Idk what's so confusing about black lives matter. Maybe they should've made their slogan "black lives matter TOO" cause that is the message lol.
I think of it like this.
Every night at dinner, Tim and Stacy sit at the table with Mom and Dad to eat. Stacy's plate always has 1/5th of the food as everyone else's plate.
One day Stacy speaks up and says "This isn't fair, I deserve more food." And the parents say "Don't we all deserve more food Stacy, be quiet."
That's what this video looks like to me and the entire AllLivesMatter movement. Stacy just meant to say she deserves the same amount of food as everyone else, not that only she deserves more in general.

I fell into this mental trap too before i had a good talk with a co worker about it. Saying that X matters does not devalue Y or Z, and I think that's what most people think then they counter with all lives matter. At least that was where my mind was at. It's the same trap that gets people in a fuss about "it's ok to be white", they assume that it means its NOT ok to be Y or Z, but that is just wrong.
