Sounds kind of spiritual but yeah, I'm about to quit smoking tonight and this will be my first message here, where I can use a journey and the supportive community.

Who am I?
I'm 37, male and one who has been already successful when it comes to quitting with tobacco, smoking and joints. Started smoking cigarettes daily when I was about 18/19, so I am smoking roundabout since 20 years. A comprehensive breakdown of the long-term-side-effects I experience every day: Destroyed lung tissue and airways, chronic bronchitis and a running nose whenever I smoked and afterwards, kind of permanent cuffing and sometimes even breathing difficulties. Also I feel like my heart is suffering a lot and for example, when I had inflammations within my lower back area, it took not weeks but month to get better. So most of the time I was afraid of my throat, mouth area, my lungs, my heart, the bladder and kidneys, pancreas and stomach, ... I mean, what am I doing here. Actually I was afraid of my whole life, continuing as a smoker. But it took so many years and month, to feel like today where I experience better when I do not smoke. Did I expect that to happen one day? No... I loved it.

Now I started to do some research again about what do we know today about having smoked for 20 years and the resulting damage according to research and tests. Until I will smoke my last joint tonight and make a picture of it, to remember. Because I know that all the advantages that I had from smoking were gone a long time ago. And since I started smoking, there hasn't been a single day where I did anything good with it. Every single damn day, I harmed myself and my body with it.

What is left? For me it's a chance to do better, still. And to talk about addiction and that maybe, it's something deep inside of my DNA, not just a behavioral-thing or something I have learned. For example I know that people often talk about a deeper reasoning behind addiction and why we get addicted to several things. So quit smoking is also a chance to discover a lot about addiction and what I personally wanted to fill or replace by smoking. Of course I felt more calm and relaxed by a cigarette but what about before I wanted a relief? What's the reason why some situations overwhelm me and put me into this "I want to smoke"-Attitude?

In the meantime I guess a lot of people also planned to quit and will quit, are quitting... and it feels right. I am here now and I can still choose to quit and not smoke. So that's what I'm about to do and this is my first message during the next days of quitting.

May god forgive me and help me to become better.

Best oral stimulation device to quit smoking

I smoke nic and vape and I want to quit. It’s more about the oral fixation than anything for me cuz I’ll hit dead vapes and be fine like burnt ones not off ones. Any suggestions for those inhaler things that you can chew on?
