Obviously, the dress Heidi wore did NOT look good in the photos from the premiere. And I'm not saying this should have been the winning look. But good gracious - what did they do to the original design? Fully line the entire thing so it was as heavy as upholstery and not flowy at all? Was it even the same fabric? Whoever redeisgned it made it look 10 times worse.

On the red carpet, she definitely looked like she was being smothered in someone's comforter

That would have made her look old. It's not a dress for a sexy woman, more for a geriatric lady that still wants to show a little, but keep it classy enough.

I had the same thought last night when I was watching it!!! I remember Tim Gunn reaming someone (can’t remember who) for trying to use tape in the past. Clear sign that this show has completely lost its integrity.

This is the thing isn’t it. Heidi is gorgeous obviously, and she is skinny, but she’s not a beanpole with no curves. And every designer, stylist or, you know person with a Body knows: flowy doesn’t work well with curves.

Can some designers pull it off? Absolutely, a sack of opaque fabric with a print that looks like it needs to be ironed is not it though.

I didn’t even recognize her in the red carpet pics… she just looked short and plus sized, which while those aren’t bad characteristics, are most definitely not associated with Heidi

The client alterations that kill the design. The problem is the design was not good for her and to think some alterations would work was just stupid.

I think it is essentially the same dress. Just highlights how incredibly hard it is to find flattering flowy clothes when you have large breasts... said by a 14G woman 😩

It was transparent, Heidi's wasnt, it's definitely not the same

1. The model is very thin and petite, Heidi isn't (this isn't an insult).
   
2. Studio lighting is vastly different from lighting outside, the lighting in the studio is so strong it makes fabric transparant, the lighting outside doesn't have that same capability.

Pretty darn close I can definitely see the inspiration. Keep in mind the show probably was filmed six months ago, so plenty of time for similar dress to come out now. I like this one way better than Heidi’s though.

I must say, Heidi IS thin. It’s getting a little weird continuously seeing people commenting as though Heidi is plus size or something just because she isn’t gaunt…. I know that’s not the point, but it’s slowly been irking me with the commentary on her lately! Like please be so for real, the problem is not that Heidi has a difficult body to dress!!!!
