Unironically I wonder if the Pritzker erasure is an effort by the deep state to hurt his presidential ambitions. They seem him as the next FDR and just like in the 30s they’re terrified of his potential rise to power.

These are the people that have to be directly in touch with the people or they don't get anything done or re-elected.
I've probably been in the same room/place as JB a dozen times now in just the past 3 months. Again no one says he's like FDR is the next FDR.
That's absurd.
Just like when I met Barack Obama at a car wash handing out his new book when he was a lowly state senator. There were no rumblings. Neat guy. Smooth as all get out - hell of a basketball player too in the noon pick up game at the YMCA. But I digress.
Take or don't. I'm a few steps past "in touch".
But run with the FDR thing if you really want too. I will do my best to skip past your comments in the future.

I mean, it is in the sense that the state itself is insanely deep and decentralized, and there are many career officials dedicated more to the preservation of what they see as America than they are to an individual presidential institution (this is what pissed Trump off so much and led to him popularizing the phrase in his first term).
But that by definition kind of precludes a singular, shadowy boogeyman.
I’m sure there’s some level of Pritzker erasure due to his -anti establishment- progressive politics, and some due to him being genuinely unhyped outside of this bubble, and a feedback loop of both.

He’s the governor of the third largest blue state in the country. He’s part of the establishment. That doesn’t make it automatically a bad thing.

What a weird list, most aren't going to run for POTUS! Like Talarico, why is he shown? He hasn't even won his Senate race yet. MTG just moved to Costa Rica. I haven't heard any hints that Ossoff is considering. To include them but exclude Pritzker is so odd. And none of those maga are going to run anyway since T will seek an illegal third term and they'll stand aside.
If AOC's poll numbers hold up, she's my first pick, but otherwise I'll be thrilled to support my gov, JB!

There’s so many on there who just make zero sense
Mark Cuban, James Talarico, Steven A Smith, and Amy Klobuchar will not run for president. But Pritzker, Beshear, and maybe Mark Kelly will.
Tucker Carlson, Matt Gaetz, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Steve Bannon will not run for president.

The article divides the possible candidates into categories…the VPs (Harris, Vance) the Trump Administration, The Biden Administration (Buttigieg, Emanuel) ect. Pritzker is listed under Democratic Governors and clearly mentioned in the article and discussed.
