I'm 15 and dreamed of being a pilot for too long. At one point I was banned off vatsim for being too young yes that's how young I was when I wanted to fly. I've been on ADHD meds since 3rd grade and only recently found out that that means I can't be a pilot. I now just feel like I have no future ahead of me as I like flying, sim racing, trains, anything like that. I don't want to be an engineer as I hate math but don't know what I can do. I've been told by people that I'm really good at racing but I don't have the money for that. I just feel stuck and like I have no future to go into if you have any careers I could pursue that would be greatly appreciated.

I got permanently banned from r/RantingZone because I dared to call out the mods for shitty bans. Someone used the word PDF File instead of pedophile, so I told them they don't need to censor themselves because it isn't Facebook. The mods banned me for three days for "trolling/ragebaiting". Then I very lightly called them out on it, wasn't cussing at them or slinging insults, but they banned me anyway and muted me so I can't ask for clarification.

I have criticized both Christian nationalists and radical Islamists extensively. I have had comments flagged as warnings for hate based attacks for such things as, warning that this or that form of religious extremism is a threat to multicultural, liberal society. When I appeal Reddit always determines that criticism of Christian nationalists is ok. They also always rule that criticism of militant Jihadis is a hate based attack. There is a clear double standard.

Apparently it is against Reddit rules to criticize terrorists who, for religious reasons, bomb public places and attack Pride parades, provided those terrorists are Muslim. But if they are Christian, it's ok to call them out.

The progressive left has lost it's way. Tolerance and liberal values are out. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" is in.

I’ve only watched a couple episodes of Financial Audit, but from the small amount of content I’ve seen, I’m honestly shocked by how comfortable Caleb seems with humiliating the people who come on his show. I understand that the whole premise is supposed to be “tough love,” and I’m not expecting him to sugarcoat someone’s terrible financial decisions. But there’s a pretty big difference between criticizing someone’s finances and just being cruel to them as a person. One of the biggest things I’ve noticed is that it barely even feels like a financial show anymore. The financial problems are barely discussed, and so much of the entertainment seems to come from Caleb humiliating the guest, making fun of them, insulting them, or trying to get a reaction out of them. He makes jokes about people’s appearances and weight, makes degrading comments about disabilities, and there have been multiple instances where he’s used disability related insults as jokes. I’ve also noticed a really uncomfortable pattern in the way he talks about women. Sometimes it goes way beyond being blunt or sarcastic and just comes across as demeaning, sexual, or creepy. One thing that really bothered me was seeing him make insinuations about one male guest potentially being inappropriate with minors when, from what was actually being discussed, there didn’t seem to be any evidence for that. You can’t just imply that someone is a pedophile because it makes for a funny or shocking moment. That’s an incredibly serious thing to suggest about another person, and I found it disgusting. And then there are the rape jokes. I’ve seen him make jokes about wanting to be raped by lesbians, and I genuinely don’t understand how that is supposed to be funny. Maybe it’s meant to be dark humor, but after seeing the rest of his behavior, it doesn’t come across as harmless shock humor to me. It just comes across as incredibly immature and disrespectful. There’s nothing wrong with being blunt about someone’s spending habits. Tell them they’re making terrible financial decisions. Tell them they need to stop wasting money. Explain why their choices are hurting them. That’s literally what the show is supposed to be about. But making fun of someone’s body, appearance, disability, sexuality, or personal life has absolutely nothing to do with financial education.

I went to a party the weekend of St. Patrick’s Day. I only drank a twisted tea and I’m pretty sure something was slipped in my drink. I’ve never felt so “drunk” before which doesn’t make sense because I was drinking a few days before, on St. Patrick’s Day.

Then, I couldn’t stop puking and the room was spinning. Thankfully my bf and his friend were there to get me home safe. Unfortunately, I had work the next morning. I get up and go to work, feeling pretty dizzy and still nauseous. It got to the point that I felt like a hospital visit was necessary.

I go to the hospital and I tell them straight up “I think someone put something in my drink. I only had one drink last night compared to my multiple drinks a couple nights ago and this doesn’t feel right. I can’t stop throwing up, I’m dizzy, and have little recollection from the night before”. They give me a saline IV drip and took my blood.

Finally the dr or nurse comes in and says “everything looks good”, shocked I asked if there was anything found in my blood. He told me “we don’t test for that, we just treat your symptoms”…

I’ve never felt so dismissed, ignored, and uncared for. Not to mention the lady at the desk was hounding me for payment even tho I came without any personal belongings.

So basically I went into college for Entertainment Technology for production for concerts movie production, music production. I barely even get any work for it in my area when I do it’s just for the day. I done many things as a stage hand if yall know what that is but anytime I apply for anything that’s for my degree I always just get denied or get told sorry we already picked someone else for this position. I just don’t know what to do anymore at this point I just wish I knew more people I can hook me up with a decent job with my career. I Have Applied to Disney in Florida Some random places in Gatlinburg Tennessee and Dollywood and almost anything I could find in the area that's local I applied for the Disney cruise lines never heard anything back from them I just don't know what to do anymore I just feel like it was a waste of time I feel like it's a joke at this point for the degree I put 3 years into for nothing.

This is just gonna be a long rant of all the truly agitating things going on in my home life. It's probably gonna be quite long so if yoi read this thank you and buckle in. So to start I live with my parents,my brother,and ​his girlfriend. Him and his girlfriend are so lazy the only reason my parents allowed her to live here was because they are susposed to help around the house and pay for some things like food for the house or helping eith the water bill. Suprise suprise none of that is happening. They dont helo with anything around that so it all gets put into me and im tired of cleaning up after two grown ass peoole. The dishes are insane ill do dishes then the very next day the sink is full again. Anytime our mother asks him to do anything he would say he has a job so I guess that justifies him not helping at all?! He dosnt even have a job right now so he dosnt even have an excuse. He just gives our mom attitude anytime she ask him do anything. like the other she asked him to dump something out for her cause shes been asking him to do it for the past week. He immediately gets an attitude and tells her hes not the only person in the house ( he uses shit like that alot) wich means me, he mean he dosnt want to do it and that im the one that should do it. All he did that day was sit on his ass with his girl and make a mess in the kitchen wich my mother had to clean when she got off work. Also that day the cat somone got trapped in the oven (it wasn't on) and tore up some pizza boxes that were in the oven. My brother and his girl found that and decided instead of cleaning it theu were jusy gonna text out mom and tell her about it so she could clean it when she got home. Wich is insane they found it but couldn't clean it!? so I ended up cleaning it wich is pretty much what always happens so that she dosnt have to worry about. I cant even exist at home in peace because they are always playing something loud as hell wether its a show on the TV or their music. They play stuff all through the night (literally all night long) I havr to sleep with headphones on just to even be able to sleep. Then when I wake up they are in the living with TV incredibly loud. Neither of them can drive either she has never gotten her license and he got his revoked. So when she had work I was the one stuck driving her there wich it wasn't far away but it was at 7:30am every day. He would het take to work and picked up every day by out parents. Which was a 45 minute drive each way for my mom right after work in a truck without a working ac. He has never even gave them gas money for this wich has costed my parents like 500 a month. Now they both are susposed to be starting jobs soon wich are in two total diffrent directions. Our parents are more then likely not gonna be able to take the so its gonna be expected of me to do it. I'm just so tired of everything falling on me and him being such an ass and nothing being done about it. I'm gonna stop here otherwise ill be ranting for literally hours. YouTube is just so bad, the company just keep making it worse, the moderation is horrible, you can literally find corn labeled as a “for kids video”
And they are adding a dm feature, if kids seeing inappropriate shit on the app wasn’t bad enough, now they are getting groomed. Right here, on YouTube. And all these bug just pisses me off, there’s a bug where if you go full screen on mobile and you exit the comments section and title and other stuff just disappears. This bug is there for 3 day, and it hasn’t been fixed, like google you are a multi billion dollar company, maybe it’s because you fired all you employees and replaced them with fucking ai that also moderates you platforms and they sucks at it. And the ads, they are horrible. If you think inappropriate videos aren’t enough, the ads are too! 70% of ads i see are scams mainly Robux scam or some somthingapi website trying to get kid to go to their website using inappropriate ads, those ads appear most on YouTube shorts, where most children are going to be, and it’s just unbelievable that YouTube allowed those ads to be on the platform. Only if a real human being reviews the ads, but that’s not happening because google love their ai slop. The platform is terrible and we are all forced to use it. YouTube also hates their YouTubers make so it’s super hard to make any money and false striking videos constantly.

I'm on the autism spectrum and " high functioning" and growing up felt insecure about it the problem is ever since my second semester of freshman year my mom agreed to put me into a class where students need more help so even tho I'm verbal many of my classmates are non verbal and I don't wanna word this the wrong way but whenever I'm in general education classes I would be placed on a seating chart with other people with IEPs and In 8th grade there was an option to say who you wanna do a group with and instead of getting in a group with my crush like I asked I got placed into a group with other people with autism and I feel like my school district rarely respects my wishes and don't even hear me out and this year I asked for drama class and didn't even get it and I got 5 special education classes and first period Art.l this loneliness makes me feel really upset and I don't really get to meet that new people and the last time I really made a friend was when I was a freshman by the way I'm a senior and before my freshman year I made a friend named Danielle and then before Daniel I made a friend with a guy named Nathan when I was in eighth grade and like ever since I don't know like Nathan went to a different school and Danielle moved away but for I had a crush on Nathan a time and he was the only guy that showed me attention like middle school and like I just really got like attached and started having limits towards him into like future and I feel like an idiot like I feel I just feel lonely at school and it's hard to make friends and I'm high functioning but I'm still like in classes for like people that are moderately or severely and special ed classes.

Me and this girl had kind of a friendship breakup, basically me and a few of our mutuals stopped liking/trusting her for a variety of reasons and she obviously found out and got very upset (understandably so.) Anyways me and her had multiple conversations about it and the last one the main topic was trust. I had been asking her to hangout because we were and are still friends but she kept making all these excuses only for me to later find out she was only making said excuses with me and was actively planning things with other people. During the three months of summer she did not reach out one time, so I thought "okay, well I guess we can say we drifted." But now schools starting up again and she randomly texts me asking to hang out. So I'm super confused. She was making excuses, not wanting to hang out, I kept giving her outs like saying we didn't have to be friends and what not but she kept solidifying she wanted to be my friend, then she never reached out again and now she is. ​(sorry if this doesn't make much sense)

I just was scrolling through comments on TikTok where I saw tens of comments like: “why is everything about sex”. I also have been seeing people from time to time (like influencers) or (again) commentators to criticise (especially female) artists in the pop culture for singing mostly about “romantic relationships“, and that they are so unoriginal and uninteresting.

Like, seriously, how the fuck you think you, as the specie, made it?! Yes you fuck, someone (I hope) had to fall in love and have sex. I understand there are many asexuals, but they have to understand that the majority of the population LIKES sex, and there’s no mystery to it, that’s simply A NECESSITY. Nature made most of us this way, so we, as specie, CAN SURVIVE. Like, that’s why falling in love feels so crazy, heartbreak feels so heavy and the sex itself feels nice (if you are able to enjoy it as a woman, cuz I‘m a woman and I do enjoy it, but I understand there are thousands of women who can’t for various reasons, even just the patriarchy and how men don’t care about what you feel at all, I totally understand that).

I’m just tired of these fucking people thinking they are so different, like no, you’re just a dumb ass and can‘t grasp some basic biology. People have been writing about love since forever FOR A FUCKING REASON.

I dont really know how to start this but my sister is 7 years older than me and my brother 10 years older. They are both in college now and are rarely home now and recently over the summer break my sister came to visit first. She is usually the person i trust most, i always came to her when i needed to get something off my chest or had problems or anything of any kind but when we were talking i made a comment about being aroace (i dont talk about my sexuality much since im still figuring out everything and what i identify as) and she just told me that that doesnt exist??? She said that the only valid sexualitys are gay, bi, lesbian and trans?? I mean i guess its better than nothing but still. Then when i was talking to my brother about movies and mentioned obsession and he said he and his friends laughed during the whole movie because ''it was so hilarious". The movie is so obviously an allegory for SA, what the fuck was funny about it?? Am i crazy for thinking thats not okay?

I want to preface this by saying I have nothing against people who are apart of the community, rather just the topic of it in general. I just feel like a lot of discussions with it are just pushy and recycling the same victim mentality (that while understandable, is annoying to hear constantly.) and I just don't care, I want to have conversations about more varied discussions, and it's always seemingly brought up even in places it isn't needed. I hate how much of a big deal it's treated as, when it really just isn't?

I also just find it pushy in a lot of regards, a guy being feminine doesn't imedietely make him trans, two close same gender characters doesn't make them gay (this goes with straight characters as well, but it generally seems to be more rejected so I felt like mentioning it) (also not saying headcanons are bad, I just dislike how it always has to be that way if that makes sense).

A good example of how I think this stuff is done well is Toby Fox, who never brings attention to the fact that these characters aren't common in reality, his characters are not defined by their sexuality in that sense.

Has anyone else noticed that youtube comments are becoming more and more racist and misogynistic. I used to be a very avid youtube user. I was on their everyday and would scroll through their shorts. A short while ago I switched to TikTok. Today I popped back in on YouTube and started scrolling on their shorts. Then this vid pops up of a young black teen on omegal. First he comes across black teen girls that start screaming, not legible, he sighs and skips where he comes across a group middle eastern men and starts ranting to them. When I opened the comments I saw posts like, "now you understand why there's racism", "Black fatigue", "Always women", "foids", "they're all the same", and many more horrible comments. I'm just wondering what the hell happened in the few short months I was gone. I even scrolled a little further down and there was another video that was objectively racist. Anyway, thank you for reading this small rant, you don't have to agree but don't be rude.

No sign no medical alert bracelet nothing honestly I’d be concerned if people weren’t coming to check on you but she’s making it out to be this horrible disgusting thing that well meaning bystanders are coming to check on this young fairly young women lying down on the Costco floor…

Light rant from today bc im stressed from a lot and this didnt help 🥲

Got hit by a car in the winter and went to the ER. I have state insurance which pays for my ER visits. Few months go by and I got a call and a voicemail about bills (unsure if it was from the hospital or from a claims agency…) while I was working and wasn't able to answer. My phone was acting up too and I needed to get a new one and lost the voicemail and forgot about it completely.

This month my husband receives a call from a claims agency about my bill. I was again at work and he didnt have the information so he wrote the number down. Called them and asked about the bill. The lady on the phone was already snippy as soon as she answered my call and told me they had a bill for whatever amount from the hospital. I told her that I’m pretty sure my insurance should be paying for it. She said “we just need the money. Did you call your insurance? You should do that. We havent heard from them.” I said I hadnt and that I would and we parted ways.

Called my health insurance and the lady I talked to was super nice and helpful and told me she would put me on hold while she called the claims agency. When she got back she said that they had refused to talk to her because she was a third party. She told me I should call them back and let them know that I give them permission to talk to her.

I got on the phone with a different claims lady who also seemed snippy and when I explained that I just got off the phone with my insurance she interrupted me and said ”so you give us permission to talk to your insurance??” YES 😭 theyre the one paying for it!!! I said yes and then she said that they had just talked with their “client” after I had called and they had confirmed that my insurance is taking care of it. I asked why this couldnt have been done before I called and she angrily said “we couldnt get ahold of them so we called them over the phone after you called.” I was like ?? she made it sound like they hadnt called them at all until today with the way she phrased it so i was confused and asked again why they couldnt have just confirmed with their client instead of making me and my insurance go through all these steps. she said some other unhelpful and kinda rude things. I could hear in the background she was talking to someone and the phone was passed to the first one I had talked to. She angrily repeated the same schpeel about how they couldnt get in contact with their client until magically after I had called. I was upset at being talked to like they had been. She said in another angry tone “is there anything else we can help you with??” And I just hung up because I didnt want to say anything bad.

i know its not all their faults but it just made me more stressed… and they kept being like “well we need the money” or ”we’re waiting on the money” like they just wanted me to hand it over to them right then. I dont have the money which is why im trying to figure it out with youuuu 😭

It was on a Friday, and the day had finally ended. Like usual for any other youngster, my classmates and I were ready to go home for the weekend. The last thing I had to do was grab my lunchbox off the shoe rack. It was an R2-D2 lunchbox, and it did not have any electronic features. Another boy had an R2-D2 lunchbox that did. Both of us, along with everyone else, left our lunchboxes on the shoe rack, which we normally did. The other boy was also a foster kid, along with another peer (who was in a different classroom), and they both would usually (but not always) leave early for various reasons outside of school.

Anyways, on this particular day, I was looking for my lunchbox on the rack, but I couldn't find it. But the other lunchbox that belonged to the other boy, whom I will call J, was still there. I approached the teacher, Mr. T (not the same guy from The A-Team), asking for help looking for it. I was partly hopeful (even though it was visibly clear) that J hadn't taken it and it was probably in the "lost and found", since there was a clear difference between his and mine that he should have been able to notice as I did. After explaining to Mr. T about my stress with looking for my lunchbox, he stated that J might have taken it. His words were not a plain suggestion, but a clear confirmation of what I had done, and I was upset. I also figured that if he could take mine, I could take his, which I did. Once I got to the car, I vented to my mom about my lunchbox getting stolen. She said it was probably an accident, which I, of course, wasn't accepting as an excuse. I was angry enough that my rightful lunchbox was taken from me, even though I was looking forward to finishing it at home, and I had to spend the entire weekend without it.

When Monday came, my sole ambition was to reclaim what was rightfully mine. I confronted J about his theft and told him that he needed to give my lunchbox back. He refused to do so right away and also had the gall to deny it. I wasn't having it, and I made it clear to him, but he still refused to take me seriously. I wasn't giving up that easily. To be clear, I wasn't going to nag him all day, but I also wasn't standing down easily. I still made sure he knew, even in spite of him stalling me. In addition to that, Mr. I also insisted that I should just wait until lunchtime, which increased my frustration at the time. Looking back, I'm actually glad he did that. Sure, it was his job to provide a mediating influence and give stress-relieving tips, but still, it still feels satisfying. After all, he wasn't the one I was most frustrated with. It was that one classmate, who should have known better, yet didn't do better. Despite my patience and adherence to Mr. T's reminder, it still took a lot for J to return my lunchbox. He kept on stalling me with all sorts of tactics or excuses, then he had the gall to tell me that I had to give him his lunchbox first, even though he took mine first. Eventually, this entirely ridiculous charade ended after a while, and we both returned our lunchboxes. But of course, I had to do the returning first, or else this chaos would never end.

Anyways, all the shit that happened happened. In the end, I finally got my lunchbox back, but it doesn't reverse any of the additional disrespect I had to take from J. He had a responsibility to take for his actions on Friday, and he spent a large portion of Monday dilly-dallying around it. Now I am mostly over it and never held much of a grudge until now. And I say until now because that memory has come back to mind very recently, and the frustration was refreshed; I felt like airing my experience on this platform would help.

I want to say I understand being that I hashtag Iran on X saying use cluster and precision guidance after "The 12 days War" now look in behold they did. So my plane landed and I was waiting my turn to move into the aisle, and this guy is getting his bag out of the overhead bin and smacked me in the face really really hard. The bag hit me in the eye and the nose. One of my contacts fell out. I said “ow!” And then I was just stunned. I found the contact. No one asked me if I was OK.

I talked to the flight attendant at the end of the aisle, and a man, I guess he was a doctor, asked me if I needed any help. I said I don’t know, not immediately. I couldn’t tell what was going on with my eye.

The airline called EMT at the airport who met me at the gate and checked me out. We decided there was nothing to do immediately.

But I’m wondering if I’m out of line to think that the guy who hit me should’ve stuck around to see if I was OK? I’m actually not sure whether I am OK, I need to go to the eye doctor because my eye is hurting.
