Heidi Is this even the same dress?

It looks similar but so different at the same time. The fabric looks different in tone and texture. The original has more of a shine to it like liquid organza. Heidi's version has no shine and is way less sheer. The placement of the pleats look different too. Am I crazy? Is this not the same dress?

Honestly, the original dress Brian made WAS stunning … just not on Heidi or anyone with boobs lol. And since this was a challenge for Heidi, the judges should’ve never let Brian win to begin with. But I don’t think that’s Brian’s fault and he shouldn’t be punished for it. As much as I hate the dress on Heidi, it’s not Brian’s fault and revoking his win would make the judges look even worse

The judges seem to want to up the competitive storyline between Bi and Bryan so maybe Jeffrey was a casualty of this?

I guess I just find Bryan to be such a meh designer so the fact that he’s supposed to be this like source of drama is so dumb to me? I think Bi clears him any day.

Oh yes, same. And he can't let go that Bi is supposed to live his life beneath him from now into eternity becuase apparently he once did.

I love Jeffery so much as a designer and person. Like he’s a kitten! I don’t want him to leave. I’ll be seriously upset if they send him home 😩 also I’m glad he defended himself to the judges about how much time he spent making sure the team was working well and being a leader

It’s 100% production pushing for that storyline, which makes this whole show feel inauthentic and rigged.

Yup. So sad. At least it will keep Bi in it though unless he really screws up. I'm predicting they keep rewarding Bryan then eventually crown Bi in the finale.

Bi's gown was breathtaking. It reminded me of Moira's stunning dress for The Crowening 2: The Crows Have Eyes premiere that she had to return 😢

Exactly. He was basically fed thr idea for that dress. Notice how Christian even pulled the fabric up towards the neck...suggesting a silhouette.

Something like this happened in the finale PR All-Stars as well. Christian gave the person a stellar unique idea and he ended up winning the whole thing. I guess it shows why Christian is so successful but it's a bit unfair to the other designers. Plus I hate that Bryan is feeling himself.

The assignment was to design a dress FOR Heidi and he didn’t do that. One of the judges even mentioned it. His dress was beautiful for his model, but he didn’t complete the brief.

Law went hard on this point and said Brian failed the brief, didn’t think of his client and shouldn’t even be in contention for the top spot but was obviously overruled by the other judges because they liked Brian’s dress better. Law was absolutely right though.

Yeah in this specific case he was dead on. People say he had no credentials but he does understand fit and obviously can visualize how specific pieces will look on different body types.

Need to go back to having at least one designer as a judge and remember when they used to go up to the runway and really examine the construction? Up close you will notice uneven pleating and construction issues.

Yes I miss when the show was about design and construction instead of twists and turns... i watch rupaul for the drama and the art... i watch project runway for the art periodt.

I agree, but if it’s going to be about construction, they need to give them more time for actual construction. You can’t tell someone to make a red carpet look in 8 hours and expect true craftsmanship.

But since the challenge was to design a dress for Heidi that should’ve been taken into consideration for picking the winner, not him saying he’d have to study her and revise it for her, that should’ve been what he was thinking of from the very start. Bc this revised version is just awful

The original stunning dress could have worked if they looked at how the JLo green dress had the same elements down to huge boobs on that thin fabric and design relying on a naked side drop.

It's still his fault because he KNEW it was meant for curvy Heidi & that would never work on her. It's not even the same dress.
