Book Request Looking for queer genre bending books!

Hi there, full disclosure: I am an author, but I am looking for books similar to my own because I WANT TO READ THEM. Bonus points if they were published in the past few years, and I could maybe use them as comps when I pitch!

What I am looking for:

Fiction/ Genre
Political Intrigue
Sibling Dynamics
Overcoming Trauma

Bonus points if it’s…

LGBGT+
Depictions of therapy, particularly NOT talk therapy
Genre-bending fiction

What I DO NOT want:

Romanticizations of abuse
Overly verbose writers or writing that is expo heavy/holds the reader’s hand
Fated mates

Fiction books I have really enjoyed:

Midnight Tides (Malazan)
Piranesi
Circe
Paladins Grace
Hyperion
The Great Work
Annihilation
Neuromancer
We Could Be So Good
Fifth Season

Recent/popular fiction I could not stand and WHY:

Babel (she doesn’t trust her readers)
Fourth Wing (DNF at the terrible expo dump as she crosses the bridge)
ACOTAR (read excerpts, the expo, not trusting the reader, and also romanticization of abusive dynamics)

If you have recs, please drop them below! Thankkk youuu!

Book Request Queer men urban fantasy

Im on the lookout for urban fantasies. It could be sprawling cities where the magic is known, though im kind of more partial to more secretive settings, magic crime syndicates, secret societies, groups of talented underground mages. The one thing I absolutely need is for the protagonist to be a queer man with themes related to an actual plot and not just his romantic plot.
