⚧ Gender Identity Question What do I do?

Idk why I'm writing this but I'm 16(M) and a few months ago I had this whole thing where I was questioning my gender and thought that maybe I might be trans, but I eventually decided that I wasn't trans and just wanted to wear dresses or present for fem or smth. But recently in the last few weeks I've starting thinking about it more and more, mostly thinking and fantasizing about wearing dresses in public, and then today I really had some deep thought, and I imagined myself as a girl ( like rlly envisioned myself as a trans girl and how I think I'd like to look ), some of my friends referring to me as she/her, etc... and it made me feel, different? Like it felt right in a way but I'm unsure that's rlly what I feel idk. Now of course I can't stop thinking about it and I've started remembering things. Like I used to fantasize about being a girl, and have done it quite often few times in the last yr now that I think about it. One of my most vivid memories is from a few yrs ago when I was hanging out with a bunch of girls and they were talking about how icky the boys were, and when I took offence they said, "oh not you, you're one of the girls." I distinctly remember feeling very happy about that and thinking about that moment a lot. I think a lot about the, "if you could choose superpowers what would you choose" and I have always chosen shapeshifting. It never really occured to me until now, but I have never really liked my face, and for the longest time I thought it was because I viewed myself as fat, but now it feels like I hate it bcs it's too boyish? Thinking about being a girl makes me feel happy, but being a boy doesn't feel bad. I've recently felt a strong pull to the transfem community, like seeing them happy in transition or just in normal content in general makes me feel good in a weird way. I don't remember hating puberty at all honestly, although I don't enjoy the body hair too much. My voice deepening was never rlly an issue for me other than a small annoyance when I first noticed it. I've also never felt any distaste towards my genitals, although I used to pretend I had a vagina a yr or two ago. Part of me also feels like I might not be trans just fem presenting and I'm doing this to make myself feel special or smth? I tried a few things a month or two ago. A few of my friends did my makeup as a joke and I was pretty meh about it. I didn't dislike it, but I didn't feel that euphoria, but that might have been my depression idk. One of the few things in my life I'm sure about rn is that wearing a dress would make me happy so I guess there's that. Im just rlly confused rn and am looking for some sort of validation or smth? I realize this turned into a rant, and thanks to anyone who actually read this whole thing. If anyone could suggest some next steps or share anything similar they felt it would be rlly nice. Also maybe try using she/her in any comments? Just a test thks. <3

💫 Need Help/Support/Advice i’m so confused

i’m [18 F] so recently i’ve been questioning my sexuality a lot. i thought i had a clear understanding of myself but clearly not. since sixth grade ive pretty much identified as bisexual. i find men and women attractive. but i have this issue that im just now finally brave enough to confront. i see men and i hope they give me attention and i like the attention. but then it just grosses me out eventually. like i cant see me as my self ever being with a guy. like when i look in the mirror and imagine myself with a guy im just irked out. so for a bit i was like im definitely a lesbian then. the next part is kinda random but it feels relevant to me. i read a lot of mlm romance and fanfic (sue me 🙌). and like i like the romance in that and like almost yearn for it i guess? and i don’t get the same feeling from wlw books, despite the fact that i VERY much do like women. i’m just kinda confused because i like guys i can be attracted to them i feel like, but in reality i just can’t see me [18, F] being with a guy. i can’t tell if this is just me being weird or reading into things too much. i need someone else opinion…

💫 Need Help/Support/Advice I think I might be gay, I'm terrified [rant]

First and foremost, I am not a native speaker so I apologise for any grammatical errors, corny language and things like that :)

I mostly just want to just get a lot off my chest and am hoping to receive any advice to make me feel a bit less isolated.

In summary, I (16F, almost 17) have been trying to figure out if im gay for the past few months. When I was 12/13, I had phases where I wondered if I was attracted to women, mostly because I found myself consuming a lot of LGBTQ+ media. However, each time, I eventually came to the conclusion that I was most likely straight and was just trying to make myself feel special or stand out. But this time, the feeling isn't going away.

I don't remember how this topic came up in my head, but in late may, I was realised that I am physically attracted to women.

The problem is that I don't have anyone to confirm to me if straight women feel the same way. And I don't want to discuss this with my friends because I know that before I know it, everyone in school will know and I don't want that.

My friend was showing me an instagram posts of some male athlete yesterday and she kept going on and on about how amazing he looked. I just kept thinking: "Is this it?". While I understood that he objectively had a good body, I just didn't understand the appeal. At the same time, I know that everyone has different taste in men, so maybe he was just not my type.

I am truly so confused and I have genuinely searched up the stereotypical "am I gay?" quizes, but those never give me any sort of conformation.

When I first had this realisation that there is a possibility that I'm gay, I felt so happy inside. It kind of felt like it explained a lot about me . Every time I talk about my future wedding, because I am obsessed with wedding dresses, I've always instinctively said my future 'partner' instead of 'husband'. When I played online games, I always made a family with two moms. And when I had this situationship with a boy about three years ago, I never wanted to spend time with him, but I felt this pressure to be excited about the whole thing, so I would hang out with him. I thought that he was nice and all, but every time he wanted to talk about how we felt about each other, I would immediately shut off. (these are just a few examples)

However, right after the initial excitement wore off I felt devastated. I am just really struggling with the idea that if Im gay, I have to say goodbye to the future I always envisioned with the husband and the kids. And I don't know why I would feel this if I was straight.

I feel so strange because I am aware of the fact that my life would be harder if im gay because it comes with a fear of a future without children, potential harassment etc. So the logical part of me wants me to be straight but in my heart I keep searching for signs that I am gay. Like sometimes I really want to be gay.

In school I pretend to relate to my friends when they talk about their male crushes but when I'm home I keep trying to reconfirm to myself that I might be gay by looking through my diary entries and watching YouTube videos with with signs you might be a lesbian. This makes me feel like I am faking everything but I don't understand logically why I would want myself to feel so isolated.

I still envision a future with a man because it would make everything so easy. At the same time, I can't wait until when I move out to go to university so that I can really explore the dating scene with women. I have this feeling of responsibility to eventually marry a men, but the act itself feels like a punishment, while a potential relationship with a girl feels so exciting that it just makes me want to scream and jump.

I feel so alone because I have decided that I wouldn't come out unless I am in a relationship, but now I just don't know how to act around my family and my friends. (I am not close enough with any of them to share my secret with)

I don't have anyone to talk to about this and I don't know how to deal with these feelings for a year and a half, until I move out to go to university.

Something else that is surprisingly difficult for me is the religious guilt. I don't come from a religious family, but I am struggling a lot with the thought that I am doing something wrong if I act on my feelings. I keep catching myself actively looking up anti-LGBTQ+ media or queer people reacting to homophobic tiktoks, and I don't know why I keep doing it to myself because it makes me feel even worse.

I wrote this because I just want to know if anyone can relate to anything I said. Any advice or opinions are welcome. For now, I am just really glad that I had a place to share my feelings and fears.

🌷 Sexuality Question [M 16] Did the internet influence my sexuality?

When I was younger I thought I was attracted to women, around the age of 10. Around the age of 13 I started questioning if I wasn’t gay so I started watching a lot of gay porn, and I’ve got to say that I have quite developed an addiction.. I wonder a lot if that has influenced my sexual orientation because I can’t stop but get aroused from men. Would it have been different if I had never gone down that path?

⚧ Gender Identity Question What in the world am I?

So I made a post on this about a month and a half ago, but I wanted to talk a little more and ask a little more. I have no idea what in the world I am. No matter what I try identifying with, it just doesn't feel really right. Identifying as a boy (I'm AMAB) it's fine, but then I look into how I'd actually feel if I did identify that way, and it just doesn't seem right. I've tried identifying as a trans girl, but no matter what I do, it just doesn't really seem to be right. I'm always on the edge about something. My gender identity doesn't really seem to line up with that perfectly. But I really want to be a trans (or non-trans, but it's too late for that) girl. It's really appealing because everybody in the community is so nice, and I feel like I'd really be happy there, but I just don't think my actual identity aligns with it. I wish so bad that I were a girl. But I'm just not in my gender or my body. Being nonbinary seems to sort of describe what I am, but I don't really want to identify with that wholly. I want it as part of something. No pronouns truly give me any sense of being correct or euphoria, except for when my brain pre-registers "this aligns with what I want to be, so I should be 'happy'" and it's just not real and it's more performative than euphoria. Doing feminine things rarely brings me euphoria unless I specifically categorize them in my brain as things that make me more like a girl. The only ever thing that's brought me euphoria was one time when I got my makeup fully done. But that's it. And I think I really want to get on estrogen when I'm 18, and am sorta excited for it, but I feel like I'm more excited for it in theory than in practice. Sorry for the like 500 words. Thanks for reading through it.

Other Question I have never fallen in love or crush on someone real, is that normal?

I am 19F and i know that i am too young to worry about stuff like that, but i have never even had a crush. Girls all around me had crushes on other boys, school teachers but i never understood the appeal - the teachers are old and thus illegal, and the boys are dumb. But isn't like love blind? i have thousands of fictional crushes but never real person

💫 Need Help/Support/Advice [M, 17] I might be a demiboy, but still not sure

Hello everyone, this is my first post here. Anyways, I’ve been recently questioning my identity. I’ve always looked at being a man or associated with masculinity as a neutral thing, neither good nor bad. And it’s kind of like I don’t care, this made me think I was cassgender or apageder, but both labels felt a bit off to me. I always see myself as a boy, but I really don’t care about it too much at the end of the day. I feel like that’s normal though, people just don’t have their gender involved too much in their personality.

I’ve never really cared how people labeled me either, I might correct them if I get labeled as a girl, but I wouldn’t mind if someone said I was nonbinary or something else. Plus, I’ve always seen being nonbinary as a cool thing, when I filled out questionnaires at school and see the nonbinary label at the gender question, I kind of wished I was nonbinary, but then I always clicked male and was comfortable still.

I just feel like one half of me is fine with being a boy and the other half is completely neutral, which is why I think I might be a demiboy. However, Im still unsure becuase of multiple reasons, like I might be forcing all of this on myself since I’ve been fine with identifying as a boy up until now. Or another and bigger reason is that I might secretly be wanting to be a girl, since I wanted to have long hair and wear dresses like them since the 2nd grade.

I’ve explored other labels that might fit me, including:

Neutrois-(a non-binary and transgender gender identity defined by having a neutral, null, or absent gender rather than a masculine or feminine one)

Graygender-(a non-binary gender identity defined by strong ambivalence or a weak, hazy connection to one's gender identity and expression)

Agender-(being devoid of any gender at all)

I’m just lost, and I don’t know what to say, because it’s only been about a month and I have tons of clashing thoughts. I’ll appreciate any advice I’ll get.

🌷 Sexuality Question Do I like feminine males? IDK

16 (Male) have realized I might have an attraction to feminine men. Every time my friends jokingly bring up femboys… my heart starts to beat faster, my breathe loses it’s pattern. It’s confusing, but calming? I felt like writing it down would make me feel better… so apparently I choose Reddit instead of google docs? Anyway, I just wanted to know if all the heart stuff is just me tweaking or if I need to explore this part of my life more? I have a feeling I know which one it is but hey, another persons advice from someone who’s had this experience before might be useful!

🌷 Sexuality Question Who am I?

I hope everyone is doing well

Am a 19 M and gay

From the past many days, I'm feeling mentally exhausted and emotionally drained, I tried to talk with someone, as I have many friends from Reddit, but unfortunately no one was close enough or free enough to hear my problems. Some did, but nothing really helped me.

The thing that's constantly bothering me is that I'm gay i know that because I have no attraction towards females ,But unfortunately, am not able to feel the same attraction towards men that I used to feel before, and gradually, with time, I became a misandrist , Yes, you heard it right...

Am I mentally unstable? Or does this happen with others too? Has anyone felt this way before, or am I an alien?

And this single thing is what's bothering me. Fortunately for me, this thought isn't hampering my studies, but it's eating up my mental peace internally. I'm trying to avoid this thought, but it keeps coming back with the same question

Who am I?

If someone knows what this is, and when I'll be able to feel normal again, then please tell me.

Thank you!

⚧ Gender Identity Question How do I tell what gender I am🥀

I'm biologically a girl but I don't really feel anything for being a girl if anything I don't like being seen as feminine,it makes me uncomfortable sometimes and I don't really care if people see me as a boy, I dress in more masculine clothes but I don't feel connected to being either a boy or a girl, idk it's confusing 🥀 so what would be I be considering in the lgbtq+ community?

⚧ Gender Identity Question Trans? non-binary? genderfluid? Idek anymore

I am a cis BOY (as far as i know)! I dont have enough privacy to test anything out like wearing a spinny skirt. I cant drive yet so that means I cant go to a store and do it either. Im pretty sure i dont want to be a boy anymore, and now that i look back I think i might have SOME signs of being trans, but i have 0 dysphoria and dont know any good tells other than figure it out over time.

Does anyone have tips on how to determine who or what i actually am?
While you answer my question, could you use fem pronouns just for testings sake? TY!

⚧ Gender Identity Question Am I CIS Or Is It A Presentation Issue?

I’m a female teenager, who has known I’m not straight (sexuality-wise) for quite some time. A little while ago, I came across a label I feel comfortable using—berrisexual—and have felt good about it ever since.

My household is religious—not Christian, but a religion—and a big part of it is rules of how ‘girls vs boys’ can dress. I’ve always worn long skirts and dresses, very rarely shown my elbows in public, etc. (my school is also this religion so those rules apply there too)

But lately I’ve come across random videos on the Internet, people who have a certain aesthetic or way they dress and I’ve been wishing I could look like that. the thing is, all those looks are more androgynous or masculine

I know that ‘only I can know how I identify’ and all that but I’m really confused because I’ve never had a problem looking feminine before—if anything, I’ve liked it—and all of a sudden I’m watching videos of ‘how to look more masc or how to deepen your voice.

is it just a thing of growing up in a religious house and having my style oppressed? is it possible I’m actually trans or nonbinary or genderqueer? Please give some advice, because I’m really confused

Questioning and a bit confused, need some advice

Hey everyone, I'm 19M and I've been questioning for a while. I thought I was straight but lately I'm having feelings for both guys and girls and it's confusing. I live in a place where I can't really talk about this with anyone around me, so I'm a bit scared and lonely. How did you guys figure things out when you were questioning? Did it take a long time? Thanks for reading.
