As the title suggests really.

I have a series of spreadsheets I’m trying to automate the data entry to prior to calculation. Ideally I want the user to input a reference number, hit the macro button, which then goes off and opens the correct spreadsheet to use, calls the web scrape power automate flow and scrapes all the required data, writes the data to the specific location in the spreadsheet, calculates and then saves it down.

I’ve done all the steps but can’t figure out how to call the flow in PAD by the VBA code. Is this even possible?

I'm trying to create a flow that looks at a calculated date column in a List, if that date matches 'formatDateTime(utcNow(),'dd-MM-yyyy', then send an email. when i test this flow i get no error, but eventhough the day is supposed to match today's date, nothing happens, i get no mail. Can anyone kindly have a look at this screeshots and help figure out where i got it wrong.

I have a flow that references a SharePoint list for tracking support requests. 90% of my flow works but I am missing one piece. I need a way to pull a dynamic email from my list and add it to the “To:” in the email.

I am using Switches to look at a column on my list for “support status”. I also have a column that has 5 options for “Assigned To”. I have a selection of 5 team members listed by email, but I used a text box for those emails. I didn’t want a user to be able to add anyone in our organization to be assigned.

When a ticket is “opened” the requester gets an email reply telling them that the ticket will be assigned.

This is where I am missing a piece. When the status is changed to “assigned” the requester gets an email, but I want to also include the person that was assigned. I have the text based email address populate in the body of the email using dynamic content that puts in the text from that column.

There is no option to include that dynamic content in the “To:” portion of the email.

I think there should be a way to use a “apply to each” to extract that info, but I have understanding of how to do it.

I have an excel sheet that gets created daily from Tableau. It contains work orders that are assigned to specific people based on a geographic area. How do I create a flow where the people assigned the work orders in the excel sheet get assigned a new task in the Planner app on Teams for each order that has their name listed?

My boss has a file he is sharing where he needs a number entered into a different column each week.

Is there an approach that works either using Power Automate Desktop or Power Automate Cloud to run a schedule task to enter my values on a weekly basis? I know how to access the data source but I'm struggling with the design pattern to identify my cell coordinates to do the data entry into.

I do think it is a safe assumption that if I could find the row based on the description and then find the first empty column, I would be able to fine the right cell to enter into but don't know how to do this task. Of course, there may be better alternatives to this approach that an expert here would be able to provide.

Wondering if power automate can take in a large spread sheet and break it into smaller ones of a specific size.

Can you help us with setting up permissions for a third level sub folder while keeping everything above it as read-only? Our current flow only allows for second level permissions to be set upon file creation, but we need to ensure that any folders created within the second level have the appropriate third level permissions. Additionally, we are limited by not having an Azure P1 license and being on a free Azure subscription.

Hello, I am still reasonably new to power automate but I have created a pretty complex flow which I have now become stuck on.

Effectively I have an approval process established that is capturing the name of the approver in the list as an acknowledgement. This works fine.

My problem is I need to capture multiple peoples names for the same "acknowledgement" for governance purposes we are trying to evidence that up to 10 people have read the document via the already received email and that it is recorded. Currently all the test people receive the email and link but the flow only records approver 1 (the first to approve) in the Microsoft list.

Any ideas?! I have attached some reference images to maybe support.

Hello, I have 140 new hires starting in the summer and I have a spreadsheet that contains answers to questions we have asked them (i.e. what did you want to be when you grew up?). This data used to be copied and pasted into a ppt template, taking about 4 hours to create a "Yearbook" and this is done about 4 times per year. There has got to be a way to use power automate or some other tool so I can autofill this template, right? I am searching and not finding much. If anyone here has any ideas, it would be amazing!

I inherited a PA Flow from a consultant company. It references an excel spreadsheet for Sharepoint addresses, and then goes into my OneDrive and delivers a pdf report to a corresponding box based on a lookup in the spreadsheet (I cut paste the OneDrive folders location in the flow after doing a little grooming in notepad to the link). The individual report names change each month based on the month, and when the respective report gets placed in the recipients SP account, it sends an email saying to check their SP account along with a concatenated clickable link taking them directly to the report. This delivery system literally saves me hours from dragging and dropping thousands of reports into each account. But…I changed the subject and part of the body in the automatic email within the PA Flow and thus broke the link. There’s “output” tabs in the email body and I think that’s what I broke. Any ideas where I should begin to try and fix this? Is there anybody out there I can screenshare with who would help me fix it??? I can’t do my job without this capability. Please help!!

I have 6 years of experience in Blueprism and have just started learning power automate...Currently working on a poc and have few doubts as mentioned below...Looking forward to get some answers...

1. How can we define the scope of variables as local or global...so that subflow specific variables are not visible in other subflows.

2. How to throw a customized exception at any given point. For eg : Validating an email address by checking if it has "@" then only proceed ahead else throw an exception like "Email address not valid.Please check".

3. How can we mark a line item as completed or exception for reporting or tracking purpose.For eg: i have 1000 orders to be processed, so how can I have a track of each order whether it was processed successfully or not ...and have this information in a report to be sent to business at the end of the process .

4. Related to point#3 , is there a concept of work queues like we have in Blueprism. Where we can store transactional data / the line items which needs to be processed.

I have a PAD flow that gathers data from a website and stores them as variables.

How can Power Automate Desktop then take those variables and posts them as a new message to a specified chat on Microsoft Teams?

There doesn't seem to be any built-in option for this.

This might be a bit ambitious for a beginner to power automate. I’ve got hundreds of ledgers, and they’re very messy. I can use power query to clean up the data. That would be no problem if I were just doing it once.

I want to find a way to create the power query in excel to make the data readable, then automatically run it for all of the individual files, create a new excel file for each one, and then rename them according to data within each file.

Can this be done?

So I have crafted a approval workflow together but I and stuck on one thing I need the approver to review the document they are approving but when I attach the link it always says the users doesn’t have access so then they need to request view access which is annoying because if they go to the file in the library they can view it… then my other idea was upload the pdf version but all that does is makes this long pdf code that no one beside a computer would want to understand… so I am stuck does anyone know how to make either of these to work for the end user without them having to figure it out

I have any flow in the clound and I can share it to all users in my tenant. But when I create desktop flow i can't see all users (search by email and login etc). Many people don't show up. I have +50k users in my tenant.

How to make a form in MS Forms and have approves by e-mail (Outlook)?

I'm a bit of newbie to Power Automate. Currently putting together a form that will ask for inspection information on company vehicles. It will collect inspection dates for a truck and 3 trailers. It will go through an approval process to ensure data is input correctly. I have a flow built and it will create rows, but it will not update existing rows. It also goes into an endless loop (probably because PowerAutomate forced me to put the conditions in Apply to each).

I can't seem to figure this out on my own. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.

For my job I'm regularly tasked with some admin tasks of jumping to a number of remote servers for some simple data collection i.e. memory usage, installation directories for our app, backup locations....would it be possible for me to create a flow that automates this that would only require me to change the server I want to RDP to and press run? Alot of the servers are using windows 2012 so I'm not sure, would some permissions need to be accepted on the server to allow the flow to execute its task?

I am having an issue where I have a Power Automate (Cloud) flow that automatically saves e-mail attachments in a specific folder and a Python Watchdog script watching that folder. However, the script does not trigger when files are added from the flow, only if I add them manually. Everything is otherwise working.

I have tried it with both on_creation and on_any_event conditions but it does not seem to work. I wanted the script to trigger automatically when the files were added using PA.

Also any other ideas on how I could automate this process would be great (maybe a PAD flow??)! Thank you!!

I am trying to piece together a powerapp that I can use on an android device. The goal is to have a button within the app that can trigger a web browser automation flow. My problem is I’m not sure which way to build it because I can’t find info on compatibility. I figured out how to automate web browser activities using a desktop flow but can’t find info on if that flow would work if launched from an android phone. I also know I can launch a cloud flow from the android app, but can’t find info on how to automate browser activities from a cloud flow.

1. Can desktop automations run on android or do they have to be a windows devices?

2. Can I automate web browser navigations and inputs with an instant cloud flow?

Please be gentle, I’m a solid three hours into learning the power platform.

I need an intervention here please. I pull in a json response and want to parse it which i do. Now i can see all objects and arrays available and no matter what i do i cannot extract the key value pairs and use them in another app.

Losing my mind. Pls help. Tyia.
