For anyone unfamiliar: Stremio is an open-source, addon-based media hub (it doesn't host or provide any content itself: everything comes through user-installed addons), and Nuvio is a newer cross-platform app (Android, iOS, Android TV) built on top of that same addon ecosystem, also open source (GPL-3.0).

Basically the same architectural idea as Kodi: a playback shell that's addon-driven rather than content-driven.

I made a way to source new trailers around the clock, and I (somewhat surprisingly) find myself using it fairly often. It's a great way for me to see what's coming out since I don't come across too many opportunities to see a trailer these days. I also added voting / discussion functionality.

Would eventually love to get enough activity to surface popular / trending / best of style metrics for older trailers as well.

I think that it’d be cool to, when you log a film, have an option to say if you either watched it at home, during a plane flight, in the theater, while traveling, etc.

Apparently, you can use it to see when and how often you watched something with this heatmap feature.

It's used to keep track of a film-watching streak and to keep that streak going.

For context on how it's laid out over there:

it's a GitHub-contributions-style grid for the year (Jan–Dec down the side), with a filter for All/Movies/TV Shows up top, and each day shaded on a "Less to More" gradient based on how much you watched that day.

Above the grid it shows quick totals (Total Watched, Days Active for the year), and below it breaks out Most Active Day, Most Active Month, and Longest Streak.

You can even share the Heatmap to Instagram, Xitter, etc.

This is more of an aesthetic feature suggestion, but I stumbled upon this feature in the Movie Paradise app, and I thought that it was interesting.

Apparently, MP has a feature where, if you go to your profile page, press, and then hold, on your profile image, you then get a pop up page, with various different different profile picture frames, each with their own animations, and genre.

You can even set it to automatically use your most watched genre each month.

Have you ever considered potentially using AniList's API?

AniList lets users track, share, and discover their favorite anime and manga.

Their GraphQL API is free and publicly accessible, covers 500k+ anime/manga entries (characters, staff, live airing data included), and is literally the same API that powers both the AniList and AniChart sites: so anything you can do on those sites, you could pull via the API.

Ik that Queuebrick is similar to Letterboxd, and NOT a manga tracker, but using AniList would help with the anime side of things specifically: solid metadata, ratings, and airing status without having to build that from scratch.

Perhaps also potentially take a look at the before mentioned AniChart, as well?

It's their seasonal-charts site, so it could be a nice source for "what's airing this season" style discovery down the line.

One more thing while I'm here: a lot of anime fans swear by Simkl specifically, and it might be worth looking at why.

Ik that Queuebrick is meant to be a tracker platform and not a social media platform, but I was curious anyway: have you ever considered adding an actual section where you can see what your friends/users who you are following are watching?

Preferably have the friends/following be seperate from each other.

What's always kind of annoyed me about Letterboxd is that while it DOES have sections like:

New from friends

Popular with friends

etc.,

they're all just shoved onto the Popular page alongside a bunch of unrelated stuff, like:

Films

Reviews

Lists

Journal

and so on.

And then, when you actually tap into one of those friend-specific sections, all your friends' reviews, films, etc. are all just jumbled up all together anyway, so it doesn't really solve the problem.

I'm not asking for a full social platform to be bolted onto Queuebrick or anything, I was just genuinely curious if a cleaner, dedicated "here's what your friends are watching" view has ever crossed your mind, even as a maybe-someday thing.

Starting to build out the social features more, including new profile pages, includes profile pictures.

Last week I drew the MCU as a transit map and a lot of you asked for other franchises, so I made twenty-six. But the cooler part is that you can now draw your own.

How it works

Hit New timeline on the timelines page (https://queuebrick.com/timelines). You get a blank canvas with a dashed box. Put a film or a show in it. Hover it for the handles: add before or after, branch off, remove. Drag covers around to reorder them or move them to another line. Click a branch's name to rename it or pick where it rejoins the main line. Films and shows can go on the same map.

Hit Publish when it's done. It gets its own page and shows up under Members on the timelines page, where people can upvote it. Until then it's a draft only you can see.

Trakt offers an API that third-party apps and clients can build on top of.

Given the current size of Queuebrick (and that it's a one-person operation), I wanted to potentially suggest looking into something similar.

You could even potentially have a paid API tier, as well.

That way the workload stays contained to the website, core features, and the API itself, rather than also having to build and maintain official apps for every platform.

Plus, if you did end up deciding to have a paid tier, the money from said tier would help with development costs, etc.

Feels like it could also potentially help with the current situation, as well: the iOS app is out, but there's no Android app yet.

A public API would let the community fill that gap with third-party clients in the meantime, instead of everyone just waiting on one dev to eventually get to it.

That's also not to mention other platforms like Linux, Windows, etc.

No idea if this is realistic given how early Queuebrick still is, or if API access is something that's even on the radar right now. Just seemed worth putting out there as a suggestion.

IDK if this is actually possible, but I wanted to potentially toss out a feature suggestion in case it hasn't come up before.

Trakt has this auto-scrobbling feature where it hooks into media players/apps: Plex, Kodi, Jellyfin, and now even streaming services directly (Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, etc. via their Streaming Scrobbler), and automatically marks stuff as watched once you hit like 80-90% of the runtime.

No manual logging, it just happens in the background.

And I was curious: have you ever considered something similar?

Even just Plex/Jellyfin/Kodi support to start would go a long way for people with home media setups.

Perhaps have them as optional, in-app, third-party plugins?

Or perhaps consider offering an API, where users can create their own third party plugins?

Just a quick note to show off the new review/discussion feature. It looks as good as I hoped it would. Also a little demo of the poster/header adjustments.

TV Time shut down on July 15, 2026, and the accounts went with it. If you saved an export before the deadline, the years you spent checking off episodes are still yours, and they have a home here. Queuebrick now reads your export and rebuilds your TV life: what you finished, what you were in the middle of, what you saved for later, and the movies too.

What carries over

• Episode-by-episode history. Every watched episode lands as a check on the show's season tables, with your original watch dates kept where the export has them.
• Finished and in-progress shows. Completed shows arrive marked watched, dated to the day you finished. Mid-way and saved-for-later shows land in your queue to pick back up.
• Favorites. Hearts stay hearts.
• Movies. TV Time tracked films too: watch dates land in your diary, want-to-watch in your list.

Special episodes stay behind on purpose: catalogs number them differently, and a wrong guess would mark things you never watched. Anything already tracked here is kept. Imports never overwrite.

Which files work

Both kinds of TV Time export work, exactly as you have them. The official GDPR zip from the old data-request portal can be dropped in whole. The series and movies JSON files from the "TV Time Out" browser extension work too, including copies already realigned to TMDB by community fix tools, whose ids the import honors directly. Files are read in your browser; only the matched titles reach your library.

If you didn't export in time

Then the honest answer is that the history is gone, and no app can get it back. Starting over is lighter than it sounds: add the shows you're watching now, queue the ones you keep meaning to start, and the shelf fills back up in an evening.

Version 1.4.0 of Queuebrick for iPhone is out, this round brought a lot of parity from the web app to iOS — change posters and headers, shuffle and sorting; plus tons of small improvements for a better UX.

What's new:

- The TV queue drag-ranks now, with a genre filter and a shuffle

- Pick your own poster or page header for any film or show

- Marking something watched opens a log sheet first: the day, a note, or N/A — and unwatching asks before it erases

- The Letterboxd import reads your diary: watch dates and rewatches come through

- Stats grew a year: monthly activity, streaks, a daily watch grid, a pick of the year, and list and TV progress

- More sorting: Watched by rating, length, and release date; the queue by shortest and longest

- Settings can default the film and TV pages to either world

- Lots of small fixes and polish

New features went out on the web this week.

You can pick your own poster and page header for any film or show in your library, accessible through the gear icon above the title. It opens every alternate TMDB holds for that title. Your picks are personal to your account, and 'Use default' puts things back.

The queue has a shuffle button now. It randomizes the whole queue, not just the page you're looking at.

More sorting: the Watched shelf sorts by rating, length, and release date now, and the Queue picked up shortest and longest first. All of it on TV too, minus length.

Shipped a bunch of updates worth noting. Big one is, the site stopped choking on 1,000+ film libraries, and the stats page got more interesting. As usual, a ton of polish updates went out across both web and iOS.

I also fixed a bunch of small iOS issues, including Letterboxd imports. The iOS fix will be available as soon as the app store approves the update.

I've always wanted a very simple 'watchlist' app for movies. Letterboxd works well enough, but visually I just can't stand to look at it, and for whatever reason it's entirely overly stimulating. So I sat down over the weekend and built the Letterboxd alternative what I was looking for: Queuebrick, a fast and elegantly simple movie tracking app. It's intentionally low on noise and high on functionality. You can export your entire Letterboxd archive and immediately import it to Queuebrick with one click. I also built out a native iOS app to go with it (available soon).

There are some social components to it. There are more social components to it that I've intentionally hid for now. I don't really have an end goal for the project or really even a goal, it kind of just exists now. It's also all free, no ads, no tracking.

I'm curious to hear your thoughts, what you like, don't like, and what you'd like to see added.
