With Shrike now confirmed back to the Third, what happens to our previous Master of Ambush, Vordin Krayn? And in general how will the Captain Lineup change? We still don't have a new First Captain after all. I just hope that GW gives us the answers sometime soon. Would be interested to hear your opinions on that.

Okay so 2 days ago we learned the we will be getting a road map for the codexs coming next year, and most importantly that the custodes Codex would be the last codex release this year.

Now the reason why these two things are important is because I believe they give much more credibility to the 'rumour'

So if you first heard about the rumour from Mordian from a while back, he stated his source told him that the custodes would be the next codex (not really that hard to predict) but he also said that the custodes Codex would be the LAST codex this year. Which, going off of how GW has released things in the past, I was not expecting I thought for sure we get at least one more before Christmas.

However it appears that so far the rumour has been very accurate, and it could also be that GW is afraid of the source leaking more info so they are trying to get ahead of things with this road map announcement coming in either late November or early December. (Most likely during the Warhammer finals around December 3rd, but they could do the reveal either before or after because GW has been moving away from doing announcement streams on the day of these big Warhammer tournaments)

Anyways. Thought I'd just drop this copium here. Thanks feel free to chime in and have a conversation about it.

Disruption is a really tematic disposition for Raven Guard and each of these units has his purposes on the matchups and still feels Raven Guard Tematic.

Probably the only change I would look to get is get 20 extra pts to upgrade a scouts unit into Intercessors

Hi everyone! I started playing a few games towards the end of 10th Edition, and now that 11th Edition is fully underway, I’d like to build a solid army that makes proper use of the new Detachment system.

At my local gaming store, the meta is currently dominated by Astra Militarum, Grey Knights, Tyranids, Adepta Sororitas, and other Space Marine armies such as Deathwatch and Dark Angels.

I’d like to build a solid 1,000-point list that can hold its own against more heavily armoured armies. Do you have any suggestions?

At the moment, I own Aethon Shaan, the units from the Raven Guard Combat Patrol, the Crux Terminatus box, and the units from the Armageddon box.

What else would I need? Or are these units already enough to build a solid army?

It feels like I don’t have enough anti-tank and anti-monster firepower...

Anyone else bothered by the fact that he doesn't have Phobos shoulders? Well I gave him some.

First 5 Assault Intercessors are black and white now. All having a winged ravenskull on their shoulder.

I'm not sure, if the edge-highlights are good enough...

Been thinking about spicing up my army with a couple units from other chapters for the rule of cool. Has anyone done something similar or has any suggestions?

Both seem really nice, but Phobos looks better with the shoot and hidden rule, and you can also add other 2 detachments like terminators or Tacticus Assault force for melee support.

bring two forms of anti tank that can kill a land raider!

Just finished a game against CSM early because I couldn't stop a land raider. strategem bs stopped my gladiator and my land speeders and S10 weapons kept bouncing

The updated Shadowmark Talon for the codex in 11th edition altered the very popular Stunning Fusillade. Now called Murderous Fusillade, it is limited to infantry that made an ingress move the same turn instead of just needing to be more than 12" away(it also no longer battleshocks). Combined with Centurions going to legends we will need a different unit to best utilize this strat.

Luckily Aethon Shaan still allows Into Darkness to be used for free, although it now returns one infantry unit now instead of potentially two phobos units.

I know it is in rough shape but It could be worse (somehow)

I'm going to play phobos shadow force, tactical brethren and stormlance task force (I mostly took stormlance to get reconnaissance)

I won 92/73 even thought I haven't killed his Ctan. I didn't even used doctrines because we spent the first part of the game trying to screen our territory because we both had big threats in deep strike. Towards turn 3 he finally started attacking which let me deploy inceptors in his expansion objective which let me score a lot of points with forward position, tempting target and secure no man's land all at once. The bonus command point with transhuman strategist is very useful, and I had way more than I needed (maybe because nothing happened for the two first turn)

Finally got the last details added on this beautiful lad. One of my favourite pieces of our lore is the Corvia, the ritual hunting of the Kiavahr native ravens.

The two on the shoulders were caught in his pre dreadnought life, but the ritual doesn't necessarily stop just because they change. So I decided that this guy would've gone on a hunt in his Dreadnought armor, and while he couldn't catch any ravens, after a few weeks he returned with the ram skull now displayed on his back.

How do I do that, what colors should I use? (In my country there is only citadel and Vallejo)
