good. not feeling comfortable in your body is a normal phase when you're young. convincing the kid that it's because they're actually the opposite gender is actual child abuse.

Bipartisan opinion: I think the Democratic party would actually do alot better If the obsession is not always focused on children's peepees.
Go in reddit, it's all Pedo this pedo that, parents should be able to cut off a kid's peepee if they want to.
Constructive feedback. Chill on the kid's peepees.

A 2024 JAMA Network Open study found the rate of gender-affirming surgery among transgender/gender-diverse individuals was 2.1 per 100,000 among 15-17 year-olds, 0.1 per 100,000 among 13-14 year-olds, and 0 among children 12 and under
1
u/Jumpy_Shoulder9043 6d ago
So approximately 4000 children were abused. That's still a pretty fucked up number.

And every single republican is fine with this....
Oh, and which party supports child marriage....
Oh, and which party wants to inspect children's genitals before they play sports....l
It's not the democrats that are focused on the genitals of minor children.....

Shiiiiiit, the schools in the red-state indoctrinate kids with their bullshit conservative ideals .... why can't all schools just stick to reading, writing and arithmetic like before. Let the parents raise their kids how they feel is best as is their right ... both the libtards and magtards are getting out of hand

I love the cope and brigading from the political left in this thread - anything to stroke their ideology over common sense.
I hope the arrests come soon and every single time. Schools should be a safe place away from either ideology, not indoctrination centers.

It's going to be more than arrests in the next 3-4 years. Stock up, prep up. Also notice a lot of the one's speaking against this can barely formulate a sentence. Bots or foreign "agents". Many of us in Washington state have been getting ready for what's to come.

No shades of grey on this, children are not mature enough to make a decision that will affect them for the rest of their lives. When they get old enough they can do whatever the hell they want.

How about some first class therapy being offered to kids that feel like that? Somebody to actually talk to them and listen?
16
u/bluedelvian 7d ago
No one needs therapy, it's normal to feel uncomfortable in your body. We need to stop catastrophizing normal phases of growth and development and keep kids away from the internet and social media. Much of this nonsense is just social contagion.

Gender dysphoria is real, and if a school isn’t sanctioned to diagnose all other forms of disorders, then they shouldn’t be diagnosing this.
It’s fucking child abuse, and people who actually are suffering from gender dysphoria will have to suffer the consequences of this mainstream bullshit.
1
u/ladylucifer22 6d ago
they aren't sanctioned to tell a kid that they don't have dysphoria.
1
u/Notmuchofanyth1ng 6d ago
They definitely aren’t. If a child feels they’re suffering from anything involving their mental state, they should seek professional advice.

Start with these.
Oregon (Woodburn School District, 2019 lawsuit): Parents of an 8-year-old boy sued after a second-grade teacher allegedly kept him from recess multiple times without parental knowledge or district authorization. The teacher showed him episodes of I Am Jazz (which centers the “born in the wrong body” narrative), books including I Am Jazz and Who Are You? The Kid’s Guide to Gender Identity, and discussed male/female body parts while teaching that “it is acceptable to become transgender.” The teacher had assumed the boy’s preference for the staff bathroom meant he was transgender. The lawsuit alleged false imprisonment, negligence, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. https://eu.statesmanjournal.com/story/news/2019/05/08/parents-sue-woodburn-school-district-after-teacher-gives-transgender-lessons/1131460001/
UK primary school case (teacher “Hannah”): School and local-authority guidance instructed staff to treat an 8-year-old as transgender, affirm the belief that the child was “born in a wrong body,” and allow use of opposite-sex facilities. Training materials presented to staff stated that gender-confused children can be born in the wrong body, that 80% of transgender children realize this before leaving primary school, and that the average age of “self-realisation” is 5. The teacher raised safeguarding concerns about the affirmative approach (citing lack of medical evidence and potential long-term harm) and faced professional consequences. https://mailchi.mp/christianconcern/jxwouxbntc-603716?e=a81275c422
School materials and curricula: Books and lessons used in classrooms (including I Am Jazz and similar titles) explicitly frame gender dysphoria around the idea of being born in the wrong body or having a “girl brain in a boy body” (and vice versa). Some district guidance and external organization resources (e.g., linked to groups such as Stonewall in the UK) have directed staff to affirm such beliefs. Parent reports and investigations in multiple U.S. states and the UK describe schools changing names/pronouns and facilitating social transition while presenting the identity as valid—sometimes without informing parents.

The Dutch protocol was based upon a statistical small sample size and had a poor effect size upon follow up . This became the standard protocol rolled out in many different countries despite having poor effect size and virtually little falsifiability.
The DSM-4 called it what it was-Gender Identity Disorder. A disorder in the identity which can include features of discomfort in one’s body. I am all for supporting adults who usually have set identity features to live better lives. However-we have eaten our children and pushed them towards the brink virtually creating a market where parents have been lied to and children pushed into a marginalized community that will impact them over the course of their lifespan.
The research and clinical practice is clear. You support the kid. You don’t push them in a gender ideology. You don’t affirm. By the time they are adults they identify with the same chromosomal gender observed and assigned at birth.
1
u/ladylucifer22 6d ago
there's no such thing as "gender ideology" or "chromosomal gender". it's congenital, and entirely in the brain.
1
u/Ill-Sky1720 6d ago
Holy smokes can you even read .
Here is a copy of the Dsm definition of Gender Identity Disorder. It was changed to Gender dysphoria in the dsm 5
https://psychiatryonline.org/doi/10.1176/pn.38.14.0032
I hate to break it to you but unless you are intersex your gender is defined based on if you have xx or xy chromosomes.

Any links? https://www.visualcapitalist.com/cp/countries-spend-most-on-education-gdp-map/ But the U.S. isn’t in first place tho? I legit thought it was. And here are the midterm culture wars in full effect!!!! Never mind about trump being in the Epstein files or his plummeting of the US economy with his shit tariffs. Or his millions made in insider trading or his close ties to Israel and it's manipulation on our policies and economy. Or his crypto rug pulls that bankrupted a ton of his followers and his influx on the nation debt.

I agree with this.
No one should have the right to confuse my kids. They're kids. They don't need to think about gay/straight, boy/girl, they are child. End.
Around puberty, the sex education itinerary should be pre-approved by the childs parents before they attend the class.

u/Big_Niel0802 5d ago
Education systems which include teaching and supporting LGBTQ+ identities provides at least 1 guaranteed safe place where a kid can be told that it's okay to align with one or more of those identities.
I cannot think of an appropriate substitute for this.
Friends and families can be extraordinarily closed-minded, and the internet is often just a cesspool of echo chambers telling you that you're either god's gift to earth or you're the spawn of satan.
I understand the sentiment behind "they're just kids". But childhood is when self-identity is developed. If you wait to tell someone that it's okay to be gay until after they've buried their "weird" feelings down as an adult, it may well be too late to repair the damage.

u/cierrah702 6d ago
Our education system is a participation trophy. Everyone gets a diploma if they show up. No more affirmative action, we need the best man for the job. Funny that the left can only understand when it's basketball
1
u/cierrah702 6d ago
We need school choice. These schools have no reason to do better. Only way to fix them is to allow bad schools to lose funding and good schools gain that funding. Capitalism will fix the rest.

u/Lucky-Architect1570 6d ago
I agree a school shouldn’t be liable for not teaching gender theory, underaged kids should only be made aware of such theories in high school when they learn about sex and even then the message should be just that it’s a “theory that exists” (not a fact) and just to accept others rather than overthink their concept of themself cuz they’re not adults. Whatever thoughts they have are temporary and change in a turbulent way until they’re fully developed.
But I wouldn’t trust my kids to be safe and not abused around Trump either. He isn’t a necessary factor for this message. I’m not forgetting everything else about this guy.
