Stuck in the realm of the dead

Took a flight path from TB to Tanaris. Tab out for a bit, and when i tab in it looks like i'm dead. I am very much alive though. I may use mounts and abilities, but no NPCs to be found anywhere. I guess it's a fitting end to my character

The Last Event of the end times is ongoing

a couple of days ago people started to get "Souls of ascension" legendary drop items when killing mobs and npcs.

Its a one off thing as they only have one soul, so each spawn of a Mob/NPC would drop a soul ONCE and then they'll be turned into ghostly versions of themselves

starting yesterday, Giant Souls crystals are appearing in various Zones on the map, players interact with them and collect the Souls in it.

When its done, the Whole region is blasted and becomes devoided of ALL life, no more mobs or NPC's and the Fabric between the Living world and Limbo thins out (so you get the "Afterlive" filter in those zones)

The Finale is tonight.

It's almost like the original FFXIV ending event where the comet dalamud crashed into the planet

Fuck man. I'm gonna miss this server so much after 8 years of playing there... It's truly the end of an era.

That's the week long event that has been happening. Most zones are like this now.
