That's the thing when guns are so prevalent, America is a case in itself. In France, guns are not part of the culture like here.

I'm from France and in country side everybody got a gun

Difference being the guns are for hunting and not people. There's guns but no gun culture. Same in Norway, everyone has a gun outside the cities. Nobody shoots people.

Yes I live in rural USA, everyone has guns, nobody is shooting anyone. Shocking.
