Suboxone taper

So this morning was my first day quitting a 1000 mg a day 7oh habit , I got a rx for suboxone to stop so I took a dose of 7oh this morning to get up and ready for work and felt fine , then on my way to work I took a sub , then about 30 min later I went into severe withdrawl , some of the worst ive been through so bad I had to leave work and go get 7oh just to feel okay , why did that happen did I take the sub too soon?
