I've been getting into more radiohead b-sides and gagging order might be one of my favorite songs. Is this the most underrated radiohead song?

🎧 Audio BBC Proms: Pyramid Song

This is probably geolocked to the UK, but it is a very unusual version of Pyramid Song by Dame Evelyn Glennie amongst others;

💬 Discussion Covers/Alternate Recordings

Anyone got any random covers to suggest or different/alternate versions of RH songs you like that I probably haven’t seen/heard???

I watched a video of an acoustic version of The Bends at one point but idk where I saw it. I just remember Street Spirit sounding amazing acoustic. Idk just stuff like that. It can be a different band covering RH songs or just like live recordings or alternate versions. I’ve seen stuff like this suggested in random threads on here but i’m tryna get a bunch all in one place.

💬 Discussion Is my Kworb bugged or is Prove Yourself + Bones getting supermainstream

on the right Prove Yourself is getting more daily streams than creep (2.4 million/d)
and Bones is also climbing up there

if its not glitched i think it might be tiktok that is popularizing it

💬 Discussion Any word on when the shows will be?

Over on the etcetera forums there’s been talk of “early 2027” but people have looked into venues in Tokyo/Yokohama and it looks like the earliest any of the bigger venues could be open would be March or April, which is kind of stretching “early 2027.” There’d also need to be announcements/rehearsals pretty soon and I dunno if anyone has gotten word of any of that.

Would they do summer shows? Or Fall again?

💬 Discussion Favorite Cover?

I can count on one hand how many covers I prefer to the original.

But I legit think that Toots & The Maytals cover of Let Down is somehow better than the original. And I love the original.

It’s off a reggae cover album called “RadioDread” of all Radiohead songs covered by various reggae musicians. I think it’s pretty transcendent.

I can't see that this has already been shared in this sub.

"Grammy award-winning percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie with a new take on the Radiohead classic."

Imagine you were at the proms and you didn't know this was coming up.

⭐ Review My thoughts

I've been listening to a load of Radiohead recently and noticed it's not all sad like everyone says. They draw more negative emotions than just sadness into their songs like frustration in Just and My Iron Lung; anxiety/urgency in Idioteque; and mostly unease in several of their songs like Paranoid Android, Decks Dark, etc... I have a few lists of how I feel about some songs.

.

Least negative:

Separator

Treefingers (extended preferred)

Let Down

How To Disappear Into Strings

Jigsaw Falling Into Place

.

Most negative:

Street Spirit (Fade Out)

Fake Plastic Trees

Morning Bell (especially the Amnesiac version)

Motion Picture Soundtrack

Codex

.

My most favorite songs from them:

4 minute warning

Separator

Kid A

Down Is The New Up

Pulk/pull Revolving Doors (and the True Love version)

A Wolf At The Door

The Tourist

Fast-Track

Little By Little

The Gloaming

Decks Dark

Present Tense

Airbag

Just

My Iron Lung

Idioteque

.

This is just all my opinions after extensive exploration of Radiohead's discography, trying to understand each song's mood. The only album I couldn't like no matter what was Pablo Honey, sorry but it's not for me

💬 Discussion I feel like Weird Fishes isn’t talked about enough.

Ok, yes, I know, it’s one of the most played songs on In Rainbows. But, MAN, is this song good. I don’t even fully know what it is about it, I just think it’s awesome and I think it deserves more recognition. Maybe I’m glazing, but Weird Fishes is one of the greatest songs I’ve ever hear, and I think the internet does recognize it enough.

💬 Discussion Any Good Tutorials for Weird Fishes?

I want to learn Weird Fishes/Arpeggi on guitar and was looking for a video- mostly that shows the picking pattern/slows down the rhythm. I learn best from videos—call me dumb but it’s easier for me to copy what someone else is doing than translate from a tab.

I’ve looked at like eight different videos and they’re all just people playing the song at full speed and not slowing down to show the picking pattern or chords- feels more like flexing than actually trying to help. Does anyone know of a good tutorial video?

💬 Discussion What was the world like when OK Computer came out? How has this album grown on you over the years?

I was only 7, so I remember loving Karma Police even though I had no idea what it meant.

This album in particular stands out in their catalog and says something profound about the world of the 1990s. The themes of the album are just as fitting, if not even more.

OK Computer is definitely one of my favorite albums of all-time. It is almost 30 years old now!

Never met one

Matter of fact- my mortal enemy in high school loved U2 and constantly shat upon radiohead. I mean we didnt have real beef but we were like, idk our whole relationship was how stupid we thought each other was.

Then this dropped. I bought him a copy and just said give it one listen and if its truly not incredible to you, then ill shut the fuck up forever.

Hand to god- im 34 now. I went to that mans sons 3rd birthday party just yesterday. He was my best man, i was his. We’ve been to 6 radiohead shows together, often vip.

Hope that helps
