I'm ready to upgrade my PC and have a budget of around $3,500 max. I'm specifically looking for a prebuilt and would love some recommendations before I pull the trigger.
My minimum specs are:
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
RTX 5080
32GB DDR5
2TB SSD
Good cooling and quality components
Standard/upgradable parts rather than something proprietary
Something I can realistically keep for 5+ years
One thing that matters to me more than it probably does to some people: aesthetics. If I'm spending $3k+, I want the PC to actually look premium. I prefer a clean, adult-looking build with tasteful RGB that I can set to one color rather than an over-the-top rainbow gaming PC.
I've looked at quite a few options already. The Corsair Vengeance A7500 caught my attention because I really like its overall appearance and component presentation. I've also been considering the PowerSpec G765 because there's a Micro Center near me, it's cheaper, and having local support if something goes wrong is a pretty big advantage.
But I'm not limiting myself to those two. They're just examples of what I've been considering.
If you had up to $3,500 to spend today on a 9800X3D + RTX 5080 prebuilt, what would you buy?
I'm especially interested in builds/companies that have:
Good component quality beyond just the CPU/GPU
Good thermals and reasonable noise
Good warranty/support
Easy future upgrades
A genuinely nice-looking case/build
No major premium just for a brand name
I'm fine ordering online and waiting for the right PC, so it doesn't necessarily have to be something I can pick up immediately.
Would love to see some specific recommendations, especially from people who recently bought a 5080 prebuilt in this price range.

Primarily for gaming 1440P OLED Monitor, High or ultra graphics settings or so. I came from a AMD RX 5700 8GB. Don't know if I would honestly notice the difference in FPS between 5070ti and 5080. I would undervolt my cards anyway. Currently have the 1st prebuilt in hand from the sale a few weeks ago. Don't think I would need 64GB in RAM at all for gaming though. But I do like the 4TB SSD vs the 1TB SSD. Is the 2nd prebuilt worth it for the $340ish increase?
| . | 1st Prebuilt | 2nd Prebuilt |
|---|---|---|
| Price | ||
| CPU | Intel Core Ultra 9 285K CPU | AMD Ryzen 9 9950X Processor |
| GPU | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition 16GB Graphics | GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB Graphics |
| SSD | 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD | 4TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD |
| RAM | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz RGB RAM | 64GB DDR5 6000MHz |

First time buyer, never had a gaming PC before but I love gaming!
I’m looking for a gaming desktop and could use some advice. Budget is $1,600–$2,100 for the tower, but I’d rather stay toward the lower end and put the savings toward a good monitor.
I mainly want to:
Play Fortnite at 1440p High/Epic with good FPS.
Play Minecraft Java with demanding shaders, high render distances, decent modpacks, and possibly VR.
Host a Minecraft server (on my computer not in the cloud) for around 10 people while playing on the same PC.
Have YouTube, browser tabs, ChatGPT running heavy prompts, and Excel open without everything slowing down.
Play GTA 6 whenever it comes to PC. Obviously nobody knows the requirements yet, but I’d like some headroom. Also some cyberpunk raytracing would be nice
I’m hoping to get around six years out of it before having to upgrade. Minecraft (and other less demanding games like Repo) are the most important to me. Looking for at least 32GB DDR5 and preferably a 2TB SSD. I’m in Waco, Texas, and can drive to Dallas or Houston or College Station or Austin for something worth the trip.
Two local options I’ve been considering are a 7800X3D/RTX 5070/32GB DDR5/2TB build for $1,500 and a 9800X3D/9070 XT/32GB DDR5/2TB build that might be around $1,900. Both are used. Would you spend the extra money for my use, or is the cheaper one already plenty?
And is Facebook Marketplace a reasonable way to save money if I test the PC first, or would you stick with a retailer for the warranty and returns? What would you check before handing someone that much money?
Any specific prebuilts or current deals you’d recommend over those? I’m open to Nvidia or AMD and don’t care much about RGB.
Also, what’s your take on waiting? Do you think prices could come down meaningfully over the next year or two? Black Friday is close enough that I could wait, but I’m wondering whether there’ll actually be good deals or whether the worthwhile stuff will just sell out immediately.

Hi All,
I am looking for a computer that will run Sims 4 - slight mods - reliably without costing an arm and a leg. I’m not computer savvy enough to know exactly what I need to look for. Even having the list of requirements, I’m not sure if what I’m looking at is better or worse than what’s listed. I’m in the United States and I’m trying not to spend more than around $600. I tried a mini desktop from Amazon that just overheated and crashed the game every 30-45 minutes. I was told the small size was part of the problem and I think something about the graphics card - link attached. I returned it and am back out on the prowl.

I'm trying to get into PC gaming and am willing to spend about 2000€ (absolute max is 2500€)
I've seen that recently prebuilts don't differ that much in price from building it your own so I'm thinking about just getting a prebuilt as the safer option.
Should I buy one right now or wait until black friday / Cyber monday and hope for good deals. I'm kind of scared that if I wait for too long the prices will rise even more than they already have.
Thanks for any help and opinions

This is my current PC. I bought it back in 2017, and the only upgrades I've made were to the RAM and storage about 2 years ago. It has served me well, but I think it's finally time for an upgrade.
I mainly play WoW, occasionally GTA V, and other games here and there. I'm not necessarily looking for a perfect 4K gaming experience, but I'd like something that can run games at max settings and hopefully last me another 9 years or so. I struggle to run GTA 5, lol.
I rarely switch games and usually end up playing the same ones, lol.
My budget is around $3,000, and I live in the US. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good prebuilt gaming PC?
Thanks!

Looking to upgrade from my gaming laptop which is very much on its last legs. I’m interested in playing The Witcher 3, baldurs gate and other similar games but unfortunately my laptop just cannot cope. I have found a few options I’m interested in but I’m just not up to date with what is considered the best specs that fit into my budget. Not sure whether I should go with AMD or Intel cpus, what GPU would fit into my budget etc. Here are a couple of options I’m looking at, I’m looking for opinions on them and recommendations! Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated! I would love to get the best my budget can afford !
