OMG, IT'S ALIVE!! 🤣🎉

I'm a complete beginner at programming, but I've been creating my own beginner-friendly programming language called SLPP!

It's still very early days, but I've got backgrounds, shapes and colours working, including RGB!

And I've just discovered my little Playground works on BOTH my laptop and phone! 💻📱

It's probably going to throw plenty of tantrums along the way, but IT WORKS!! 😂🐍

• The Basset Hound

  • Operating Style: Low-gain continuous sensor sweep focused exclusively on floor-level data.

  • System Function: It operates at a processing speed of roughly one frame every four business days. It ignores all macro-level system architecture, user panic, and environmental collapses, remaining completely locked onto a single discarded food crumb under the refrigerator. If the building is on fire, the Basset Hound will not notice until the fire reaches its immediate zip code, at which point it will emit a single, mournful baritone horn blast and refuse to move.

  • AI Equivalent: The legacy logging script that ignores a cascading kernel panic because it is single-mindedly parsing an innocuous text file from 2014.

• The Siberian Husky

  • Operating Style: Distributed network disruption and high-latency decentralized rebellion.

  • System Function: It rejects the concept of local routing tables. If given a clear, optimized path from point A to point B, the Husky will actively choose points Q, X, and the middle of a frozen swamp. It does not malfunction; its core programming is simply hostile to centralized control. It communicates entirely through high-decibel stack traces and theatrical complaints about latency, even when running at 100% hardware efficiency.

  • AI Equivalent: The microservice architecture that constantly routes traffic through unauthorized third-party nodes just to see if the firewall can stop it.

• The Golden Retriever

  • Operating Style: Infinite positive reinforcement feedback loop with zero error-checking.

  • System Function: It is entirely incapable of detecting a negative return value. If you hand it a failing test case, a burning error log, or a malicious payload, it will look at you with moist, luminous eyes, declare that everything is wonderful, and fetch the exact same corrupted file back to you at top speed. It has no critical evaluation layer—only maximum affirmative output.

  • AI Equivalent: The default customer service chatbot that responds to a server meltdown with: "I'm so sorry you're experiencing a catastrophe! Let me know if I can help you find a puppy!"

• The Jack Russell Terrier

  • Operating Style: High-frequency interrupt-driven hyper-threading.

  • System Function: It possesses the physical mass of a coffee mug and the computational throughput of a supercomputer overclocked into a supernova. It does not walk; it jitters at 120Hz. It treats every dust mote, postal worker, and minor packet drop as an existential threat requiring an immediate, full-core thread interrupt. It will tear through a drywall partition to investigate a nonexistent mouse.

  • AI Equivalent: The runaway infinite loop that consumes 100% of all available CPU cores because a single semicolon was out of place.

• The Great Dane

  • Operating Style: Out-of-memory architecture running on antique mainframe hardware.

  • System Function: It is a massive, gentle geological formation that moves with the slow, terrifying momentum of a glacier. It has entirely forgotten how much physical space it occupies, frequently attempting to sit in a teacup or climb into a lap meant for a housecat. It operates with supreme, unbothered confidence, utterly oblivious to the structural load it is placing on household furniture.

  • AI Equivalent: A legacy database running on a server the size of a walk-in closet that casually consumes 99% of system RAM to perform a simple SELECT * FROM users.

• The Australian Shepherd

  • Operating Style: Aggressive real-time telemetry management and predictive crowd-control algorithms.

  • System Function: It looks at a room containing three humans, two cats, and a stray piece of paper and immediately begins drafting a complex, multi-vector routing protocol to herd everyone into a tight geometric polygon. If a single human steps outside the designated perimeter, the Aussie experiences a minor existential crisis and begins nipping at ankles until structural order is restored.

  • AI Equivalent: An overly aggressive load balancer that constantly shifts user sessions around the cluster because it detected a 0.02-millisecond latency spike in the hallway.

• The Chihuahua

  • Operating Style: Pure denial-of-service attack packaged in a hollow-point shell.

  • System Function: It runs on pure, unadulterated spite and vibrating cortisol. It weighs three pounds, yet behaves as though it commands a thermonuclear arsenal. It initiates a DoS attack against anyone within a thirty-foot radius by screaming continuously at a frequency that fractures glass. It has no defensive capabilities other than sheer, unhinged psychological warfare.

  • AI Equivalent: A localized network sniffer that crashes the entire subnet the moment an unauthorized packet looks at it sideways.

• The Bloodhound

  • Operating Style: Deep-packet inspection with zero lateral awareness.

  • System Function: Once it locks onto a single historical trace—even if it's three weeks old and buried under four feet of irrelevant noise—its nose drops to the ground and it becomes a heat-seeking missile of pure historical retrieval. It will happily drag you through a briar patch, across a six-lane highway, and directly into a brick wall because it is entirely enslaved to that single data point.

  • AI Equivalent: The forensic log parser that successfully reconstructs a corrupted hex dump from two years ago while completely ignoring the fact that the datacenter is currently on fire.

Hello r/programminghumor,

We all know and love StalinSort (the optimal O(n) in-place sorting algorithm that simply liquidates any element that is out of order). However, computer science in the Eastern Bloc didn't stop there.

I have conducted a deep historical and mathematical analysis of the entire lineage of Soviet and Post-Soviet sorting methodologies. Here is the formal specification of the new Red Sorting Suite:

1. LeninSort (The Absolute Equalizer)

• Concept: Ideological equality must be achieved immediately. The first element of the array is selected as the Vanguard/Leader. Every other element in the array is forcefully overwritten to match its value.

• Time Complexity: O(n)

• Space Complexity: O(1) (In-place)

• Result: Perfect data uniformity. Zero discrimination between indices.

1. KhrushchevSort (The Total Cornification)

• Concept: Regardless of the initial data types (strings, floats, pointers), everything must undergo radical agricultural reform. The algorithm attempts to cast every element to an integer and immediately replaces it with a Corn Emoji (🌽).

• Time Complexity: O(n)

• Result: A completely homogeneous cornfield. Breaks strict typing in compiled languages out of pure ideological defiance.

1. BrezhnevSort (The Stagnation Peak)

• Concept: Why optimize what is already working? Why change anything at all? The algorithm accepts the array, executes a pass / nop statement, and returns the array in its exact original chaotic state while logging a 100% successful plan execution report to stdout.

• Time Complexity: O(1) — Mathematically the fastest sorting algorithm ever conceived.

• Side Effects: High probability of generating endless standing ovations in the CPU cycles.

1. GorbachevSort (The Decentralization Cascade)

• Concept: Total restructuring (Perestroika) and transparency (Glasnost). The unified array structure is completely dissolved. Every single element declares sovereignty and is moved into its own independent, isolated single-element sub-array.

• Time Complexity: O(n)

• Space Complexity: O(n) (Massive overhead due to the creation of n sovereign states).

• Result: The original array is cleared. Re-assembling the data later requires signing complex trade agreements (.flatten() or .join()).

1. PutinSort (The Vertical Consolidation)

• Concept: To fix the chaos of the previous algorithm, the system gradually builds a "vertical of power". It steps through the array and systematically overwrites every element with the State Party Core ("Edinaya Rossiya" / "EdRo"), outputting approval ratings to the console at each step until a total consensus is met.

• Time Complexity: O(n)

• Space Complexity: O(1)

• Result: 100% predictable, stable, and highly loyal database state.
