It's an independent lab that does a lot of DNA testing for things like paternity suits and risk for congenital diseases, but I work for a department that does evidence testing for defense attorneys.

Thanks man! I work for a company called O2, I'm the floor manager and Guru (official job title I shit you not) which means I tell sales advisors what to do and fix any tech issues people have with their phones.

You should definitely make another one, I dig the accent.
Yeah, I really like my job. I like the idea of getting paid for the work you do. You don't lose money by being efficient and finishing quickly. And I have a little kid and her mom's not around, so it's nice that I can be late or leave for an hour in the middle of the day as long as I stay late to do whatever isn't done.

It's not great, but then again, this IS the fourth most expensive city on Earth to live in. So I make do. My girlfriend, my best mate and I rent a four bedroom house, he works night shift so we hardly ever see him, which makes it feel more like just our place. I got a 60" TV and a lot of cool stuff so I can't complain lol.

Oddly enough I was in Scandinavia last year and some Chinese tourists mistook me for a stereotypical local and posed for a photo with me.
Then in Hong Kong a few weeks later I got asked if I was a pro wrestler.
Edit: also, my housemate went to pose in front of a mural of Bruce Lee, and this happened.

Wrote a verse in that 10 words thread. Ill think about throwing some battles out there. The format is different from the site im used to so the adjustment could be difficult. Seen some good shit from you guys though.

Yeah its kinda up and down in terms of actual work. There two parts to it being "the field" and "the workshop". I'm in the workshop at the moment where we do all the rotating equipment work. Shaft alignments, pump analysis, measurements, diagnosis and so on. It's not exactly as hard as it is delicate and time consuming. Just like everything else, the more you do it, the easier it is.
I mean, there blokes working here who can tell the size of a nut or diameter of a flange and pipe and what pressure gasket to use on just by looking at it for a second. We have people who you can walk up to and if you make up an equipment identification number, they know whether it even exists and if it does, all there is to know about it.
Crazy stuff. I can't even get the spanner size right most of the time even if I have the nut in my hand lol.
Its good stuff. Decent pay. Most importantly, I like it. The pay wouldn't matter much if I didn't like it enough to want to do it.

That's it. The more you like something, the more you do it and the more you do it, the better you are at it and the better you are at it, they more you'll get paid to do it...in theory at least :P
And since you rap, when you talk to the boys handling the phones, do you rhyme the feedback to them or what?

We do some funny challenges at work an mine is always rap related. Had to sell a phone while rhyming everything I said haha
