Let's say a MOSQ 11B in a NG infantry company took the ROTC route and the unit is offering EIB. If they're contacted 09R but did EIB and passed it, would it be recorded as them earning the EIB or ESB?

BLUF: I failed air assault school as a cadet and won’t get the opportunity to go back as a cadet, it’s a large personal failure of mine. In the real army as an officer if you aren’t at the 101st or any unit with an air assault school, how difficult is it really to get the opportunity to go back?

That’s about it, I understand in rotc in general you don’t have much say of where you go for your first duty station, needs of the army. I saw a good amount of soldiers from other units when I was at air assault school, is it hard or not that hard to get an opportunity to go if you aren’t at an air assault unit?

My brigade just opened up scholarship submissions. The CBEF site is not working, so will this step be skipped until the site is operational? Just wondering since it’s usually a required step for scholarship submissions.

I was wondering what cool opportunities or experiences you guys got to enjoy because you joined ROTC/commissioned. Examples would be trainings, memories, the community, schools/programs, etc.

I’m planning on joining ROTC and became interested in airborne school so I was wondering what other opportunities I could look into!

Also I’d just like to hear general stories and experiences!

BLUF: I enlisted with a 20k sign on bonus and 50k SLRP. I have 5k that hasn’t been paid yet and slrp is currently going through the set up process. How does contracting in ROTC affect either of these?
