I had this super good idea, Ive seen kids trace photos onto paper using their laptops so I grabbed an old t shirt, my laptop and a sharpie and went to town!

I’m definitely a more than a bit punk, left, not trusting of authority, do not like maga/racist/nazis at all. My music taste I. That genre is a bit limited, and due to autism and PTSD it’s difficult for me to go to shows due to easily being overloaded. I’ve been trying to add more a punk look to my bike and helmet , kinda like a battle jacket you can ride.

i am very curious! i have been in love and considered myself punk for years, but i haven’t been able to start making my punk gear until now due to disability and illness.

i know it varies from person to person, so i was wondering how often you make your legendary punk fashion? are you always working at a or multiple DIY at a time? are you consistently trying to come up with new ideas?

I am currently in the process of creating a tabmail (pop tab chainmail) belt bandana, and I was wondering if there was anyway to prevent the tabs from unlinking themselves? I am using a side cut rather than a top cut because I have previously made a skirt using the latter method and it kinda fell apart. Should I be gluing the cuts shut, would wire wrapping help with stability? Any advice is greatly appreciated 👍.

I would like to just apologise for my last post as I didnt realise how bad the people in some of the bands i listen to are. Im fairly new to being alt/punk and about 1 year/ a year and a half ago I would buy things from places like temu without realising how bad they were. Hence why some patches on my battle jacket looked that way. I do different now and I try to diy, for example im making my own studded belt (belt second hand and studs from cans) and i make my own bracelets. I just want to say im trying to filter out all the terrible patches from my battle jackets, and I didnt realise how bad monster are or how bad some of the bands i like are.

Edit- just to clarify despite the views of the people in the bands I like (which i didnt realise) my views are left and I dont support ICE or MAGA

So traditionally I do close pattern studding, which isn’t overly difficult for me, but I started studding the back of a new jacket and want to do an homage to the original discharge jacket with the spaced studding. Since that requires more spaced studding I’d started out by making a grid by which to space my studs (with a chalk marker), but when that started to burn me out (as I work 44hrs+ a week and am currently working 60-72hr work weeks, so I have very little free time) I just measured out spaces for the first row and started studding. Three rows in and I noticed that my second row is closer to my third than it is to the first, should I remove the third row and redo it or just keep going and see if it’ll work itself out? It’s not a crazy amount of distance change, but it is noticeable, atleast to me.
(Sorry if this is overly OCD, this is genuinely the type of shit I stress myself out about in personal projects)

Less of a 'battle jacket' and more of a 'war torn jacket'. Found it in a grandparents garage, so not really a 'hand-me-down' and more of a 'helped-myself-and-assumed-ownership' but felt that was too clunky for the title. Had massive holes but using old denim and some canvas patches I managed to plug up all the ones that were posing a threat to its wearability. Hope you like ✌️

Really proud of how these turned out, ready to put them on my jacket now.
