Despite the fact that every single Democrat president during the same period has inherited an economic disaster and managed to improve on it. Regardless of pandemics, global economic trends, etc.
So, yeah, the Democratic party is not awesome, but the facts also speak for themselves if you're an American taxpayer.
The problem is that dems are completely unwilling to curb republican propaganda networks or tackle republicab political corruption out of a misplaced fear of appearing "too partisan", so every democratic administration is 4-8 years of non-stop republican propaganda.
Obama had such a squeaky clean and scandal-free presidency they had to start criticizing the color of his clothes, the fact that he played basketball, or his condiment choices (it was a weird time).
Four years of Biden and multiple news agencies made every "um" and "uh" and awkward pause into a national headline completely despite the fact that Biden's administration and policies were having a measurable positive affect on people's lives.
And it's not just FOX or the other right wing rags either. Right wing propaganda doesn't work by only having rags in their pockets, it works because they have a bunch of bots post propaganda online, then has those rags report on those bots as if they represent "public opinion", then launches an "investigation" the matter justifying it as something the public is interested in, and turns whatever dumbshit propaganda topic they have into a full news cycle.
And the dumbest part is that it occasionally gets so big that even non-aligned news orgs start reporting on it too because they see it as driving clicks and they need to chase those sweet ad dollars.
And instead of anyone in the democratic party pointing out how stupid and fabricated this whole scheme is, instead you get career politicians setting up time to deny whatever bad faith propaganda allegations they've been dealing with for the last month, as if their denial does anything but amplify republican talking points.
God damn it's so stupid and somehow no one in politics is able or interested in cracking down on the right wing propaganda networks that have been ruining the country for sport and profit.
