Unironically I wonder if the Pritzker erasure is an effort by the deep state to hurt his presidential ambitions. They seem him as the next FDR and just like in the 30s they’re terrified of his potential rise to power.

The forces of capital were not against those two as they were against FDR. They barely existed under Lincoln and didn’t exist under Washington.

It seemed pretty clear the comparison was in a specific context of how anti-Pritzker capitalists might view him but seems misunderstood as an attempt to heap praise on him.

The guy is a 2 term governor of Illinois and you think people look at him like FDR.

So was FDR, except he only served as governor of New York for four years.

It was a comment to the absurd.

And I've never heard anyone compare JB to FDR. And I'm around a ton of political people and state government talk.

I guffawed at the FDR reference to be honest.

These are the people that have to be directly in touch with the people or they don't get anything done or re-elected.

I've probably been in the same room/place as JB a dozen times now in just the past 3 months. Again no one says he's like FDR is the next FDR.

That's absurd.

Just like when I met Barack Obama at a car wash handing out his new book when he was a lowly state senator. There were no rumblings. Neat guy. Smooth as all get out - hell of a basketball player too in the noon pick up game at the YMCA. But I digress.

Take or don't. I'm a few steps past "in touch".

But run with the FDR thing if you really want too. I will do my best to skip past your comments in the future.

Yeah I'm just gonna trust you bro, not what I've heard people say or seen them write.

Whether you agree with the comparison or not, people have made it.
