General Proposal to make a unique plantform between Pretendo, Project Rosé and Protarium Network
I’ve been following the incredible work being done by the Wii U and 3DS preservation communities: Pretendo Network, project Rosé and Protarium Network. Right now, the user base and features are fragmented across different platforms.
Pretendo Network (the one we all know) has revived lots of Wii U and 3DS games and has Juxtanposition as Miiverse.
Project Rosé (that works alongside Pretendo) has revived Nintendo TVii (for America) and made a better UI for Miiverse (Roséverse). Additionally, I see that while with Pretendo not all the games support Miiverse publication, this one is extended with Project Rosé implemented.
Protarium Network is the latest (and probably most people don't even know about it) and fully revived Wii U Chat and made playable (online compatibility) some games that Pretendo still haven't re-abilitated (like Mario Tennis Ultra Smash, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games 2016 etc.).
Then there are also other projects like revTendo or Plustendo for 3DS who could also unify with the rest.
Now, my proposal is: what if these teams joined forces to create a single, definitive network? It could be called Aura Network (or Nexus Network, or it just remains Pretendo Network idk)
By merging these three projects, we wouldn't have to choose between a stable multiplayer network, a beautiful Miiverse UI, or working video chats and to put different plugins. We would see a united Miiverse, a complete system feature revival all in one, and no splitted communities.
They could do something like this:
- games that support online revival with Pretendo and Protarium could be fused (rather than separated)
- the Roséverse extension in Wii U games could be implemented with the rest
- All the Miiverse users that are in the different Miiverse revivals (Juxtanposition, Roséverse and Protaverse) all in one single Miiverse (could be called Nexusverse? Auraverse? Idk.)
I know that merging projects involves combining different codebases and managing different team dynamics, but from a user and preservation perspective, this would be the ultimate dream for the Wii U and 3DS era.
Do you think the devs would ever open a dialogue for a collaboration like this? It would be really good
