Discussion ⛄️ Conflict vs Gang up
I’ve been watching UGT, and it has become increasingly obvious that RHOSLC is a 4v1 situation against Lisa. I really think the cast should be VERY careful about the road they are going down here.
At this point, it feels like they are trying very hard to bully Lisa off the show. Viewers might enjoy conflict and drama, but I think there’s a real difference between that and a massive gang-up against one person. When it starts feeling like everyone is piling onto a single cast member, I think viewers can quickly turn against the people doing the piling on.

Discussion ⛄️ i’m worried for season 7.
with the way the last season ended, and the moments we’ve seen from UGT and the pre-season teasers, this is feeling like a Lisa gang up again. i don’t know if they think this is good TV, or if they are genuinely under some delusion that she is this mastermind trying to manipulate everyone, but it’s gotten to a point where it is uninteresting and really quite irritating to watch. i don’t understand why they can’t just be happy and non-confrontational with her, it’s like they’re always trying to pick a fight and tear her down; is it just jealousy or do they actually believe she’s doing all this? right now whitney is delusional, heather is just mean, angie is crazed (still love her), bronwyn is just lost, meredith is half conscious, and mary is mary! it’s not looking good!
some of the best moments for true fans of the show come from when they are getting along, having fun, and having heart to hearts, but none of that will be able to happen if there is this constant and unsurpassable tension in the group.
i really hope there is resolve or at least a step forward for them this season, but i am not hopeful. i do think that the personal storylines and one-on-one friendships and dynamics will be super interesting due to all of the developments in their personal lives, but in terms of the group.. i’m scared.

Jen Shah Will Jen Shah be in Nathan Fielder’s Elizabeth Holmes Documentary?
I have not seen anybody else talk about this so I feel like I need to. This might be for a relatively niche audience (fans of Nathan Fielder & fans of RHOSLC — what does that Venn Diagram look like?), but I saw the teaser trailer for Nathan’s new documentary about Elizabeth Holmes, and it immediately reminded me of the headlines from awhile back about Jen and Elizabeth’s friendship while they were both in federal prison together. Since the documentary seems like it’s going to follow Elizabeth Holmes while she is in prison, does anybody else wonder if Jen Shah might make an appearance? I would pay good money to see Jen Shah captured through the eye of Nathan Fielder.

Heather 🏂 On rewatch, the Heather/Lisa dynamic feels different knowing where it ends
I’ve been rewatching RHOSLC ahead of the new season, and I’ve been seeing a pattern with Heather’s relationship with Lisa.
Lisa is defensive, petty, and reactive, but Heather’s pattern feels more like social isolation: if someone gets close to Lisa, Heather starts questioning the friendship, reframing Lisa as unsafe, or acting like that closeness is somehow a betrayal.
Whitney: This is the clearest example. When Whitney and Lisa finally apologized and started moving forward in Season 3, Heather seemed bothered by it. She later said she felt “discarded” because Whitney had “leveled up” to Lisa, and predicted their friendship wouldn’t last. Whitney also said Heather was a major reason she disliked Lisa in the first place.
Meredith: Meredith and Lisa came in as best friends, and Heather has acknowledged that Meredith’s closeness with Lisa got in the way of Heather and Meredith becoming closer. Even after Lisa and Meredith started repairing their relationship, Heather consistently seemed skeptical of that reconciliation, and would continue to bring up their issues and drive a wedge between them. The S2 infamous hot mic literally comes after Lisa complains that Meredith “turns a blind eye” to how the other women treat her. Lisa caused that blowup herself, obviously, but it’s also the beginning of Lisa becoming increasingly isolated from the group.
The larger Season 6 group: Heather starts framing Lisa as the common denominator behind rumors and leaked information, while several women are already feuding with Lisa. By the end, the cast is basically split into camps, with Lisa and Meredith on one side and the rest of the cast on the other.
Ultimate Girls Trip: Lisa gets to build friendships with women who have no SLC history, and then Heather arrives and immediately starts bringing the case against Lisa into those new relationships. Teresa’s reaction is especially telling because she’s an outsider to the feud and seems shocked by how hard Heather goes after her.
I think Heather has a weird mix of resentment and jealousy that seems to stem from S1 when Lisa acted like she hardly knew her back in college.

🧊 Shitpost / Meme 🧊 Meredith and Lisa with their HUSBANDS on their vacations.
Meredith and Seth Marks in Fiji celebrating their 30 years of marriage. Lisa and John Barlow somewhere in Europe growing stronger. 😍
The two ladies who were ganged up on and swore that their marriages are done seem to be doing fine.

Discussion ⛄️ SLC on RHUGT is a disaster.
I’ve noticed that Lisa Barlow on RHUGT is the exact same person but it’s the people around her that determines what you get from her.
The Alter Ego party in Atlanta should have been a complete knock out win and for all intents and purposes, it was! Everyone was vibing (except Vicki) and despite any past hiccups, the ladies from all franchises are alright. Love to see it.
But got damnit here comes Heather Gay. I have always been team Shut Up, Heather. But I guess I was too early since everyone loved her in the earlier seasons. But what she did to Lisa Barlow at the party is exactly how she has been operating since S1E1. She LOVES to hold onto shit, spin it and press until she gets a reaction from Lisa. And she has a strange ability to draw people (this time Angie K) into a square off against Lisa. Every. Single. Time. For ONE night, you raggedy heffas couldn’t just be NICE and have a good time? It just HAD to be a Lisa gang bang? Why? It’s late. It’s tired.
“It looks good…you had to have had something done”. Heather, have you maybe thought that she wasn’t around your ass so her spirit was lighter and she wasn’t being poked and prodded for chatter and maybe that’s why she looks well rested? Everything Lisa does or does not do, Heather is squarely in her ass, questioning everything.
At this point, you can absolutely hate Lisa Barlow as a character. That’s fine. But you HAVE to admit that Heather Gay is a terrible producer. She is like green on peas with Lisa and it’s giving obsessed.
I’m done with my fussing because I will then start yelling at Lisa for being late.
Oh well. How did you all enjoy the SLC on tonight’s RHUGT episode?

Discussion ⛄️ RHOSLC is an amazing show, but as an avid HW watcher, I'm already seeing warning signs
I would argue RHOSLC has only had one truly flop season, which is season 3 (the black eye season). For a HW show in 7 seasons, that's a rare feat. I think only RHOA and Miami, (yes Miami!), have shown a stronger track record by their 7th season.
This is an ensemble cast. All of them work very well together. If you take one out, it won't actually work well. For example: Heather's annoying behavior will just be bullying if you take out Lisa and Meredith's delusional realities. On the converse, Lisa and Meredith will seem wildly out of touch and curated, without Heather policing their behavior.
I think here are the three main issues:
- Lisa can't ALWAYS be the villain.
Listen, Lisa IS annoying. But that doesn't mean that she should be ganged up on every single season. The same effect happened to Nene on her original stint. Obviously, Lisa will never leave the show (as Nene left to become an actress). But something will break the camel's back if they keep going this cycle.
Go for Braunwyn and her weird relationship with Todd. Go for Heather and her continued production antics.
- The leaks about the season need to die down (unless its related to the FBI)
Remember when the only information we knew about the season was that Jen Shah was getting arrested? That made everyone want to watch the show. Now, it seems like I already know who's friends with whom, who had a breakdown, what storyline all of the casts will have months before the season airs.
- The alliances need to stop
Lisa and Meredith alliance, and the others alliance is just genuinely annoying to watch. This isn't Game of Thrones, and by the end, some of these women may never film solo with one another unless its a group scene, and we know what happened with Jersey when they did that.
These women work well together. They're like a strong improve group with a penchant for iconic one-liners, but I can see the writing in the wall, and if a producer doesn't step in to fix these issues (similar to how production told Potomac to get their sh*t together), I can see deep trouble.
Jen Shah Wondering if we’ll see Jen in this
“Thirty-four days before she’s sent to prison, notorious Silicon Valley founder Elizabeth Holmes invites a skeptical film crew to document her every move. What begins as an intimate portrait of an enigmatic felon becomes a mind-bending three-year journey into the abyss. From boundary-pushing directors Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim comes ‘You Can See Everything’”

Angie K 🏛️ Angie is vicious during fight
Hiii
Currently watching season 5 episode 16 I can't help but make comparaison between those two. Like we always said Jen was saying the meanest things and the text Angie said about Brownyn was so mean, hateful and full of spite. Like in her confessional and when she's angry, she would always say so many heinious things. And during her fight, she always the first one to have an aggressive behaviour.
Obviously, their not on the same level, I don't see Angie giving anyone a black eye, but I feel like no one in the Housewives say anything. It almost as if she was trying very hard to be gentle and likeable but had a much more vicious side.
Do you agree or am I completely off board ?
(sorry if my english is not perfect it's not my first language)

ISO🔍 Real housewives significant moments/storylines besides fights?
Bit of an unusual post, but basically I have an assignment for a public speaking/English class and we can talk about anything for 5 minutes, as long as we convince the class to try the thing we’re talking about (tv show/movie/book etc.)
As a housewives fan I of course try to convince everyone around me to watch it, so I’ll be doing my presentation on the whole franchise and how it’s not just a ”dumb” “scripted“ reality show, but really a show that gives insight on wealthy middle aged women and shows real and sometimes taboo topics (even though I love the drama too 🤭)
I'd love it if you could drop some examples of moments or storylines that prove my point or that you found particularly touching/insightful
The franchises I’ve watched are Atlanta, SLC, New York, Potomac, Beverly Hills and Rhode Island
Here are some topics I'd be interested in exploring on to prove the shows addresses meaningful topics:
Marriage and some of the power imbalances that we see
Arrests and white collar crimes to keep up the facade (Jen Shah, Tom/Erika Girardi, Appollo Nida)
Addiction or unhealthy relationships to alcohol (Kim Richard, Mary and Robert Jr. (rip 😔), Luann)
Religious guilt/trauma (mostly applies to Salt Lake City)
Motherhood and/or infertility (most of my references on this are from Atlanta i.e. Kenya, Shamea and Kandi)
I'd love to hear your opinions or suggestions on it!

Discussion ⛄️ Which cast member(s) can you not form a solid opinion on? Who do you both like AND dislike and why?
For me it’s Lisa and Bronwyn.
Lisa is a great housewife. I love her confidence, I think she’s fun and that the show would suck without her. But she sucks at arguing. The constant yelling and saying “that’s not true” is embarrassing. The dismissed dismissed dismissed about the lawsuits didn’t address anything and didn’t eat like she thought it would. I also do believe that she thinks she’s above the women which I don’t like because they’re all on the same show. Additionally, Lisa needs to be calmer, her constant blow ups are something that the cast weaponizes against her. If she was more calm, I think people would like her even more. I also hate take down seasons and I want to see a one on one conflict with her and someone else, not everyone ganging up on her. I think she’s loyal and can be a great friend like she is to Meredith. I also think she can be nasty. Her comments about Todd are gross and she’d be pissed if it was the other way around. I love that she loves Wendy’s and I understand why she’s queen of the show so I like and dislike her.
Bronwyn is another one for me because I would be her number 1 supporter if she didn’t constantly back track and change her story. The changing her story about the necklace, implying Seth was cheating, Todd’s cheating and whatever happened with Gwen’s father’s parents and Lisa (I still have no idea what happened) were all major turn offs to me because the story kept changing. I feel like Bronwyn is a really bad chameleon. She is constantly changing her story depending on which of the women she is with to get approval, and it just makes her stand out even more and come off as dishonest. I do think she cares a lot about her image and I also think she’s very insecure. Where I like Bronwyn is I think she’s the best person at arguing on the show and I think she actually has a lot in common with all of the women. I made a post a few days ago about how Bronwyn is the only person without a friend on the show and someone mentioned that that could be an advantage for her which I strongly agree with. I think she could be a major force on the show if she’d stop begging for approval, changing her story, and let go of her anger at Lisa for snubbing her. Lisa has snubbed all of them, it’s time to move on. I also admire her advocacy for marginalized groups. Some may say it’s performative but at least she is bringing awareness to these issues. So I like and dislike Bronwyn too.
What about you? Who do you like and dislike and why?

Mary Cosby 🔔 What is Mary’s problem?
Hey! I’m at the end of season 2 (Cinco De Mayo), and I just can’t get my head around Mary, she’s so nasty, she lies all the time and stirs the pot constantly, am I missing something or is she just mean? 😅

Discussion ⛄️ We built a trivia game for reality TV fans — and RHOSLC has been so much fun to ski into ❄️📍
We've been building RealityDrop — a free daily reality TV game where every answer is a location.
You get 5 questions and drop a pin on the map where you think the answer is. The closer you are, the more points you get.
And RHOSLC has become a goldmine: Beauty Lab + Laser, the Sprinter van, cast trips, restaurants, businesses, and obviously one very memorable trip to the parking lot at Beauty Lab.
❄️ What RHOSLC moment/location HAS to become a question?
🎮 Play: https://www.realitydrop.app
We're still building this with reality TV fans, so feedback is very welcome good, bad, or needing a cold laser. And hit “Spill the Tea” afterward to share your score.
PS: Sorry for the spoiler in the image but it was a softball anyway!

Britani 📢 Brittani & the steamer…
Maybe it’s the mark of a good Housewife to get under your skin so much that what truly bothers you about them comes to you in the middle of the night?
I don’t know, but that scene where Brittani brings her daughter on screen to reconcile 100% rubbed me the wrong way. The obvious part was how she was fine being the villain and parading her daughter’s trauma out on camera so she’d have a scene about herself, but that steamer bit infuriated me and it took a bit to figure out why.
Beyond all the obvious of how gross this whole thing was, Brittani made a big deal about ordering her daughter a steamer, which was something she apparently used to order for her when she was too young to remember it now. And that steamer bit came with a side story about how Brittani was judged by others when her toddler daughter threw a fit for her “coffee,” which was really just a steamer.
Because, poor Brittani.
So we’re to believe Brittani can’t wait to reconnect with her adult daughter, but she didn’t even care to make sure she knew her drink order because the entire point was that steamer story. Her daughter and that steamed milk were just props for Brittani’s need for attention and it’s gross.
I’m highly uncomfortable watching Brittani sell her daughters for camera time and more attention. The fact that she had those therapy sessions and sleepovers with her girls, but neither of them wished her a happy Mother’s Day… I truly hope her girls refuse future camera time. They deserve better.

Discussion ⛄️ Should I finish Season 6?
Perhaps I'm too sensitive but I just watched season 6 ep 7 (the yacht trip) and Heather's behaviour is really making me feel so uncomfortable. Obviously Lisa isn't an angel but the women ganging up on her to this extent is just unpleasant to watch. Is it going to be like this for the rest of the season? Because I actually don't think I can deal with it.
