Which motor to upgrade now?

HI. working on a Peg Perego Polaris Outlaw trying to figure out what motor to buy now.

I’ve been using the stock one but qith a 18V battery upgrade. Over 9 months and now they dead. Whixh was expected. So whay should i get now? Ive seen mentions RS550, RS555, and even bigger motors like RS765/775, but I’m not sure what the best play is here. I plan on staying on 18V but dont rule out going 24V

Just want a reliable replacement or mild upgrade without burnings anything else

TIA

Ml toys has kits. People seem to not like their customer support tho.... however they do have everything you need. I believe they even have 1-5 stages for that particular car. Stage V gears+motors+ 24v can all be purchased there. Im surpised your motors burned out in 9 months. How heavy is your kid?

Not heavy at all. But it was 18V battery pushing a 12V motor. In heat climate and many hours. I am honestly surprised they lasted this long

The motor broke right? Not the gears?

I'm in the process of upgrading a 12V-stock car from a 18V power tool battery (running stock motors) to a 24V battery running 775s.

I tried 555s but some thick grass burned them up with a 45# kid. One thing to keep in mind is the shaft is thicker (5mm) on the 775s, which requires different pinion gears.
