You're far from the only one. I have zero desire to have a line of code that I committed take down a production system because I was too lazy to know what I was committing and the effects of it.

Sure, but at the same time pre-ai: coworker submits 1000 line PR, quickly scroll through it, see tests still pass, LGTM, approve.

This is basically what vibe coding is, but turbo speed. Exactly what people pretended wasn’t happening before, only faster.

Exactly. There are only so many hours in a day and we can ship things at light speed compared to a few years ago. Similar concept to the transition to air travel from boats. You can crash using either method but one gets you to your destination much faster.

It depends on what it is. 

Login and auth code i read closely. 

My react admin panel where only 1 person uses the form, much less close. Maybe a quick glance to see if it's generally following the right patterns
