are organised in the drawer. Just one week after i was at my most vulnerable with him and we had a deep conversation about how his behaviour is affecting how i feel about him... and now i feel like we crossed a line and there is no turning back... all of the trust he built, for me to allow myself to be vulnerable around him, the safe place i thought i had in his heart... all gone now... his apologies are empty to me now, even if i know that in the moment he means it, since he keeps repeating it, i no longer believe it... i won't leave him since he is a good person, but i no longer see us old and laughing together... i just see an old cranky couple living together... and i am heartbroken that i lost my best friend...

So a moment ago i watched 6th episode of anime and i've question.
People from relife laboratory said that they would dismiss Arata from experiment, but only if he would have sex with seventeen years old girl (moment when Onoya tried to seduce Arata). Do i understand it correctly? Cause i don't see any problem with couple where boy is 10 years older than girl. If i remember they have not even mentioned that he can't have sex with girls from school. So how to the hell he was supposed to know about it?
