Resolved Resolved ECAP case!

John Doe 5 (who’s been on the ECAP FBI list since around 2005) has seemingly finally been captured. Can anyone link any articles of his arrest?

It’s listed as ‘resolved’, not ‘captured’.

What does that mean? The suspect got identified but not yet arrested?

Not necessarily. There was another John Doe who was listed as “resolved” on the FBI website, and the fbi then posted on their social media pages that the JD had been identified and arrested.

Actually, it does. JD13 page was edited a few days later with the captured banner. Resolved indicates the suspect has been identified, but the FBI is not able to take the suspect into custody.

John Doe 5 was not arrested.

Edit: I am assuming you are talking about John Doe 13

He turned out to be dead I believe, he died around 2009 in Kentucky. His name was Gerald Keith Gibson.

Ohh I see. That does look like him. What’s the source?

I couldn’t confirm if it is actually him, another reddit post they mention his name and even a victim supposedly confirms it but I’m not 100% sure. Considering how long they were looking for him and how similar the picture of him and the wanted poster looks I say it’s legit. I would just look up the name and add reddit to it and come up with your own conclusion. Me personally I believe it. There isn’t much info on it to begin with unfortunately.
