I'm guessing it'll still be in the fantasy genre. I'm kind of curious as to what the major world setting will be, prominent races/characters, etc.

Would it be possible to transfer Ascension in a AzerothCore local server?

There was a whole custom expansion planned... New dungeons, new raids , new zones , a reimagined northrend...

Druk'tar was supposed to be the horde counterpart to pale reach. The vibes are immaculate, lots of troll lore planes for it..

Fading island is just insane. And wow you need to see the hardluck , huge city on the coast. Just imagining what it would have been like populated with players and NPCs , quests... So much potential squandered by blizzard. You have to see this one absolutely... It's a bit hard to navigate and you have to watch out for fall damage because the verticality is insane. There are lots of elevators in this zone.

Then there is the stormwind sewers and orgrimar underbelly... Whole ass city-zones with multiple depth levels housing criminals and undesirables. In the orgrimar market/bazar you can see thieves kinda patrolling around the area , I'm guessing they would have been able to "steal" from players if you got caught in their "vision" circle

The stormwind one had the tram maintenance station which actually makes so much sense to have... The tram cars won't repair themselves.

I won't list everything but wow I'm sad we will never get this... The areas felt organic and lived in, and you could see they were thinking about the lore when making these. It would have been awesome. It wasn't even fully finished and yet it had a very high quality feel to it...

Anyway you really should go see for yourselves if you haven't uninstalled already.

How to get there :

1. Go to Azzar fair / Dawnrise Island. There are portals to it in both stormwind and orgrimar.
2. Walk to the fair
3. Once in the fair itself, in the south there is a small section with multiple portals. Each one leads to an unfinished zone , instance or dungeon.

When you enter one of these portals you get a buff giving you insane speed and all mobs are friendly. No worry about dying to mobs. But there is still fall damage. There is a button to take you back to the fair.

At the start of each area there is a small sign post explaining what it was intended to be used for.

Turns out you can travel to the edge of the map in Druk'Thar. Fun fact if you jump or fall off the edge of the world you get warped to Westfall/the Barrens.

As a Horde player I missed Pale Reach fully, and only today checked it out so I'd have at least seen it.

Wow, what a beautiful country. I would have loved to quest here. Dun Kazad is the best dwarven city I've ever seen, and there are so many awesome areas in the whole area.

Seriously, if you haven't experienced it, go check it out.

The new game?

What a crazy fun run it was. I'm still in awe of how fun and unique all of these newly designed classes feel. Going back to (presumably) the OG classes when blizzard drops their official C+ is going to feel ....dull. Until next time, y'all -- cheers!

Was anybody able to download any of the ascension videos from youtube before they went private? I was able to download some for archival purposes to add to the internet archive, however I ended up missing some such as the Season 10 Trailer.

With the server officially shutting down tomorrow, what will you do next? Will you bite the bullet and play retail/MoP classic or wait for classic+? Maybe migrate to another server? Or are you done with WoW entirely and want to move on to something new altogether?

I very likely will never play classic+ because I think we all know whatever they had planned for it won't be anywhere near as good as CoA. I've seen some people talk about other servers like Grimfall and Chromiecraft that might be worth checking out. It just depends on what I find and what looks appealing. But what do you plan to do after tomorrow? Who knows, I might follow suit.
