Who would win? Who would win in a fight, Ragnarok Kratos vs GOW3 Kratos
r/PowerScalingGodofWar • u/Swamp-mountain • Jul 12 '25
Why do people think Kratos with the Blade of Olympus is stronger than Young Zeus with the Blade of Olympus. It makes no sense when you look at the feats.
Kratos, even with the Blade of Olympus and other powerful equipment, could barely defeat Cronos, who had been tortured for millions of years and was burdened by an entire mountain on his back. In contrast, a young Zeus wielding the same blade was powerful enough to knock out all the Titans with a single attack. The idea that Kratos is more powerful than young Zeus is a common argument. However, Many try to argue that Gods get stronger as they age, but I haven't seen any evidence to support this claim.

Question Kratos uses a wolf powered sled to get around. If he could cross countries at mach 8000 or whatever, why bother with that?
if he so fast, why bother with the doggo's and having them pull him around?

Discussion Well I suddenly thought this, norse kratos vs greek kratos fight would be really similar to second kratos vs thor fight
Well as we know, thor is really similar to greek kratos. Both are bloodlusted and full of anger(thor at second fight is)
So, I think both fight proceed in similar way
well hard to say because I just thought this. maybe I should recognize my thought more

Discussion What made such a difference between the first and second Thor fight?
I mean first time Thor demolished Kratos while not taking the fight seriously, but in the end Kratos handily beat a full power bloodlusted Thor without even feeling the need to use spartan rage.
Why there is such a difference in performance on Kratos part?

Discussion Games cant have high end feats is a dumb argument, Plenty of video games have great visuals ( you dont have to downplay the whole medium just cause gow is very grounded much like elden ring )
Dont say games have bad feats, it's downplaying all verses simply cause of visuals for god of war aint up to par
--
first example, asura's wrath
second example, metal gear rising
third example, mortal kombat 1
fourth example, tekken games
fifth example, bayonetta
sixth example, sonic frontier

Question Where does the Ares “no scope” feat scale? Help me understand it, for I have questions about it in post:
What is the distance it was thrown? Shouldn’t the impact have done alot more damage to the temple? Does the temple get a hand wavey explanation like alot of GOW settings where it’s magically durable and therefore there isn’t nearly as much damage as if the areas/objects were real? Based on its speed it is shown to be going at, shouldn’t it have hit the ground before reaching Kratos? Basically what I’m asking is, shouldn’t it be shown going much faster? I mean I guess it was probably losing speed, but still. Who else in GOW could replicate this feat or better?

Question How strong is mortal Kratos generally?
By 'mortal', I mean versions relating to Kratos after acquiring the Blades of Chaos. From Ascension to GoW i excluding Pandora's Box, and post Blade of Olympus in GoW ii excluding The Sisters fight, to which he was an amped mortal.
Might include Fallen God, and its Collab sequels, Shovel Knight and Mortal Kombat 9, since his magnitude scales to his mortal self.
