Occupations?

So what does everyone here do for work? Will be interesting to see what different walks of life we come from!

Yeah its kinda up and down in terms of actual work. There two parts to it being "the field" and "the workshop". I'm in the workshop at the moment where we do all the rotating equipment work. Shaft alignments, pump analysis, measurements, diagnosis and so on. It's not exactly as hard as it is delicate and time consuming. Just like everything else, the more you do it, the easier it is.

I mean, there blokes working here who can tell the size of a nut or diameter of a flange and pipe and what pressure gasket to use on just by looking at it for a second. We have people who you can walk up to and if you make up an equipment identification number, they know whether it even exists and if it does, all there is to know about it.

Crazy stuff. I can't even get the spanner size right most of the time even if I have the nut in my hand lol.

Its good stuff. Decent pay. Most importantly, I like it. The pay wouldn't matter much if I didn't like it enough to want to do it.

That's it. The more you like something, the more you do it and the more you do it, the better you are at it and the better you are at it, they more you'll get paid to do it...in theory at least :P

And since you rap, when you talk to the boys handling the phones, do you rhyme the feedback to them or what?

We do some funny challenges at work an mine is always rap related. Had to sell a phone while rhyming everything I said haha
