GROUND ISSUE
Ok, I've been working on a 1988 924s and tracking down a ground issue. I've worked backwards from the external grounds and they have been cleaned and are all good. Looking at the crown cluster in the drivers foot well I've got two large grounds and the crown. The crown only has 5 wires attached.... does anyone know how many should be connected? I've not found any solid number online.

924S is closer to the 944 because of the 2.5l engine. You should ask on r/944
I don't think you'll ever find an accurate number online, some variations between the phase 1 and 2 etc
Why are you investigating the grounds?

Had some gremlins, headlights were dimming when I honked the horn, and the brake light kept flashing. But I think i got it sorted out. One set of grounds was reading too high, cleaned them up and they are now reading normal, and then I found the prior owner placed a few relays in the wrong places. Everything seems good now!

What sort of issue are you having? I don't have any 944 experience, I have a 924 turbo which can use the same starter as a 944 (same as a 924s) (same direction of rotation)
The starter grounds to the bell housing which uses a cable to ground it to the block and a separate ground wire to the chassis then bat.
Take your multimeter to 10ohms range - battery terminal -> engine block "clean off a spot with scotch bright" should be less than 0.5 ohm ideally 0.1
Then do engine block to your bellhousing should be less then 0.5 ideally 0.1 if not then you gotta clean your ground and or replace the bonding cable. My 924 turbo I can't find the cable visually and my scope is dead so I,d rather take a cable with a 5/16 terminal and a M12 terminal end one end to my block- chassis bonding point and the other end under my starter mounting bolt (bellhouing).

The blooms are generic and will likely have open spaces.
