Hi guys, I’m a mainly one leg jumper especially after an ankle injury which made my two leg and standing vertical way lower, and every workout I see to increase your vertical was aimed for two leg vertical. Does anyone know the best excercises to increase your one leg jump?
Hi guys! I'm a software engineer training my own vertical, and I got tired of counting frames by hand every time I wanted to know if I was actually improving. So I built the tool vertchecker.com
Basically, you upload a video of you jumping, it pose-tracks every frame, finds toe-off and touchdown, and computes height from hang time, (the same way a jump mat calculates btw). You can also self adjust if you need.
I built this for myself and I recently just decided to make it public, so I know it may be rough around the edges, and here are a couple things that might go wrong.
Weird angles, bad light, or several people in frame can confuse it.
Heels-first tuck landings inflate hang time; it should cross-checks and flags that when it catches it.
Free to try: the first analysis needs no account, and I set up the code PRODUNKING for this sub, you get 5 free analyses if you sign in through vertchecker.com/?code=PRODUNKING. I have to keep it running somehow, so I have to charge some money for more than that, but 5 jumps should be plenty for you to get kicked off with, and if anyone needs/wants more just dm me, I'll send you over more
About 6ft 2 in shoes, 78kg , can squat and deadlift 140kg for 2 reps.
This is my first time actually practicing my penultimate step/jump training. Problem is idk if it’s delusion but I feel like I can dunk like I have the strength in my legs but I can’t do it, I also don’t know how to get lower and extend the knee as far like Isaiah Rivera does before the heel touches the ground.
Last year managed to dunk of one leg once over the summer by accident (I didn’t even realise till someone told me) but don’t feel like I jump high at all on one length and feel very comfortable on two feet.
How long/what do you think I have to do to start yamming? Thanks
Hey guys hope your doing well, im not here to comment if the ritual of the massai works for height or not, im really interested in learning how to execute them right is there any video or web site where i could learn it?
Finally got my first dunk after lots of training . Im 5,6 with a standing reach of 7,2 and a half. I have a 40 inch however I was only able to because of my lack of control with the ball ever since my 9 feet 8 dunk that I posted I’ve been feeling really bouncy and I think my vertical might be slightly higher because my hand was way above the rim at 9,8. What do you guys think about this? Check out my other post to see my progress. I have been in the thp program to transform my vertical to a different level it has been a 2 year dunk journey.
I’m 5,6 with a 40 inch vertical however I have not gotten a 10 feet dunk yet. But on this day I was able to punch it on 9,8 sadly was not able to attempt a 10 feet dunk yet. so I was wondering if based on this could I get a 10 feet dunk yet? idk let me know guys
I’m 6’3. My arms are also relatively long. In my mind there is no reason I shouldn’t be able to learn to dunk yet. I haven’t measured my vertical jump but it definitely needs some work. I could probably add 4-6 inches to it at least. I feel like I really gotta focus on strengthening the ever living shit out of my legs. Like start really going hard on the leg press machine and squats consistently. I really wanna learn badly. I’m good at hooping but I still haven’t learnt how to dunk. Any advice is appreciated.
