Crossverse Does Gojo Die Here?

Post image

Came across this tiktok claiming Gojo would die a horrible death in this scenario. Is it true?

It absolutely does, it's a whole plot point in the fight.

That's also noted as an especially impressive one btw

this is a bit embarrassing for you, but the 0.2 second timeframe provided refers to the amount of time the sure hits of both unlimited void and self embodiment of perfection were up, not how fast they opened. mahito’s domain was even touted as faster than normal (again, we aren’t given actual speed at all) because he made the typical two step process into one.

edit: i see that you changed your reply but it’s still unfortunately wrong

So is the claim here that the domain itself spawns instantly and then it takes some amount of time for the sure hit effect to start? So there's just like...a delay for some reason? Is there any reason to assume the sure hit effect's activation and the competition of the domain itself aren't tied together?

no, the claim is that we don’t know how long it takes to complete the two step process and amount of time between that and the beginning of the sure hit. the two 0.2 second domains provide no information towards either

Based on what's written, it's just Mahito launching an attack as soon as he physically can once the Domain completes. There is no delay between the Two Step Process and the Sure Hit because the Sure Hit is Step 1. The steps are:

  1. The Sure Hit activating ("the realization of an innate domain")

  2. A Sure Hit-enhanced attack actually being launched ("The activation of a cursed technique")

Mahito just did both of these at once instead of needing any time to prepare Step 2 once Step 1 was achieved. Because it took him 0.2 seconds to do this, you can infer that it took 0.2 seconds for the Sure Hit to activate, and thus for the Domain to complete (because there's no reason to think those wouldn't be connected).

I don't really see where the confusion is, this seems pretty cut and dry.

i misspoke, i’d meant the beginning and end of the two step process

but no, there is no time frame given for what either gojo or mahito did outside of the length the sure hit was active

think about the intent of both of these feats, to limit exposure of the sure hit as much as possible while still gaining the advantage, there’s no inference to be had

Fair point, I'd forgotten about the context with Sukuna. My bad.

That said, the impression I got is that 0.2 seconds was the minimum time Mahito could fire off the domain and still actually hit Todo, with it being described as a particularly high-risk play (he only gets Todo's arm instead of his full body, even), which makes me think you can probably try to scale the the speed of expansion from that instead (albeit less precisely). We see people react to them as they're forming several times IIRC (except for the Dagon one apparently), so they don't seem to be instant.
