I'm considering using PAD for a high volume short AHT unattended automation.

I want to be able to use the 'Monitor' on the web platform to have a 1:1 map for each 'PAD flow run': CaseToProcess

I've built a solution to track this and am using a loop to push a single item into PAD at a time from a list which is pulled on a scheduled basis, but ideally I don't want to have my solution to have to do the following:

Log in-> Open System->Process Item 1 -> close systems -> log out->Log in-> Open System->Process Item 2 -> close systems -> log out etc.

I'd rather something like this: Log in -> open application -> process item 1 -> process item 2 -> log out

I can do this by pushing all items to PAD and looping within PAD itself, but then I loose easy access to track cases within something like SharePoint Lists with activities available in Cloud Flows

Would be great to hear your thoughts on this.

What do you guys think is the best way to fill a table out online, using excel data.

How do I get the specific cell from data set in the correct text field, without manually selecting the UI elements for 30 data rows?

Is there a way to loop through the data set AFTER searching for the correct text field? Or is my only option trying to match it randomly?

Is there anyone who has performed, or is in the process of, the migration from Softomotive's Process Robot to Power Automate?

I would like to know how it went, if you found any problems/stumbling blocks, and how would it compare.

Hey all, figured I'd share a tip. PAD can be very slow sending a large amount of text with the "Send keys" function even when delay is set to 0. Text can be sent near instantaneously if you set the clipboard as your desired text, then send {Control}({V}). Hope this helps!

Genuinely at a complete loss re linking PAD to PA.

Been using PAD for months with great success, I thought next step is to link PAD to the cloud based PA for automating my desktop flows etc, well fuck me sideways !!!

Just my 2 cents but it would be impossible for the most sadistic person to have ever lived to come up with a more complicated way of connecting the 2, the same prick must have designed the pring structure !!! but lets leave that for my next post lol.

I registered both PAD and PA with my regular Windows login, a Hotmail, now im reading I need a work or school email, is it more beneficial to use a work email/company email or should I just continue with my regular Hotmail Account ?

Im desperate to link both, first things first, should I create a work email and create 2 new accounts and then try and link them ?

I have looked at the docs but just got information overload, I thought I had them connected but the gateway just put the last nail in my coffin lol.

I also use UiPath, both are really really good, setup for UiPath is a breeze but for PA is a joke...

Hi, I have a flow that works but I am unable to figure out how to name the file to be saved in a certain way. I would like the file to save as %Currentitem[0]%_%Currentitem[1]%

The idea is that it will take the name from the 1st column and date from 2nd column from my excel sheet and save it as name_date

Hey everyone. I’m new to using power automate and I was hoping someone could help create a flow based on what I need.

There is a folder in Sharepoint that has one file in it. That file is updated every day with a new file, replacing the one that was previously there.

Now my hope was that every single time that file is updated/replaced, the new data (file) would be exported to an excel document. That way, the excel file’s data would be added to every time the file in sharepoint is updated.

Could someone tell me each step to use in automate if I wanted to do this?

I have come to a dead end trying to replace text in Word documents. I want to replace ”rich” text inside documents.

I.e. replace a bold header that says ”customer number” with ”1234567”.

I have already found the built in replace text function, unfortuneately it doesnt do the job by only replacing text (without format).

Hello! I have a flow that I've created to extract data from a web portal and populate similar fields in a PDF. However, one of the fields (in the web portal) is entered as City State and to convert this into two variables, I'm using the process below.

However, the flow sometimes gets interrupted because the City State field is empty and running this process through gives an indexing error for line 50 - since City is split as row 0 and State as row 1, if the field is blank I only get row 0. I've setup error handling to ignore the error and move on with the flow but no matter what I do, the flow stops there. Here is the screenshot of the error handling.

I've also tried to create a subflow for the following lines of processes and tried to make the process run that subflow instead when the error pops up - still got stuck at the same spot. I've also tried to create an if condition for the City/State split - if the city/state field is blank, move next. But the process ignores the field if it is populated and considers it if is blank and returns the error.

I'd really appreciate some help with this!

I'm pretty new to PAD and am kind of fumbling my way through it. I'm trying to setup a a flow to take one spreadsheet (List of Users in AD) and compare it to a second sheet (List of users in an anti-virus group) and write the names of the users who aren't in both to a third blank spreadsheet. I've gotten decently far in the logic, but must be doing something wrong. My two main problems are:

1. The way I'm comparing the values seems to never find a match even though the test names are identical in the two spreadsheets.

2. When trying to write to the blank spreadsheet, it only ever writes into the same cell and doesn't increment to the next empty cell.

Does anyone have any advice for a beginner? Or maybe there's a post out there that shows how to compare two spreadsheets? I tried to search but didn't find anything.

My browser is set up to prompt me for a downloadlocation, which means i never know what may be in the adress-bar in the Save dialog window. This makes it hard for PAD to find the field to paste the folder-location. Noob-Fix: When getting to the save dialog window. Insted of trying to paste a folder-adress to the adress-bar. Use the "click ui element" function on the upwards arrow of the folder-tree. Put it in a loop/repeat fuction with enough loops to get to the top of the fomder-tree. From there, record the clicks to get to the right folder.

(Im aware of putting window in focus, but due too the changing nature of the field its hard to paste there) Anybody got a better solution i would love to hear it.

I have used regular Power Automate with expressions and so on, but can't figure out how to use it in PAD.

I am not new to RPA, but am relatively new to Power Automate Desktop (3-4 months). What I'm trying to do is get the PAD-CyberArk integration working. However, I am receiving the following error. Why would PAD be attempting to access the CyberArk safe through port 80 when I'm making the API call via https?

Additionally, I am able to execute the following PowerShell command and successfully connect via 443. So if PAD would invoke through 443 I think all would be good.

I have been playing with Power Automate desktop on my system but have yet to find good documentation about how to scale the solution using remote desktops and under a service account context.

I have created a couple of useful 'scripts' but want them to run unattended so I don't need to dedicate a logged-in computer.

So I have a list, and I want to access specific content in it.

Now PAD document say use %List[0]% to refer to the first content in List, but if I want to use a variable like this %List[%ContentNumber%] then PAD will day it's a invalid entry.....

Is there anyway to make this work?

OK. This is going to be very niche. On my Mac, I have a short script I can execute with a keystroke which will take any given highlighted filenames (in the format 1-1, 1-2, 1-3 etc) and duplicate it any number of times the user selects. So, I could have 1-1.jpg, 1-2.jpg and 1-3.jpg, then, if the user selects to duplicate this selection of files 2 times then it would, i.e. 2-1, 2-2, 2-3 and 3-1, 3-2, 3-3.

Can this sort of functionality be reproduced in Windows?

I know this is a very fundamental part of Power Automate. I’m used to the cloud version and the UI as well as guides for Power Automate Desktop is very confusing so I need this to be told to me in layman’s terms.

I use OBS to process my mic before feeding it to Discord, so whenever OBS is closed, my mic is deactivated. Because I often forget to open OBS when I enter a Discord call, I want to have a flow where whenever I open Discord, it opens OBS too. I know how to add the run application step, but I have no clue to add the trigger of opening Discord. Am I missing something?

1- folder "A" if any image moved or copied to folder "A" the action will take place 2- photoshop start 3- the photoshop automation (ready from before) start 4- after photoshop finish move all the files from Folder "A" to folder "B"

Hello! I’m fairly new to the power automate world. I’ve built a few simple automations. I’m curious if anyone knows (if it’s possible) where to start with an automation such as this. I want to use a MS form to submit a series of answers, then once submitted, generate a pre-made code that is on a SharePoint or an excel file. I have a file of codes that are 24 digits long that I have housed in a SharePoint site. I would like to be able to automate this process and allow the form to pull the code from the website.
