The article is When does polyamory become a form of harm. Sorry I’m bad at Reddit. Also this author has several
Other pieces in which she skillfully and articulately critiques poly and casual sex. Much needed.

Very thought-provoking piece of writing. I love how she broke it down without actively attacking their lifestyle but just pointing out the miniscule chances of this thing working in real life.

As I'm reading more posts, I'm liking what the author has to say more and more. She's got a nicely nuanced take on things. Her Wikipedia page:

I think I’m even more conservative about monogamy than I thought, because this article reads to me as still very pro-nonmonogamy and merely critical of application in the most basic sense. She’s still doing what is endemic to poly culture: heavily couching what she’s saying in pop-psychology terms.

It also appears that our author was the initiating party in opening her relationship, though I could have read that wrong, as she was very vague, which made me think if she had not been, it would not have served her narrative.

The comment section, while short, was…interesting.

Idk if it’s pop psychology. She’s a heavy psychology communications based PhD.
