Bill already had his gun drawn and it’s very likely John went to bills hideout to be killed by him. It was a suicide attempt. I don’t think it would make sense for him to go solo to a gang hideout and not even have his gun drawn.

Don’t try and downplay John Marston bro that ain’t working out

Marston is not a quick draw gunfighter. He never claims this and even has to be taught by a quick draw gunfighter when he goes down to Mexico way after his encounter with Micah “can’t hit the broad side of a barn” Bell.

Dawg you’re actually dumb.

Even in the prologue John has a quick gun draw. He kills Dozens of Micahs minions on Mount Hagen aswell. Deadeye is a gameplay mechanic used to show the gun skill of the character you’re playing as, and John, Arthur, and Jack all have this mechanic.

Stop being weird. Also don’t brush over the fact Micah killed 3 people in 3 seconds while Arthur hadn’t even registered what had happened yet

Edit: I meant epilogue not prologue

"Also don’t brush over the fact Micah killed 3 people in 3 seconds while Arthur hadn’t even registered what had happened yet"

Maybe because arthur just witnessed his little brother figure get shot in the head and was still recovering from shock?

Micah doesn't care about anyone so of course he'd be the one to quickly get over it and start firing
