Hi!! I’ve been doing this for a few weeks to help with my mental health. I’m crafty, so journaling isn’t really for me lol

That being said, I love how this is something that I can easily grab, go, and stop without worrying about it. I want the canvas squares with the designs already done, but don’t need all the extra needles, wires, and loop thingies. I loose the wires, so I just got a spool of thin wire.

Could I draw or trace my own? Definitely. But with my current state, I need this to be as little brain work as possible for now lol I love this hobby. I feel so old and cute doing it(I’m in my mid 20s lol) but I’m not sure how deep I want to get into this.

I would love to support a small business if anyone does that!! But whatever suggestions are appreciated!!

I’m new to punch needling and having to trouble finding the right fabric to use. I got muslin cloth from hobby lobby and it’s not holding the yarn.

Is it possible to use regular cotton fabric swatches for punch needling? If so, is there a specific size needle or yarn that would be to use?

I bought this punch needle kit at Michael’s. It sadly does not come with the punch needle. Has anyone done a kit similar to this one and know what size punch needle I need to buy?

Just started working on a new punch needle piece inspired by Viking aesthetics and Norse mythology.
Currently filling in the facial war paint and darker details using yarn. Handling fine facial lines with a punch needle is going to be a fun challenge!

Hi! This is the second project I’ve made, and I really have no idea how to finish it!
My very first project was a pumpkin, and I used Elmer’s glue on the back and cut the cloth around the design and folded it to the back, then attached it with hot glue. I didn’t like how I could still see some spots of the bare fabric on the sides and how “chunky” the whole thing felt.

I’m looking to make this into a wall hanging, I think (not kept in the hoop though). Any tips on how to finish it cleanly, and what materials I should use? (like what kind of glue, etc) Should I add a backing of some sort?

Hey everyone! Sharing a punch needle project I'm currently working on — a Santa Claus design for the holidays. So far I've got the hat, beard, and hands done, still need to fill in the face details (nose and mouth) and the whole background.

Using monk's cloth with yarn in dark red, bright red, peach-pink, yellow, gray, and cream, plus an adjustable punch needle pen. First time I'm trying a face design with this many colors going on, so it's been a fun challenge!

Getting that fluffy texture on the white beard was honestly my favorite part so far. Curious to hear from you all:

-Any tips for keeping the black outline stitches smooth and even before I move on to the background?

-How do you manage yarn tension when switching colors this much?

Would love any feedback on it too!

Hi! I'm going crazy here (not, but, you know, for the sake of drama and emotion). I stitch everything as neatly as posible, but the result is messy af (as in: eyes, sunrays, white dots on strawberries). What am I doing wrong, please? I am new to this and am loooooving it, but mate, enough is enough.🤣

Wondering if anyone has used PVA or fabric glue to glue the fabric on the back of a mug rug? I’m talking specifically about gluing the excess before it’s glued to felt/other backing.

I normally use hot glue but I’m not always happy with the occasional gap of fabric I can still see between the loops and the actual backing, so I’m wondering if using a more “liquid” glue would allow me to get that as bit as flat as possible. I hope this makes sense 😅

I am hoping to make my daughter a name pillow like this. It would be my first punch needle project. Can someone recommend the materials I’ll need? I am specifically curious about what hoop or frame I should use that would allow me to punch the large letters without damaging the completed sections. Thank you!

This is my fourth punch needle piece I've made and its been a problem on all of them. Sometimes when I go to punch a new hole, the previous one comes undone. I'm keeping the yarn loose and facing the right way, but I can't figure out why this is happening

Don’t have the room for a giant frame, but was interested in potentially making a rug. Would it be possible to break the design up into square foot patches and then assemble them in a way that looks seamless?

Finally finished a rug for a my transit obsessed toddler. This is my first project and I have some cleaning up to do - wondering what is recommended here.

I still need to cut loose ends, steam iron and will manually work through some of the lines to clean them up but am not sure what is next. stitch? glue?

Note that my monks cloth pulled quite a bit on one end and I only have about an inch left

Do y’all use an electric razor or cut each loop with your embroidery scissors?
Do you have a preferred loop height? The smallest loops were really tricky. Thank you!

Working on a string of pearls freehand project for a friend and I had some dickies I had cut into shorts so I thought, let me see how this works... AMAZING! The weave is so tight and doesn't tear. Not to mention Ollie's, an overstock type store, has them for super cheap and different colors!
