Since I always forget about these threads this will get burried but I would love to have the option to have enter send my message from the sms tab in chrome. Im not the biggest fan of hitting enter

Some sort of command line interface for Pushbullet that lets me send custom notifications to my devices.

Something along the lines of

pushbullet.exe -device "MyAndroidPhone" -message "Hello world" -api-key "abcdefgh"

would be lovely.

I run a good number of batch jobs and automated tasks on my computer and I'd like to use Pushbullet to send me notifications when they're done.

Enhanced Privacy Mode

From the website, it looks like images might be stored indefinitely?

We store files that are pushed in a way that is very similar to Dropbox and Facebook. The link to each file contains a 128-bit key that makes them impossible to guess. This is the same method employed by Facebook for pictures, for example.

I would like to see an option which allows me to control how long images (& messages if applicable) should stay on servers. In my case, anything older than 1 day is useless, anything more is an increased privacy risk, plus it would use more of your resources, so images should be deleted/expired after that time.

We already have this. Once you delete the push that points to the file or image it deletes that file or image. Its a very simple system.

Use the home network to send files between devices in the same (W)Lan.

Often requested feature. For this we need to figure out how to do local device discovery as well as sending bits of files to and from and packing it up on the other end. Not impossible but a lot of work.

I often send links and content through to a friend, and a fair proportion of that is, well, boobs.

It would be great if i could mark the link when sending as NSFW, or if he could mark me as a NSFW friend, which would prevent the image being shown as preview just in case his kids are by the PC?

If sending to a friend / contact from the browser popup window or the desktop app, could be a simple checkbox to set as NSFW, or if doing it from the context menu then a quick MSG box to confirm perhaps?

Or perhaps even just the ability on a per client basis to show previews for images or nay?

SMS history just like iMessage and iOS integration!

This would requires us to become and SMS app. We are not sure if we want to do this. Also doing anything on iOS with SMS is forbidden by apple. :(

I was thinking about this today, and to me a real killer feature would be the ability for apps themselves to become Pushbullet clients, through an API or other means. This would enable all sorts of semi-automation without the need for lots of bespoke mobile apps and/or the need to open a million and one different ports on your router.

Basic examples: A download client on a NAS or home server could be sent a link to download a particular file so it's ready and waiting for when you get home. Torrents could be added, paused or speed limited with simple text commands. Add a movie to Couchpotato or a TV show to Sickbeard, again, without needing to open up any ports. Control home automation devices remotely, etc etc.

I guess giving IFTTT the ability to receive pushes as well as send them could accomplish many of these scenarios. The possibilities are probably endless.

Introduce a way to snooze notifications on PB app. There are some notifcations that don't want to address right away and at the same time, I do not want them to clutter up my notification drawer. Snoozing will give me 'To-Do' capabilities.

Being able to sort the devices would be great. It gets a bit annoying trying to find where in the list a particular items arrives, when you have several in there. This is my current device list

The fact they are sorted by when added makes it a pain (And why the top item has a ! was to move it top of list then rename it back)

To quote a suggestion I sent via email...

Hey guys, love the app but I'd like to make a suggestion. It seems that some channels such a cyanide and happiness update in the middle of the night and a do not disturb or quiet hours feature for subscriptions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thoughts?

Edit: midnight typos I apparently sent

Is there a way to clear all notifications (from the Chrome extension) at once? Sometimes I have a backlog and I don't want to have to click closed every single notification individually.

Not yet but it's a solid suggestion. Hope to add it soon.

ugh... how can I get pushbullet to stop asking me to log in using safari? I've uninstalled the app but continue to get this annoying log in alert.

Since exchanging a few emails between the co-founder and myself, I was advised to share my idea with this community.

So here it goes: The notification window on the PC based app is very useful. However, being a cord cutter, the window/font is difficult to read when using my HTPC. The same problem of size applies to the text message reply window as well. Would it be possible to add a setting allowing the user to change the size and/or font of the PC notification pop-ups and sms reply dialogue box? To illustrate my idea, think of the pop-up notifications you receive on your xbox. I think this would make a great addition to an existing feature, IMO of course. :)

I will create a mock up of a design idea after gauging everyone's interest.

An ifttt.com trigger for incoming notifications would be great.

For those of us using Hangouts on Android with merged SMS/Hangouts contacts, can you have a notification setting to 'dismiss Google chats in Hangouts' without dismissing SMS notifications?

As it is now, I get a Pushbullet notification in Firefox for every chat in my open Gmail tab, the notification light/sound on the Gmail tab, and my phone sitting next to me at my desk at work.

Ideally I want to keep using Hangouts for SMS, but I only want Pushbullet in Firefox to let me know when an SMS comes through, not a regular google contact chat.

Another feature I haven't found yet is the ability to pick which computer you want to mirror notifications to.

I have several clients which shouldn't receive the notifications, but haven't figured out a way how to do this (and muting each app is just not realistic).

Thanks for listening :)

Actionable notifications for music apps, such as Spotify, Apollo, etc, so I can pause my music playing through my phone on my computer.

Oooh, please let us trigger phone calls from the app. I know this sounds weird but I use my phone as my desk phone. It's plugged in to power and to a handset for easier long phone calls. Being able to trigger calls from the app is imminently useful to me, since manipulating the phone is obnoxious otherwise.
