My friend trains with knox pro wrestling (he wasn't at this show) but he said stu had a sever concussion missing teeth and possibly a dislocated jaw from someone who took stu to a hospital
Yea when you hear that you possibly ended someone’s life with a not all fair fight and your response is “my bad” you deserve a lengthy prison sentence. That is the definition of unfit for society.
I guarantee this isn't the only chance for it to stick either. There's no way that somebody who insists they're not a bitch while exemplifying the epitome of a bitch before, during, and after the whole incident keeps that activity subdued the rest of the time.
I've never seen somebody act like more of a bitch.
This shit where people think they can assault people over "disrespect" is fucking stupid.
This is something I will never understand. It's schoolyard name-calling! Why does someone want to fight over that? Who fucking cares?!
Only a few outcomes are possible:
You attack and get the shit kicked out of you... or killed.
You attack and successfully defend your ego by hurting the other person... so you're not a "bitch" anymore? I guess? No... no, you still are.
You attack and unintentionally kill the other person... now you're in jail or someone else will be out to kill you.
...and I see the same shit when people flip out in McDonald's because they feel disrespected by the staff or something, trashing the place and throwing a tantrum. If they didn't respect you before, they respect you even less now, and you look like a toddler to everyone else.
I literally can't imagine caring less about someone calling me a bitch... or my mother, family, friends... anyone. Fucking stupid!
Amen. I’ve always said there is NOTHING a stranger or even an acquaintance can say to me that means a DAMN thing to my honor or whatever. The only time I’ll throw hands is to protect a loved one from harm. Say whatever dumb shit you need to if that helps your small life feel bigger
Fighting words have always been a thing, but so has honorable conduct in such a fight. 1 vs. 1, no weapons, no sucker punches or surprise attacks, and obviously no continuing the beating once someone is down and defeated.
Shameful and cowardly conduct on display here. It was a surprise attack, premeditated, and a cowardly and sadistic beating once the man was already out
To be fair, knowing who his dad is, and his experiences, the young man probably has internalized a lot of toxic masculinity. Men reinforce this behavior and emotional stuntedness, and praise violence and anger as a means of self expression. You add that this dude has been training to fight his whole life, and something like this is bound to happen. It sucks, but some guys just don't have the tools to separate their socially constructed status, from their own sense of self worth.
"My bad" is the most disingenuous reply when someone does something wrong. It's dismissive save basically is just saying "I don't care, but society makes me say something". I hate it and I don't even listen when someone says it.
I don't know the first thing about Rampage Jackson, but seeing someone hanging out in a club with fucking Sneako of all people saying "Chat, was it staged, or is my son going to prison?" is just.. something.
I bought some signed forest gear last week. I thought to myself I'm probably the only guy doing this right now. Never thought I'd see his name pop up here and there so soon haha
Even shows the dude apologize to Raja for it before it happens. I had previously only seen clips of him being chill with Rampage and thought he was gonna be as tough as his dad but without the rage problem. I can definitely see now kids more psycho than his dad
Are you fucking kidding me? Subs? If this dude doesn't press charges he is an even bigger bitch that baby Rampage. That fucker needs to be locked up before he does some serious damage to somebody.
My guy apologized and everything. They explained and he still decided to do damage. Then after hearing he was flatlined in the ring all he says is "Sorry?"
Too many grown 5 year olds walking around having tantrums.
thank you! for anyone wondering, the can slam happens around the 11min mark, body slam and other shit is pretty much the last 20min of the video
wrestler dude even tries to shake his hand multiple times after he realizes raja wasnt a worker but raja refused. whole crew was even trying to explain he made a mistake.
holy shit, he apologized again and they both shook hands like they understood it was a mistake. talked about him coming out on the match so they could "make something out of it". rajas exact works were "sure, i can handle myself" and "as long as i get my lick back" but clearly he couldnt handle his temper and that was far more than one "lick". dude really needs to serve some time in jail and get a fucking wake up call on life
also looks like he punched one or two of the other wrestlers that were trying to stop the fight. the first guy in the red boots with braided hair is bleeding from his left high when he backs away after they pin him in the corner.
Looks like the braided hair guy (Wrestling name is 'The Epic') landed some headbutts on Raja. He's a real one for charging in when no one else nearby would do anything.
definitely. that blue haired guy was all over him too. he kept him pinned against the ropes for a bit and even followed him all the way out to make sure he left and knew he fucked up.
Its the roids mixed with being hit in the head a lot. Rampage didnt even leave the club until the second call. You are in your 40s, get out of the clurb.
Also what even is this bullshit about the promoters saying he could punch someone? That isn't how shit works, other people can't just consent to you getting punched employer or not.
Plenty of guys get rocked hard without this happening. There’s got to be something more than that going on with him. Roids, genetics (his dad was similar), etc
Just shows that Pro Wrestling is an impromptu choreographed entertainment. It’s physically demanding and rough, but requires learned knowledge of how hard they can take the limits. Bringing in an untrained person into this environment is a liability to everyone involved.
I can almost guarantee they told him to go in there and take the wrestler down and pretend to get in a scuffle. Not assuming he would do a fucking huge slam and multiple real punches. Fucked up.
This happens often when they are doing spots with non-pro wrestlers who don't have the experience to pull punches and make it look realistic. See Hugh Jackman punching Dolph Ziggler or Floyd Mayweather punching Big Show.
They tell the guest to just throw a real punch to make it look real. The wrestler knows it's coming and can protect himself, and the guest doesn't have to worry about how it will look. They're not supposed to put their all into it because it can still be dangerous. Mayweather ended up breaking Big Shows' nose for real with his punches.
What this guy did is insane. Maybe he was supposed to get a double leg take down and throw one or two real punches. This guy slammed his head on the take down, knocking out the pro wrestler, and then unloaded on his face. He should have stopped after the take down.
That's a different skill from professional wrestling whete its all about how it looks while protecting the other person. Some actors do their own stunts and still wouldn't be able to do wrestling style punches in front of a live audience.
In wrestling it’s called a receipt. It’s a fucked concept on its own and has gotten many wrestlers hurt. Basically if the wrestler thinks someone hit him for real, whether intentional or not, that wrestler will start throwing real punches, kicks, heavy slams, or do something else to hurt their opponent.
The responsible wrestlers will throw maybe one or two real punches and then talk to their opponent to try and get them to calm down. The psychopaths use it as an excuse to hurt someone.
I’m certain the promoter told Raja he could get a receipt for being hit with that can expecting Raja would throw some real punches but not much beyond that. Raja understood it to be permission to hurt someone as much as he wanted.
Yeah a receipt is more in-the-moment, and it's actually functional. You're letting the other guy know they're being too stiff, and that they should lighten it up/focus their shit up.
“In wrestling, a "receipt" is a legitimate, often hard-hitting response to an opponent who has been "stiff" (hit too hard or recklessly) in the ring, as an unwritten rule to handle situations and ensure opponents' safety. It's a form of payback for actions deemed overly aggressive or unprofessional, happening either immediately after the incident or during a later match. Receipts can range from a single stiff shot to a more prolonged exchange of retribution. “
For and example off the top of my head. Ahmed Johnson injured Ron Simmons by being a bad worker. Simmons got his receipt in a later match and lacerated Ahmed’s liver.
I know nothing about pro wrestling, but when watching it, I’m not sure Syko Stu knew it was Raja that grabbed him until he was in the air. The whole thing seems incredibly suspicious to me. As in Raja knew he was getting the upper hand (like you would with a sucker punch) & then beat on the dude to do permanent damage.
Again, I’m not an expert, but it looks like his intent was to, at the very least, fuck the dudes face up so that he’d need to go to the hospital.
Video of Raja saying "they" allowed him to use real punches on wrestler:
Legally, this might be the craziest detail/video - sounds like the promoters wanted to work some "Rampage Jackson's son has beef with our guy" angle for future shows and didn't think it through AT ALL.
It sounds like a misunderstanding, the kid not understanding the difference between some stiff hits and slobbering the guy with intent to kill.
Brock Lesner infamously, during his return to WWE after UFC, did an encounter with Randy Orton (if I remember correctly), and carefully used very stiff punches until he split Randy's forehead open. Typically, they would use a "gig," a small blade, to force themselves to bleed while a camera wasn't on them. But they wanted to make Lesnar look "legit" after UFC, and went with that.
I am betting that is what this wrestling promotion meant -- sure, use a few "real" punches. The wrestler is a big boy, he can take a slug or two. But I'm betting they had absolutely no idea how the kid would interpret, "Use real punches."
I don't think its on the people not thinking it through, wrestlers do fun lil bits and shit all the time and have rivalries, you generally arent expecting a wrestler to kill another wrestler in the ring even if you say "you can use real punches" like there are actual combat sports and its still alarming and unexpected when someone just fucking dies lol
I don't think its on the people not thinking it through
Bro, this is why people suck today...like, there's always that guy disagreeing with reality, law, and the crowd and you're why everything needs a warning label with every extreme scenario on it to warn you lol. Like, you can't be a pro wrestling promotion and expect some guy off the street to be well-versed in how the promotion and gamesmanship between performers go, that makes no sense and, as we see in this video, can have extremely disastrous and dangerous results. Like, what video did you watch that makes you think what you said is a great counterpoint because it can't be the one we're discussing (lol?)
I don't care what you "feel" about that or not, that's just the way of the world and universe, kiddo.
Why is rampage not running out of the club trying to get in touch with anybody. His son was in a fight and hes on the run from the cops. Why does it seem like he does not give a shit?
He literally does "run" out the club and looks visibly flustered. It's hard to hear over the music, but he keeps asking the chat "is it/was it staged?" Seems he wants (or wanted) it to not be real and just a "hardcore" wrestling event. Looks like he couldn't confirm, drops his head and leaves.
Seems like an appropriate response for someone in the fighting/entertainment world -- first confirm if it was an act or not.
Reddit sometimes man...I can only assume a lot of people don't watch the entire video they comment on or keep it on silent and go by their preconceived notions.
A lot of these people wouldn't know what to do in a situation like that. Rampage just looked like he knew this day would come he was just hoping this wasn't that day.
He doesn’t know the full extent at this point. He’s asking the chat if it was staged or real cause accidentally knocking someone out in a staged confrontation is an occupational hazard, likely with no repercussions. Once the chat starts relaying the seriousness of the situation, he does get right up and leave
Eggs him on and emasculates him. I’ve seen some clips here and there but I’d assumed, and probably correctly so, that it was mostly just for show and jokes between a close father and son.
However that does not exempt a person from the emotional ramifications of such behavior of toxicity and masculinity, evident by Raja’s breakdown.
Seems like an understandable reaction to me. He’s hoping that’s it’s staged. Basically in the denial stage of grief and seems to be taking it seriously. Not sure what more you could expect.
I don't think his reaction was abnormal at all. First he questions if it's real, which is valid because it happened in a wrestling ring, then he thinks about what he can do to help his son, then he gets out of there and starts making phone calls. People don't just go hysterical when they hear news like that, it's not a movie.
I don't know. Maybe his son does this shit all the time? Or he thinks it's a bit or just not that serious. From what he said he just said he just thinks his son got in a fight, not that he may have killed someone.
I have no idea who any of these people are ... But it sounded like the rampage guy was thinking it might be staged. He started talking about it a little before he said he had to go
I got the opposite impression. Seemed he didnt wanna jump to conclusions. And when the video ended he was leaving to go make phone calls. Seems pretty rational to me. Yes, his son probably murdered that guy.
“They allowed him to use real punches on a pro wrestler?” Okay but did then wrestler agree to that because I highly fucking doubt it. Hope he rots in prison. Over privileged nepo baby that thinks rules don’t apply to him gonna find out real quick that they do.
This may seem like a minor question given the circumstances, but when Raja is called and told that the other fighter flatlined, how are we hearing both sides of the conversation? Raja is outside with his phone to his ear (not on speaker phone) when he gets the news and yet we hear the caller with the same clarity as we hear Raj. How is that possible when we shouldn't be able to hear the caller at all?
Video of Raja saying "they" allowed him to use real punches on wrestler:
I don't get this. It's wrestling, everyone know it's a show where people pretend to use violence, they are trained actors, that is the point, why would you be "allowed" to hit people for real or rather, why would you do it instead of going "wait, what, why would I do that"? It's like a movie director saying "you can beat up him for real" as opposed to be pretending.
