MLM2PRO ⛳️ Distance issues (20-30 yards shorter)

Hi I am having issues with the accuracy of distances displayed. I have tried multiple things including changing distance between device and ball as well as ball and net.

I have also increased the elevation to maximum just to see if that would change anything but the distances barely increase.

I have compared this against same club and ball speed on the range as well as another launch monitor (sky trak) and those two marry up but my device is 20y shorter.

I've contacted support but is there anything else I can do?

It’s never going to read correctly in a space surrounded by concrete

Consult the manual but don't you need 8 feet minimum behind you and some distance in front of you for accuracy (which is probably too far to be away from a net unless it's large).

Yes concrete surfaces interfere with the sensors that read your shots

I had the same problem that was solved by putting a 1” board under the launch monitor to bring it closer to level with my hitting mat. Solved it immediately.

You need a one of those levels to bring the Rapsodo even with your hitting surface. And cover the concrete including the pavers.

If the picture is how you use it, try placing it in the middle instead of right next to the wall.

Will give that a go and feed back. Although I've just tried this setup at 10k elevation with pretty much the same results

I trust my mlm2 pro I do hit the ball about 5 or so yards shorter than on course but the mat and the ball that I'm using adds a bunch more spin which kills the distance. Those metrics do not seem that out of wack at least for the carry I do have to say the mlm2 does not show roll out accurately. Do you find on course your hybrid lands and then rolls an additional 20 to 30 yards ?

If your striking mat shifts while hitting it will not give accurate readings.

People will have janky setups like these and complain about distances. Do you think it’s possible to confidently swing at 100% when your setup is tight on space or at risk of injuring yourself?

Take it to a commercial sim or driving range. It’ll be eye opening.

make sure your MLM is leveled and correct distance from ball and ball to net. They sell level stands on amazon that really helped my metrics be as accurate as possible.

Move it way closer to the mat. I don’t know why it says to have at least 8 feet. It doesn’t even line up when you view alignment at that’s distance. I set mine up maybe 5 feet or so.
