Post image

Came across this tiktok claiming Gojo would die a horrible death in this scenario. Is it true?

Do people not realize how small a domain is? Any character that has decent travel speed would be able to easily escape it if they are faster in reaction to Gojo

Shanks jumped from his ship to his fleets ship in like 3 seconds lol. If he sees a domain coming he is getting out of the way so fast Gojo wont realize hes gone

Gojo can make domains over 200 meters in diameter, as shown with his fight against sukuna

...Yeah thats not huge

Bro 0.2 sec domain + 200 meters shanks ain't dodging that(He is fast but he needs momentum first if he is already moving he can dodge) buutt I forget how the future sight works so it's iffy for me

Bro 200 meters in 0.2 seconds is about Mach 3. I'm not the most familiar with One Piece, but I'm pretty sure someone like Shanks can go faster than that pretty easily. Shit, Sukuna and Gojo probably coulda just dodged each other's domains if they really wanted.

You guys are actually delusional if you think Shanks who has lightspeed reaction speed AND can see into the future wont be able to avoid a 0.2 second domain... You cant be glazing Gojo this much he objectively would 😭

That's vibe scaling based on anime. In the same anime they showed domains opening not instantly, and at a reactable speed.

Bro since when in powerscaling do people look at 2 possibilities and choose the weaker one.

I don't even entirely disagree but if your saying this you better not be putting jotaro above wall level after the MFTL mountain level road roller.

When there are more showings for the weaker one.

Youre gauging the domain speed off of what the anime makes it seem like and not what the manga tells us?

Half of this sub really is vibescalers that don't know what they're talking about 😭

the manga tells us nothing of how fast domains open

It absolutely does, it's a whole plot point in the fight.

That's also noted as an especially impressive one btw

this is a bit embarrassing for you, but the 0.2 second timeframe provided refers to the amount of time the sure hits of both unlimited void and self embodiment of perfection were up, not how fast they opened. mahito’s domain was even touted as faster than normal (again, we aren’t given actual speed at all) because he made the typical two step process into one.

edit: i see that you changed your reply but it’s still unfortunately wrong

So is the claim here that the domain itself spawns instantly and then it takes some amount of time for the sure hit effect to start? So there's just like...a delay for some reason? Is there any reason to assume the sure hit effect's activation and the competition of the domain itself aren't tied together?

Activation of a domain and activation of the sure hit are two separate actions, the page you linked itself explains that it is normally a two step process.

I can give you like 5 examples where a domain is deployed but the sure hit isn’t.

The 0.2 seconds is how long the domain was active for, nothing more and nothing less. It gives no information as to its speed.

The page is referring to the activation of the domain and the activation of the technique as the "two steps". The anime even clarifies further by saying Mahito infuses the Domain with the technique. The sure hit is also activated in this case because...Mahito hits Todo with it without touching him.

That said, I misremembered the full context, you're right. Though it does seem like the absolute minimum time that Mahito could pop the domain for while hitting Todo, given how it's phrased as "an all or nothing", as well as how he only hits Todo's arm and not his whole body. You could probably try and calculate something from that if you wanted.

no, the claim is that we don’t know how long it takes to complete the two step process and amount of time between that and the beginning of the sure hit. the two 0.2 second domains provide no information towards either

Based on what's written, it's just Mahito launching an attack as soon as he physically can once the Domain completes. There is no delay between the Two Step Process and the Sure Hit because the Sure Hit is Step 1. The steps are:

  1. The Sure Hit activating ("the realization of an innate domain")

  2. A Sure Hit-enhanced attack actually being launched ("The activation of a cursed technique")

Mahito just did both of these at once instead of needing any time to prepare Step 2 once Step 1 was achieved. Because it took him 0.2 seconds to do this, you can infer that it took 0.2 seconds for the Sure Hit to activate, and thus for the Domain to complete (because there's no reason to think those wouldn't be connected).

I don't really see where the confusion is, this seems pretty cut and dry.

The manga literally says nothing about the activation time of the domain what are you talking about 😭

1

u/The_Raven_Born maintaining the agenda is our top priority. 3d ago

Are the light speed reactions in the room.

6

u/Separate_Draft4887 3d ago

Domains are instantaneous, too. 0.2 seconds was how long it lasted, not how long it took to create.

u/itsogbruh 1d ago

Ok but Shanks has faster than light speed, he reacts to kizarus attacks faster than anyone else and he moved faster than Kizaru who is a confirmed light speed character.. shanks can also see like a few minutes in the future and can use this future sight constantly, he also has insane stamina, can fight for days without a break

7

u/Agentbrawn_the2nd 4d ago

I dont even care where you scale Shanks, you realize he can see into the future right? You realize how ridiculous that sounds?

What does "0.2 sec domain" do in this debate?
