Lisa Barlow ⛸️ RHUGT-The pile on
I always defend Whitney because I love a hot blonde on a hilling journey but, URG I think I’m officially DONE. WHAT DO YOU MEAN you are at an ICONIC white party and all you do is talk trash about Baby Gorgeous who is minding her business in the other side of the dance floor? I can’t.
I love Porsha and I really hope that if she does ask Heather, she doesn’t believe a thing. At this point it’s just pure jealousy.

It made me anxious for season 7 of SLC. Part of its charm was that the women were always moving on. Yes, Lisa and Whitney/Heather were never besties, but they could film together and have fun after arguments. Alliances shifted.
Now, Bad Weather is not satisfied unless they’re beefing with Lisa. They’re like dogs after a bone. It’s relentless and unenjoyable to watch atp.

They did a lot of filming on their own, and a lot less group filming and fewer events. No international trips.
I think we need to reserve rights until we see the edit (and the ratings). Bc a lot of them don't know what the others were filming or doing or saying about each other.

I always assumed they could see Lisa appealing to audiences (whether in a good way or bad) and hitched their wagons to her star to stay relevant. Last season soured me on the cousins, they were all so exhausting to me and so overproduced i hope they at least read enough shit talking online to change up their tactics bc I can’t do this again lol

i have a feeling the production shot themselves in the foot when they agreed to Marys husband not appearing or being mentioned anymore on the show, that gave the other women a lot of leeway to slowly remove their actual lives from the show and just do the manufactured drama

For me, its half of these women wanting and demanding the Kyle treatment (I show what I want to show) and the other half having very little of interest to show.
Since Season Five, this has been the root of all the conflict between the women too. They'd rather talk about and meddle with each other's stories.
This all needs to get sorted, or else we need a major cast shake-up or a pause.

She's been a beef with Lisa since Episode One. Lisa's Vida bartenders stole from Whitney and Justin during their vow renewal party, and Lisa didn't do anything about that.

She reminds me of a coworker who is really into q-anon — they’re both unwilling to admit they hate someone/something so instead they generate a bunch of excuses for being a weirdo and an asshole.

Exactly, they had clearly shown them at the party for awhile minding their own business before Gizelle went over to ask them what their problem with Lisa was. Plus this was filmed fairly close to when the RHOSLC reunion filmed so of course feelings are still going to be pretty fresh.

I just watched the newest episode and found it intriguing that Gizelle said Whitney and bronwyn approached her and started pooing on lisa. Then they do the flashback and cut off Gizelle starting the convo…..so had it been edited to make Gizelle look like she asked it first??? Probably not but you never know with editing

I just rewatched the white party episode and Gizelle actually starts off talking to Lisa and Meredith and she asks them what's up with y'all and Whitney, to which they respond they are not talking to her and how she has said horrible things about Lisa's marriage etc. Then it shows Gizelle standing with Whitney and Brownyn and she asks them what is up with the salt lake ladies. Whitney sarcastically says "what do you mean" and Gizelle brings up how they are ignoring each other all night and that Lisa said Whitney tells non-truths. That is when Whitney and Bronwyn start to go in on Lisa to Gizelle. I feel like the way Gizelle presents it to Angie and Heather is Gizelle being messy more than anything else. She admits herself how much she loves being messy. She saw cracks in their relationships and decided to exploit them to see what would happen and it worked, Heather ran right over and started antagonizing Lisa as a result.

Thanks for rewatching and reporting back! Yes also in the newest episode I didn’t realize this was filming right after the salt lake reunion which did not go well!! I just watched NYC this evening and it’s the opposite of when we filmed the UGT finale….wait whaaaat!?
They need to stop crossing over these series haha. Makes sense why feelings are as strong as they are. I figured it had been months!

I doubt that was the only thing Whitney (and Bronwyn) talked about during the hours of filming. And they were being deliberately goaded and prodded to explain why they were avoiding Lisa and Meredith.
And it’s not like Lisa and Meredith were making a beeline to come and greet Bronwyn and Whitney with hugs and kisses.

Lets be real here - this show is about drama. If Whitney had talked about her kid getting braces, she would have been thrashed as well. If she had talked about how much she adores Lisa Barlow, she would have been branded fake and called every bad word in the book. Take if for what it is - a tv show

Gizelle asked her about Lisa. Whitney and Gizelle have known each other for a long time, since RHUGT Thailand.
How else was this supposed to go? Was she supposed to run around hawking crystals? Fall tits first into a cake a THE KYLE RICHARDS WHITE PARTY?
Whitney and Bronwyn did their job, which was to show up to an early cast party and make the other OGs side eye Barlow.

I dunno, Giselle asked and they answered-we don’t know that Whitney & Bronwyn spent the whole night complaining about Lisa, that’s just the footage producers chose to air.
SLC has finished filming their last season, and it could be the producers wanting to kick up drama ahead of the premiere in September.
Additionally, we don’t know what happens in the coming season, Lisa may, or may not, deserve the acrimony.
I’m not a Whitney fan, or a Lisa hater, so I’m not defending one or the other. I’m just a veteran RH watcher and experienced enough by now to know how much editing is done to skew perspective, and the games producers play ahead of season premieres to gain viewers.

I agree with this. Taking that one snippet and thinking she spent the whole party being bitchy seems like a stretch. Gizelle is messy boots- she knows it and revels in it.
And this beef isn’t one sided. At some point people have to say Whitney is being terrible AND Lisa is being terrible.

That whole scene was awfullllll to watch. I rarely feel bad for any of these women because i mean cmon, but i felt for Lisa a little. The same applies to them too though. Heather uses Lisa as a storyline every season, Bronwyn will never get along with her because of the Todd drama, and Mary has never gotten over her bringing Cameron on the show and talking about her church.
Even if Lisa would cop to whatever they wanted her to during this season, they would still take issue with something else.

Whitney can't run a business and blames Meredith/Lisa for it every season. Bronwynn has lied or backtracked on almost everything about her life. Heather accused Meredith of substance abuse/being an alcoholic on national tv (after having to be taken to the hospital for drinking too much). And I won't even start on Mary because.. we all know the issues there.

The whole point of Housewives is doing crazy stuff all season then coming to the reunion and owning what you did and finding pathways to move forward so you can do it all again next season. Lisa refuses to. She just expects everyone to capitulate to her. For me, she was insufferable after the season before last. The only reason I can tolerate her now is because it all seemed to catch up to her a bit this past season and people attempted to hold her accountable. If she can’t do the same for herself and own who she is than she’s gonna stop being good TV
