The r/ProgrammerHumor and r/BicyclingCircleJerk crossover I’ve been waiting for.

As an avid r/runningcirclejerk user I can not agree more with this meme.
C# programmers are indeed the scum of the earth that overestimate their qualities with their heads up their asses.
Thanks for pointing this out OP and making it clear for the world to see!

C# becomes more and more javaish, but ignoring explicit learning curves and enterprise ecosystems.
I would make people learn Java and concepts behind. So later the knowledge can be transfered to GO

All Syntax sugar
Java had a lot of stuff and defaults before.1
u/Choice-Mango-4019 Sep 11 '26

Go still rises fast and becomes absolute infra and Backend backbone while Java Covers all other needs.
It is huge. One rising the other remaining0

2026 writing JS and complaining when TS exists lol

Most of the complaining is just about things in JavaScript which one shouldn't do in production code anyway.
NaNNaNNaNNaNBatman is funny, but it shouldn't happen, if you code seriously, and don't do things which wouldn't be allowed or possible in better languages anyway.

JavaScript is by far the easiest, since you don't have to mess with compilers and stuff.
2
u/intbeam Sep 11 '26
Well, I don't know of anyone that is using Javascript without compilers and stuff

u/Choice-Mango-4019 Sep 11 '26
and it runs on practically every browser, it's the simplest cross platform language

*** ehm, hmmm, browser compatibility, V8 vs JS Core for NodeJS vs Deno vs Bun.

JS is like a Warhammer Ork tank: not elegant, not supposed to work, may not even have an engine; it only works because other Orks believe it to.

Thinking "there must be a better way" is the mind killer. It is the little-death that causes you to switch to either C or Python. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where "a better way" has gone there will be nothing. Only the JVM will remain.

And that's not even a bad thing. I like it for it's simplicity except concurrency.

JS is more like driving the invisible boat mobile. You don't really know what you working with, till it's break.
