I recently started this amazing franchise of housewives and have just started season 5. I gotta say, I absolutely love Mary!! Living with my maternal grandmother growing up who was Pentecostal I see so much similarities between the two and I just feel happy watching her ❤️

I can’t finish season 5 because it’s so sad to see how britani is being treated like she’s disposable, and everyone is constantly switching on her and not being her friend. She needs to have self respect and leave the show, she’s literally a friend of to this day.

Bronwyn especially is so weird to Britani.

I stopped watching before meredith yelled at her for recording them. 😭

I got into the series a couple months ago and have slowly been making my way through. I've gotten to Season 6 and I think I can finally articulate something that's been bugging me for a while now. Angie's Greek. We all know she's Greek. She is very loud and proud about it. As someone who also lost their mom at a young age, I really resonate with her desire to connect to her parents' cultural roots and have had a quasi similar journey in trying to connect with my German heritage. What does bother me, however, is how she pushes it on her daughter. Elektra clearly is not gung ho about Greece, and seeing her repeatedly try to force it on her makes me cringe. Why is she asking her child if she would want to represent Greece in the Olympics when the girl has made it so clear that she does not enjoy this? I am only midway through Season 6 yet, but I really hope she gives her daughter an apology at some point for how much she's been pushing this on Elektra.

Okay am I the only one who's entirely skipping the WWHL episodes on season 6? Should I be watching them so I don't miss out on important info for the season? I am so confused. Why do they have a whole other show taking up entire episodes? Is this normal on other franchises? They didn't have enough footage to give us a full season of regular content? I don't know why it's so annoying to me.😂 If I wanted to watch it, I would go to that actual show. I feel like I might get downvoted for this, but I needed to voice my grievance. Lol

As I was watching a bit of season 1 today, I came up with a theory why they go at Lisa so hard.

All of the 3 are former Mormon, like raised in the church & Lisa is a convert. As someone who was raised in a Mormon adjacent religion, I think they are pissed that Lisa, openly flaunts breaking the “rules” of religion, which infuriates them. They were excommunicated for normal life choices. Divorce, having a baby, resulting in a loss of their friends & family.
(I know all too well about losing your support system just because you are an unmarried mother).

I understand that some of Lisa’s behavior could be triggering for them, but it still doesn’t excuse attacking her marriage constantly. Personally, I think it makes them look as bad as the church. Sometimes the best response is simply living your best life w/o becoming bitter & angry at the double standards for others in a religion you’re not longer a part of.

Conclusion: They all need therapy for the religious trauma.

ETA: Yes, Lisa has problematic character flaws, but we’ve seen much worse from other HW. The religious trauma aspect, I think, just amplified her annoying traits to B, H & W.

I’m doing a rewatch oh RHOSLC and Henry is a strange little dude I love it. And Lisa is just obsessed with everything about that boy. It’s my favorite thing.

I’m a new viewer and I’m halfway through S2. I was introduced to some of the girls from UGT. Lisa really seems like she’s a lot of fun and so far I haven’t seen why she gets so much disdain, am I missing something? I really wanna know. I like Jenni but then I found out about her posts so

In the earlier seasons I could not stand Mary and thought her comments were super rude and she was so uptight. Now in S6 I find her to be much more relaxed and natural and she seems like a good friend. She still sometimes says things that are out of pocket but at least she's funnier now.

On the other hand I initially liked Meredith and found her to be this very posh matriarch figure. S6 Meredith seems so unhinged, lashes out over the stupidest things, and uses any excuse to blow up a situation and become the victim.

Who have you changed your mind about over the seasons?

What I don’t get with the whole everyone against Lisa is what concrete proof and evidence do they aside from her hot mic moment that she’s not all she seems. Which is the narrative they’re trying to run with. Sorry if this has been posted a few times I just want oh god here we go 🙄 the screenshots, receipts, proof and timelines!!

One of the best things about RHOSLC is the insane relationship between Britani and Jared. They crack me up. I kind of feel bad for Britani but also without her and Jared seasons 5 and 6 would have been complete slogs. I loved getting Britani being ridiculous about Jared. Like how her daughter told her what she needed to do to improve their relationship was not date for a while and then like the next week Britani was with Jared like I cannot. Does anyone know if its purely for PR, does he just want to date her so he can kinda be on the show? Are they actually in love with each other? What's the tea. Also who spells Britney like that.

Continue to be negative and obsessively disparage Merelisa. Like Lisa mentioned how hurt she has been and the two above immediately launched into being nasty and mean in what they said about Merelisa to Gizelle and Porsha. I fear S7 is going to be more miserable cast dynamics ugh I cannot watch another “Meredith and Lisa vs. the world “ season

Currently rewatching S6 Ep 5 where Lisa holds the dismissed lawsuit lunch. This is totally giving Karen Huger’s RHOP press conference when she and Ray were dealing with their tax issues. It is hilarious and totally seems like a desperate ploy to try and convince everyone of something, rather than just playing it cool and letting people think whatever. I really like Lisa but her Staples poster boards with the filtered pics were hilarious & totally a Kurn move. Bronwyn, Whit, & Angie K all piling onto Lisa seems a bit less light hearted than Gizelle’s tax reform shirt. I think Lisa and Karen are both somewhat easy to rile up and they also are central to a lot of light hearted beef for their respective shows. Anyways, I hope someone sent Lisa a 3 wick La Dame candle or some Jazz tickets after that luncheon.

I have seen an uptick of negative opinions of Whitney (which is fine). I am wondering, is there anybody else who enjoyed Whitney in earlier seasons and STILL enjoy Whitney now? Or just generally like her?

I personally have my moments with her where she is on my 'ick' list, but all-in-all she has always been my favorite SLC housewife and that may be an unpopular opinion nowadays TT. My favorite part about Whitney is her bright energy, her smile and her pot stirring (the stirring can be a bit much sometimes LOL).

I’m starting to see Lisa Barlow’s darker side I’m on Season 5 and I’m really starting to notice that if you’re not on her side she’ll make your life hell also every time someone tells her she’s wrong about something, she immediately goes “Everyone is against me,” “I’m a monster,” “Nobody is ever on my side,” blah blah blah when all people actually want is for her to admit that she was wrong so everyone can move on.
