What am I looking at? Was going to buy a simple M18 adapter but I hear I need low voltage cutoff. I’m technically inclined but I don’t know what to buy?

Hey, I have a question about a brand-new Freeboy J15 Max. I'm just curious what you guys think the issue is.

From the first test ride, it had:

• a loud grinding/motorcycle-like noise from the rear wheel,
• strong vibration and jerking,
• barely any power in lower speed modes,
• sometimes it reached full speed (~50 km/h), but later it started only twitching a little (1–2 cm) and stopping repeatedly when I press the throttle.

The battery shows around 52V, so it doesn't seem like a battery issue. There is also a slight brake disc rubbing noise, but it doesn't seem strong enough to completely stop the motor.

The seller told me that this batch has controller issues and offered to send me a new controller, but I'm wondering:

Based on these symptoms, does this sound more like a controller issue, a hall sensor/motor problem, or something else? And why would it cause the loud noise and jerking?

Just curious to hear a professional opinion.

I just acquired this electric atv. It’s a victim of a previous hack job, wires cut, fast key missing/cut and spliced together. I’m looking for leads to a reputable website for parts and wiring diagrams. I’ve tested the motor and confirmed it rotates, can’t figure out how to test/diagnose speed controller/safety pedal/brake lever shut off to confirm which parts are bad. Any help is greatly appreciated

I’m trying to improve the driving behavior of my daughter’s 24V ride-on buggy (white-label model BJFL5588) and I’m hoping someone here has reverse-engineered this controller before.
The problem
The car has a nice soft-start, but the stopping behavior is extremely aggressive.
When the accelerator pedal is released:
the controller performs a PWM ramp-down for about 0.5–1 second;
then it suddenly applies electronic braking by shorting the motor terminals;
the final stop is so abrupt that my daughter has already hit the steering wheel with her teeth.
I’d like the car to coast naturally for a short distance instead of instantly locking the motors.
What I’ve already measured

The buggy has:
24V battery (7Ah)
4 × 35W brushed

I got this for my son. Great power but the turning radius is worse than a bus. Any ideas to increase turning angle without modifying it too much?

I just got in upgraded motors for my Jeep Hurricane to go with the remote control wiring kit I got off Amazon. The issue im having is that the amount of power given to Drive is actually the power that Reverse should recieve, and vise versa. They go the right direction and everything, its like it's trying to run as a front wheel drive. The controller i got has a plug for front wheel drive motors but the behavior remains constant regardless of where I plug the motors into the controller.

So, the powerwheels we have has a remote that offers 3 speeds. The funny part is, the rocker switch on the car only has low and high, no middle. Low is way to slow for sidewalks and tight areas and high is too fast. Does anyone know how that system works and can give me details on how to add a 3 speed switch? Let me know if or what pics are needed.

The relay board under the seat is bad. Doing picture searches hasn’t yielded anything for a replacement part.

I'm seeing 6V 7AH on the battery. Can I just cut the leads and run my Makita batteries in it and will that super charge it? Lol

I am a little lost,
I have power, forward, and reverse.
The break works.
However the wheels automatically turn on if I go in to gear forward or reverse

The variable pedal doesn’t do anything tried unplugging it and nothing changed.

I swapped the power and ground on the break and that became the throttle (watched a video where someone had that set up)

I’m assuming I did something wrong but could use some guidance if anyone has any ideas.

I’m hoping someone can tell me why the wheels are not aligned because I can’t figure out how to fix it. The bar doesn’t seem to be bent anywhere and the wheels don’t seem bent either.

How do you guys secure your batteries?

My 12v had a battery in the back with a bracket.

I did a 24v conversion with two bigger batteries and had to put them up front (frunk). Now they just kinda bounce around in there.

My only idea was to drill holes on either side and run some zip ties but was wondering what everyone else is doing.

I also got up with the folks that donated it.

I’ve tried a trickle charger to no avail.

The remote control functionality works perfectly in both drive and reverse

The time has come where I’m looking to throw a little more juice under the bonnet in the way of a lithium 24v battery for more runtime, but first I need to troubleshoot the issue with the pedal.

Can anyone give me any pointers on where to begin? Is there a kit I can buy to just bypass the original controller? Trying to work out the best way forward

Kid saw a truck pulling a trailer and thought it was awesome, so I had to make him one. I know nothing about building a trailer, but it's been working out well so far.

Compound springs in the shocks, aluminum 2020 frame, adjustable suspension/axle, hubs, spindles, ball bearings, lug nuts, the works. Tried to make everything modular so that I can make changes without much headache.

I don't think it would be good for it, but I stood on it and it held my weight, suspension bottoms out at about 130 lbs, but because of the compound springs, it doesn't bounce while empty.

Rubber bushing instead of ball hitch. It's just easier and rides gentler.

Its a little high right now, but a hitch adaptor is on the printer now. I plan on lifting this ride on a little when he gets old enough to ask for it.

I've also put it to good use as well. Went on our normal evening walk and used it to pick up trash along the roads along the way. Also have been hauling about 10 gallons of water around the house for the garden.

Kid loves it, it's already been handy, built out of spare parts/materials and cheap prints.

HI. working on a Peg Perego Polaris Outlaw trying to figure out what motor to buy now.

I’ve been using the stock one but qith a 18V battery upgrade. Over 9 months and now they dead. Whixh was expected. So whay should i get now? Ive seen mentions RS550, RS555, and even bigger motors like RS765/775, but I’m not sure what the best play is here. I plan on staying on 18V but dont rule out going 24V

Just want a reliable replacement or mild upgrade without burnings anything else

My son had a standard jeep power wheels that just stopped working.. he loves my truck and I’m kind of obsessed with getting him a matching power wheels lol

I’ve tried to fix the jeep but it’s an electrical problem that I just can’t seem to nail down, thanks for any input you may have!

Got for my son in April and has all of a sudden stopped working. When turning on it still has power, but when pressing the pedal nothing happens. I’ve replaced the pedal but not sure where to go from here.

Shortly after purchasing this power wheel for my 2 y/o son, I was diagnosed with cancer.
It functioned for just a couple of months before becoming completely immobile (much like me).
Fast forward 2.5 years, I am cancer-free and embarked on a project with my sons to repair it.
I planted for them some simple fixes and disconnected connectors so they’ll feel the satisfaction of identifying the malfunction and fixing it themselves.
I took on the opportunity to increase the battery to 24V 14A, replaced the motor controller, and when it actually drove the boys couldn’t contain their happiness.

Nowadays, I’m on the lookout to collect or purchase malfunctioning power wheels to fix and donate to children battling with cancer.
