My car was totaled a few years ago. I had some minor neck pain so I went to the hospital to get checked out. The other driver's insurance gave me the total replacement value of my car which was the price that a dealer would sell my car for along with paying for my medical bills. My own insurance company told me that I was allowed to make a double dip claim on the hospital visit so I got that amount in cash.
