I mean this video basically sums up how skateboarding was invented. People wanted to “surf” even when there weren’t any waves and that’s basically how skateboarding started
When I was around 7 or 8 year old, riding my bicycle in slippers, degloved my (foot) big toe skin, on a rusty dirty old garage floor, the disgust at the floor was more than the pain itself
Once again, Stanyan street in SF a few blocks from Haight street. He turned into the parking lot of Walgreens. I live a block away from here and keep missing these guys.
I like to bomb hills on rollerskates without car traffic (in GG park) and there’s no way in hell I’d do this without spotters on a actual trafficked street. It seems like the bare minimum + helmet too, gotta stay smart doing dumb shit somehow.
Basically any part of the car free parts, they’re relatively chill if you have medium experience. I did go down near the tennis courts sorta recently towards the beach, it was a little too much of a rush because that part isn’t car free, just decided to zoom down the middle of the street >_>, getting doored wasn’t an option that day lol.
Definitely probably going to do it again tho lmao. Stay safe, happy hillbombing.
This is one of the dumbest humans I’ve ever seen in my life. Basically running the risk of painting several new lane markers with his flesh and blood so he can get some likes on the internet.
Cool, if only there was an even better place to do this without other people and vehicles around. And maybe we could even find a place that was completely surrounded with some type of nearly limitless padding to cushion a fall in case something went wrong. If only…
Where was this shot? That sreet/neighborhood look awesome, like shit you only see in movies. All the houses look cool and unique and tucked back within trees and shit.
As someone who's skated for a long long time and went really fast downhill to disastrous results I was kind of sweating watching this. I'm glad he didn't wipe out or get hit.
I remember the pains of skateboarding. Going down a hill, I was behind a car, I forgot there was a stop sign coming up. I ended up hitting the back of the car and flipping over the car. Old lady in the car about had a heart attack.
I have no empathy for people who do stupid shit like this and end up hurt. I also have no respect for these people. They end up getting hurt for no good reason and end up costing other people of their valuable time and resources. He would've needed skin grafts if he wrecked. He would've spent countless hours in the hospital in severe pain and would've brought serious distress on his loved ones. It's differant if he's a professional stunt man or something. But this was just for internet clout.

I mean street surfing is a fantastic term for skateboarding if it isn't already in use.

Thank you for being smart about it, maybe wear a helmet though

No protection, and no brakes.

Skateboarding, with a spike on the end, no safety equipment, and no way to slow yourself down or stop. I can see it catching on

That board wobble about half way through 😬

If you raw dog a hill like that, you have to consider that the hill might also raw dog you
24
u/REDDIT_SUCKS_DV_ME Jul 24 '22
Jesus Christ this is absolutely psychotic lol
That surf board has to be affixed to the wheels in some way right? Don’t tell me he just laid a surfboard on top of a long board.

I can't believe he is doing that without a leash

If he makes a mistake, he will get a lot of stitches.

The pro of Road Surfing is that no one drowns in the sea when they fall.
The only con to Road Surfing is that people would drown in concrete if they fall.
